This study examined the effect of beauty involvement on self-satisfaction by conspicuous consumption tendency groups. A questionnaire method was used for this study. The subjects of this research were females in their 20s~50s. We distributed 580 questionnaires ets; constantly, 554 sets were used in the final analysis. Data were analyzed by factor analysis, ANOVA, cluster analysis, Cronbach's alpha coefficient and multiple regression analysis. Beauty consumption behavior factors were classified with hair styling, skin management, make-up and body shaping. Self-satisfaction factors were classified with living, appearance, economic and interpersonal relation. This study classified 4 conspicuous consumption groups (active, passive, syntonic and individuality & frugal group). The active conspicuous consumption group was unsatisfied with most of the self-satisfaction factors. The passive conspicuous consumption group was more interested in skin management factors than other factors. The syntonic conspicuous consumption group was interested in make-up, body shaping and skin management in order to provide a positive impression to other people. The individuality & frugal group was most interested in body shaping that could be achieved at low cost through exercise and diet.
Purpose: This study aimed to investigate the status of caffeine-containing energy drink consumption among Korean nursing students and to identify associated psychological factors. Methods: In total, 187 Korean nursing students participated in this cross-sectional study. A self-administered questionnaire was used to identify participants' general characteristics and psychosocial factors (self-esteem, academic stress, depression, and college adjustment) associated with energy drink consumption. Data were analyzed with SPSS using descriptive statistics, the $x^2$ test, the t-test, and logistic regression. Results: More than two-thirds (73.3%) of the participants had consumed energy drinks. Among the investigated psychological factors, depression appeared to most strongly influence energy drink consumption behaviors in this population. Conclusion: The consumption of caffeine-containing energy drinks was found to be common among nursing students preparing to become health care professionals; depressed nursing students were more likely to have consumed energy drinks than non-depressed students. Nursing educators should emphasize the early detection of unhealthy beverage consumption habits and provide appropriate education to enhance healthy behaviors in future health care professionals.

This study investigates ethical fashion consumption factors and corporate social responsibility (CSR) factors to segment consumer groups by ethical fashion consumption (EFC) and identify differences of EFC groups in the perception of CSR and demographics. I surveyed 390 people over age 20 in February and March, 2017. Data were analyzed with factorial analysis, cluster analysis, ANOVA, LSD, Chi-square, Cronbach's ${\alpha}$, using SPSS 20.0. The survey showed. 1) Five EFC factors (boycott/active purchase, donation/environmental protection, saving, legal consumption, and recycle) were extracted. 2) Four CSR factors (responsibility for stakeholder, ethical/environmental responsibility, social/charitable responsibility, and economic responsibility) were extracted. 3) EFC consumers were classified into four segments (low ethic, recycle, legal, and high ethic). 4) The perception of CSR factors was different among EFC groups. 5) The distribution of age level, education level, occupation, monthly purchase cost of clothing, and religion were different among EFC groups.
This study was to examine how consumption value of female consumers affects impulse consumption and purchase satisfaction when they buy bakery goods, present specific determinant factors that affect them, and identify its influencing factors. The survey was conducted with those who have bought bakery goods of female consumers in Seoul and Kyonggi area, using a convenience sampling method. After a total of 400 responses was collected, 366 responses were included for the multiple regression analyses in order to test the hypotheses. To summarize findings from this study, analysis of the first hypothesis showed that "emotional impulse buying," "stimulating impulse buying," "reminder impulse buying," and "situational impulse buying" among impulse buying factors in consumption value factors had positive effects. The second hypothesis analyzed that "emotional impulse buying," "stimulating impulse buying," and "situational impulse buying" gave positive impacts on "purchase satisfaction," while "reminder impulse buying" had no influence. Analysis of the third hypothesis demonstrated that "consumption value" had positive effects on "purchase satisfaction." These findings were significant to examine consumption value that show the consuming pattern of consumers, analyze influencing factors on impulse buying of female consumers, and further present marketing strategies used for advantageous tools with competing stores to bakery owners or marketers.
Background and Purpose : To prevent ischemic cerebral infarction, it is very important to reduce risk factors which might cause stroke. However, the relationship of coffee consumption with ischemic cerebral infarction still remains unclear. The purpose of this study was to investigate the effects of coffee consumption on the risk of ischemic cerebral infarction in Koreans. Methods : A case-control study was conducted from April 1, 2001 to July 31, 2004. Cases (n=435) of first incident ischemic cerebral infarction were enrolled and were mostly matched by age to stroke-free hospital controls (n=407). All subjects were interviewed, examined and had anthropometric measurements by using an organized questionnaire. The coffee consumption was classified by the average frequency of intake, being none, 1 cup/day, 2-4 cups/day, more than 5 cups/day. Odds ratios (ORs) of ischemic cerebral infarction were proved multivariate analysis after adjustment for demographic factors, diet factors, and vascular risk factors. Results : When adjusted for sex, age, and other factors, coffee consumption and stroke do not have a significant association. (${\leq}$ cup/day OR=1.035, 95% CI=0.880-2.756; 2-4cups/day OR=1.452, 95% CI=0.864-2.440; ${\geq}$ 5 cups/day OR=1.557, 95% CI=0.705-3.435) Conclusions : In this study, we conclude that coffee consumption is not an important risk factor of ischemic cerebral infarction in Koreans. Prospective and cohort study on the relation between coffee consumption and the possibility of inducing ischemic cerebral infarctions in Koreans will be required in the future.

The purpose of this study is to closely describe the meaning of the clothing conformity behavior of female consumers in today's society. In this process, the vanity scale was used as a precedence variable, on the other hand, clothing consumption value and information search behavior was used as outcome variable, which has an effect on the clothing conformity behavior. The subjects were 300 females who live in Seoul and Kyung-gi. The data were analyzed by Cronbach's ${\alpha}$, Factor analysis, Regression and ANOVA using SPSS program. The results were as follows. First, the vanity scale was classified into four factors, a concern and a positive view for each achievement and appearance. Clothing consumption value was divided into five factors; fashion, appearance attractiveness, emotional, social and functional clothing consumption value. Clothing conformity behavior was classified into three factors; normal, informational, and identified conformity factor. Second, various vanity scales influenced the clothing conformity behavior factors. In particular, concern for achievement and appearance were more important factors to clothing conformity behavior. Among six clothing consumption values, fashion was a more significant factor affected by clothing conformity behavior. Also, various conformity behaviors influenced the information search behaviors. Finally, according to age, school record, and pocket money, there were significant differences in clothing conformity behaviors and vanity factors.
The objective of this study is to analyze the factors increased use of environmentalfriendly agricultural product in school food service. For this, I surveyed the perceptions on environmental-friendly agricultural product and willingness-to-pay for increasing use to 500 parents of elementary, middle and high school. As a result, the perception of environment and safety is the highest, but health and consumption is the lowest. The average of willingness-to-pay is about 12,136 Won per month. But 14.2 percent of the total respondents said that they did not have a willingness-to-pay, and 62.6 percent said that they would pay an additional 10,000 won or less. The factors affecting the willingness-to-pay were gender, income, health and consumption factors. Despite the low level of parents' perception of the health and consumption factors for environmental-friendly agricultural products, health and consumption factors affect statistically significant on the willingness-to-pay compared to others. Most of the promotion and education of environmental-friendly agricultural products has focused on safety, but this study suggests that education on the health and correct consumption of environmental-friendly agricultural products is important.
Purpose - The purpose of this study is to ascertain the influence of individual consumption values and consumption tendencies on repurchase intention. It aims to examine how individual characteristics affect purchasing behavior in response to social environmental changes. Design/Methodology/Approach - This study targeted individuals who have experience purchasing convenience store lunches in Korea and collected 201 survey responses. Exploratory Factor Analysis (EFA) and Multiple Regression Analysis were employed to analyze the data. Findings - Individual consumption values significantly influenced consumption tendencies. Additionally it was found that both consumption values and consumption tendencies have some significant impact on repurchase intention. However, certain factors had a significant influence specifically in the context of negative relationships, which was analyzed to be influenced by social environmental changes. Research Implications and Limitations - This study verified the clear relationship between consumption values, consumption tendencies, and repurchase intention, such as product purchase. However, it also verified that the relationship of these factors does not necessarily have a strictly positive impact. It suggests that future marketing research should also investigate factors such as the increase of single-person households and social environmental changes.
The purposes of this study were to investigate the emotional consumption propensity and the preferences for sensibility factors of fabrics(color tone, pattern and texture image), and to analyse the differences according to demographic variables and relationships between emotional consumption propensity and preferences for sensibility factors of fabrics, focusing on male and female consumers in 20's, 30's and 40's. The emotional consumption propensity were classified into symbolic consumption propensity, individual consumption propensity, aesthetic consumption propensity and hedonic consumption propensity. The subjects attached great importance in the order of aesthetic consumption propensity, individual consumption propensity and symbolic consumption propensity. Those factors of emotional consumption propensity showed partially significant difference according to demographic variables. Female consumers preferred various color tones than men did, and preference for light color tone showed significant differences according to gender and occupation of consumers. The preferences for floral pattern showed significant difference according to gender, age, education, occupation and marital status of consumers. The factors of the texture images for the fabrics showed partially significant difference according to demographic variables except education of consumers. There were almost significant relationships between emotional consumption propensity and the preferences for sensibility factors for fabrics.
Energy consumption in university building has steadily increased over the last decade, and a strong upward trend in recent years. This study was undertaken to analyze the relationship between energy consumption and their affecting factors, six academic buildings were considered. The factors limited to heating and cooling, which is the main end use (nearly 60 per cent of total energy consumption in university buildings), encompassing system and operating schedules (user activity) and area use. To understand how to building is used, operated and managed, walk-through assessment was conducted as well as interview with university staff. The results show that the energy consumption of the humanities building was somewhat smaller than the consumption of the science and engineering building, and its range was from $31.26kgoe/m^2$ to $23.52kgoe/m^2$, depending on heating and cooling system and area use. And the energy consumption of the science and engineering building was related to operating schedules (user activity) as well as laboratory equipment characteristics. More analysis on a larger number of buildings is required in the future, including building form and material performance level to generalize the significant factors influencing building energy consumption.
