  • In the flood of information, many consumers want to choose the style that is suitable for their sensibility, which is usefulness and need for personalized services have been steadily increasing. This study made a video of personalized internet shopping mall and then university students (N=170) who have been using the internet shopping mall were asked to experience this and the change in consumer response was measured. According to level of personalization, this study found difference of web-site evaluation, satisfaction/internet behavior and quality evaluations of products. With regard to preferred types of internet shopping malls and the number of access, the difference was investigated. The results are as follows. First, subjects who experienced internet shopping mall of active personalization showed higher level of active personalization. Level of passive personalization differed depending on preferred types of internet shopping malls, for example, people who prefer online apparel shopping mall were low but people who prefer complex big shopping mall and social commerce were high. Second, after experiencing internet shopping mall of active personalization, satisfaction/internet behavior and quality evaluations of products did not change but passive personalization decreased and active personalization and web-site evaluation increased. Third, the number of access to internet shopping mall positively correlated with satisfaction/internet behavior and web-site evaluation, on the other hand, active personalization negatively correlated with satisfaction/internet behavior and web-site evaluation.

  • With the development and proliferation of three-dimensional(3D) printers, consumers in modern society can now print products of what they want three-dimensionally at home. However, consumers themselves would have to produce digital design maps that are compatible with 3D printers and to set up the optimum printing quality and temperature, as well as to pay for maintenance and repair of 3D printers and to respond to any possible lawsuits related to intellectual property right about designs in order to make possible consumer-tailored manufacturing through 3D printing. However, in reality, since it is very difficult for consumers to respond to these issues, it is necessary to develop services that perform 3D printing on behalf of consumers in the desired direction. Motivated by this objective, this study investigated user experiences on Shapeways(www.shapeways.com), which is a global online 3D printing product and sales companies, from many viewpoints in order to obtain insight into 3D printing services and modes which were preferred by consumers. The study result showed that quantitative evaluations on usability, search process, price adequacy, re-visit intention, diversity of design, and satisfaction of design was scored low overall. Furthermore, this study acquired insight about consumer-tailored 3D printing services through constructive suggestions on multi-language support, openness of manufacturing process, simultaneous operation of online and offline sites, design-oriented consumer-tailored manufacturing service, services that ensure delivery safety and product durability, and surface finishing services. This study is expected to provide a wide range of opinions not only on 3D printing service platform development but also on related industry and research.

  • As the machinery-centered mechanism has been changing into human-entered digitalization and urbanization, industrial and social structures gradually become softer. Also in design, with the growing success in solving technological problems, a new dimensional concept is demanded, along with the expanded scope of design application. For the purpose of developing a furniture design contributing to better human life, the study aims to sufficiently examine senses and psychological conditions of human beings and explore the design practically meeting consumer's desires. It is necessary to systemize and establish the study on human senses as one of the scientific fields in the near future and work together with experts from a wide range of areas, by reflecting the outcomes of studies on furniture design. In addition, it is expected that exploration of sensible furniture meeting consumer's demands and effective understanding resulted problems will help such design applied to sociability and humanity problems in a reasonable manner as a sensible design.

And the label types and fashion words were analyzed and investigated in terms of consumer's sensibility, preferences and estimated product price. The results are following: consumers preferred loanword label than Hangul label, and they preferred loanword in English than that in Korean. They evaluated loanword more positively, such as refinement, gorgeous and elegant, etc. and estimated the product price of loanword label as higher. But in the sensibility of 'familiar' and 'stability', Hangul label was not significantly different to loanword written in Hangul. That is, label written in English is the highest in all the evaluation, and loanword label written in Hangul is next, and Hangul label showed the lowest result. Consumers showed the evaluation differently between loanwords and Hangul according to their degree in fashion involvement. Consumers of high fashion involvement evaluated the sensibilities of 'refinement', 'elegant', and 'gorgeous' of loanwords as higher, whereas they had tendency to evaluate the sensibilities of 'familiar' and 'stability' of Hangul as higher or similar.

This research will be based on the Prada Tokyo Epee Center's architectural process, designed by Herzog De Moron, focusing on the relationship between the space design process and strategy and experimental marketing aiming towards the architect's intention and goal in relation to perceptive communication. This paper will thus look into how experiential marketing strategies, prominent in marketing, are being shown in comsumer spaceas design elements. It will further investigate into how design elements is being used as a tool for product sales and brand image reconstruction. In conclusion, authors discuss importance of experimental marketing tool in the current consumer society and role of contemporary architects who need to consider design that does not only satisfy their customers but further stimulates their desires.

The questionnaire survey of beverage bottles in experiment extract to haptic elements were estimated in various surface of bottles and consumer preference through practical touch by managed objects themselves. The experimental groups for this survey, one is using sight and sense of touch both, the other groups are use sense of touch only without sense of sight. Therefore, to find out effective factors for design and functional matter as the kind of treating surface and properties derived from comparing two experimental groups have recognition in level of priority for each element related with haptical design sources. Finally, considering practical use schema with emotional approach based on haptical property to adopting design process.
