The Korean government introduced the $6^{th}$ industrialization in the agricultural sector to increase farmers' income and value-added agricultural products. The U.S. government has also supported farmers' efforts to increase their income and value-added products in a similar way even though the $6^{th}$ industrialization is not the usual concept in the U.S. Especially, direct-to-consumer and intermediated marketing is one of the main methods to increase farmers' income and value-added agricultural products in the U.S. The purpose of this paper was to analyze direct-to-consumer and intermediated marketing in the U.S., through a survey and frequency analysis. The results of this study are as follows: First, U.S. farmers have shifted their concern and efforts from direct-to-consumer marketing to intermediated marketing because intermediated marketing may offer higher value-added agricultural products. However, consumers' perception and interest are higher for direct-to-consumer marketing than for intermediated marketing of agricultural products and related services. Consumers also will increase the portion of consumption of agricultural products and related services through direct-to-consumer marketing. This difference between farmers and consumers may cause difficulties in increasing farmers' income and value-added agricultural products in the U.S. Korean farmers may have same problem in the future, even though they have not encountered it yet. Especially, the Korean government needs to develop the capabilities of farmers so that they can solve this problem.
Company strategy that considers market trend becomes a more important key to success in the new product development. Well-being as a present social trend has created a huge new product market. but with increasing number of camouflaged well-being products that are not fulfilled consumer needs. The purpose of this study is to understand the concept of well-being products from a consumer point of view an to find five consumer values based on the consumer value model of Sheth, Newman, and Gross(1991) through conducting content analysis from semi-structured individual In-depth Interviews. This study has a significance in identifying the detailed consumer value attributes and influence factors by collecting practical and reach qualitative data in the lack of systematic research of domestic well-being market and its products from a consumer point of view. The result of this study will be a foundation of future quantitative researches and provide a guideline to companys' well-being marketing strategy.
The purpose of this study was to understand consumer use and awareness of refill-products in perspective of environmental protections. One hundread seventy-four married women living around Cheongju-city were selected because married women are the major buyers of refill-procucts. The major findings were as follows: 1) While detergents refill-products were found to be the most favorable one, cosmetics refill-products were found to be the worst favorable. 2) Married women complained different quality and quantity between refill-products and nonrefill-products in general. 3) Price was the most important reason to use refill-products rather than environmental protection. 4)The more respondents had refill-products information, the more respondents used refill-proeucts 5) The level of consumer awareness of refill products examined in perspective of enviornmental protection was found to be very high(3.3/4). 6)There was no significant relatioships between consumer use and awareness of refill-products examined in perspective of environmental protection.

Evaluation on jean products were varied although they were the identical jeans. Therefore, we could confirm the bias by price. brand, and store when consumer evaluating jean products. The various consumer characteristics also provided effects evaluation on jean products. An evaluation on jean products is very subjective and the degrees depending on these three cues could be varied by consumer's characteristics. For empirical study, experiments by the subjects among students of ewha womans university were done by using jeans as stimulus. Data was collected by a questionnaire made up by a researcher based on the theoretical and pretest. Data was analyzed by ANOVA, factor analysis, grouping analysis, F-test, and etc. 571 data were analysed out of the 600 data. Cues such as price, brand, and store affected significantly the evaluation of jeans. The most important cue of all three was store, then price, and then brand. These three cues affected the evaluation of jean products separately and together. The result of the study was that the consumers characteristics mediated the effects of extrinsic cues like price, brand, and store on jean products evaluation. Consumer's characteristics like prior knowledge and shopping orientation mediated the effects of price, and store cue on jean products evaluation.
This study examined differences in consumers' images of short-term income forest products, preference, willingness to pay prices and purchase behavior according to dietary lifestyle as well as investigated what factors influence the degree of satisfaction when purchasing short-term income forest products and willingness to repurchase. According to dietary lifestyle, the results classified consumers as 'frugal housewife type,' 'convenience-seeking type,' and 'food high-involvement type.' A 'food high-involvement group' is defined as a group that wants high quality products regardless of price. In the 'frugal housewife type,' country of origin and hygiene/safety (considered when purchasing food) had positive influences on the degree of satisfaction. In the 'convenience-seeking type,' country of origin (considered when purchasing food) had a positive influence on the degree of satisfaction while country of origin (checked when purchasing food) had a negative influence on degree of satisfaction. Consumers had a lack of perception for short-term income forest products; subsequently, short-term income forest products had a weakness of low access to consumers. Therefore, farms for short-term income forest products need to divide products into 'high-priced' luxury products and 'low-priced' frugal products according to dietary lifestyle characteristics, improve packaging status to enable consumers to check quality certificates, and clearly indicate country of origin as well as improve distribution processes and increase consumer access to products.

The low price around 1000 USD makes consumer 3D printers as a new additive manufacturing platform for the personal manufacturing where consumers can make and sell their own products. To allow the consumers to design and manufacture their products, not only economic 3D printers but also supporting information systems for their design and manufacturing are essential. This study suggests an extended product data management (PDM) system that can support both the design and manufacturing of personal products with consumer 3D printing services. This extended PDM system helps consumer designers use advanced PDM technologies for their design and connected 3D printing services with Internet of Things (IoT) technology for realization of their products. As a result, the proposed system supports the consumer designers a seamless integrated product development and manufacturing environment supported by PDM and consumer 3D printing services.

In order to present the scientific information of organic emissions from consumer products available, the current study examined the emissions composition for three different types of consumer products being used in Korea in an environmental chamber: air freshener (AF), mosquito repellents (MSQR), and moth repellents (MTHR). Emission rates were evaluated by determining emission rates of the target compound from the selected products using an electropolished stainless steel (SS) test chamber $(40{\times}25{\times}50cm^3)$. A time-dependent empirical relationship developed in this study agreed well with the test results. As same with the emission concentrations, MSQR exhibited the highest emission rate for all target compounds except for limonene and naphthalene. MTHR ($9,200\;{\mu}g\;h^{-1}$) showed the highest emission rate of naphthalene followed by MSQR ($8,300\;{\mu}g\;h^{-1}$). Moreover, the concentrations in residential bedroom conditions for target compounds emitted from three types of consumer products were estimated. This estimation suggests that the uses of consumer products can elevate indoor levels of target compounds. In particular, any types of the consumer products may increase the indoor level of m, p-xylene.

Green economy, also known as sustainable economy, is a current development trend in which consumers prefer products that are wholly or partly derived from materials of biological origin since they have become more concerned about their health and the environment in which they live. This study aims to examine consumer behavior toward bio-based products with three key goals in mind. First, it helps to understand the perception of consumers toward Bio-based products. Second, it properly helps consumers be aware of products derived from materials of biological origin so that the consumer can make purchasing decisions to protect their health and contribute to the protection of the environment. Third, the study on consumer behavior towards bio-based products will provide a more accurate view and assessment to companies looking to develop Bio-based products. Based on that, the research is carried out through surveying, collecting data from consumers, and then using the deductive approach, descriptive statistics, and quantitative method analysis. The results demonstrated that a positive relationship and a direct impact are established between the variables of Attitude and Social Norms and the Purchase Intention toward Bio-based products. Furthermore, the findings reveal that customers have positive feelings towards bio-based products in terms of trust, knowledge, and the environment.
This study examined consumer attitudes and intentions to participate in reward-based crowdfunding projects for fashion products. We focused on consumer innovation, price sensitivity, conformity, and consumer values as factors that might influence such attitudes and intentions. A survey was conducted with 228 individuals aged 18 years and older who are aware of or have had experience using crowdfunding. Respondents were asked to answer questions based on the example of actual fashion crowdfunding projects. To analyze the data, reliability tests, the generation of descriptive statistics, factor analysis, and multiple regression were performed using SPSS 25.0. The results revealed that consumer innovativeness, non-conforming tendency, and emotional, quality, social, and ethnical consumer values had a significant influence on attitudes, which in turn affected intentions to participate in crowdfunding. Consumer innovativeness, price sensitivity, emotional value, and social value also had a direct influence on intentions to participate. In addition to its academic contribution, this study has important marketing implications for project initiators striving to identify and understand consumers who are willing to participate in reward-based crowdfunding for fashion products.
Purpose - The current analysis has been done in order to verify the difference between consumer attitudes on the distributor's PB products in terms of practical shopping value and attitudes about the product according to its perceived quality. Research design, data, and methodology - The target respondents of this study were those who have bought PB products at large-scale discount stores within the past six months. We asked homemakers, office workers, and students who live in Seoul or Daejon to respond to a questionnaire by filling out self-evaluations, and collected the completed questionnaires. To test the hypothesis, a t-test was carried out by group for 25 percent of the high and low rankings, including a quarter of the total respondents, to verify attitudes toward products and brands, purchase satisfaction, and re-purchase intention according to the practical shopping value and recognized quality of PB products. A variance analysis was conducted to see if there were differences among groups in terms of practical shopping value and perceived quality. Scheffe's back testing was used to identify differences between groups. Results - The result of the investigation of consumer attitudes according to practical shopping value is as follows. First, it was verified that consumer attitudes about PB products increase as practical shopping value increases. Second, there was no significant. Third, it was verified that repurchase intentions for PB products get higher as the practical shopping value of the consumer increases. The following is the result of the investigation of consumer attitudes according to the perceived quality of PB products. First, it was verified that the product attitude improves as the perceived quality of PB products increases. Second, the research confirmed that the brand attitude improves as the perceived quality of PB products increases. Third, consumer satisfaction is higher when the perceived quality of PB products is high. Fourth, this study verified that repurchase intentions for PB products are higher as the perceived quality of the product increases. Finally, the results of identifying differences between groups for perceived quality and shopping value are as follows. It was identified that there were differences in shopping value according to the characteristics of the groups. However, perceived quality does not change according to the characteristics of groups. Conclusions - These results have practical implications for the marketing strategy of PB products in order to satisfy consumer demands and provide a differentiated service by the distributor. In addition, it is suggested that a communication strategy may be necessary to increase brand loyalty and ensure the continual growth and value creation of PB products as symbolic products for distributors.
