This paper aims to consider an overall benefit-duration optimization (OBDO) problem for the sake of maximizing owner's economic benefits, whilst considering influences of schedule compression incurred opportunity income on the profitability of a large-scale construction project. Unlike previous schedule optimization models and techniques that have focused on project duration or cost minimization, with greater weight on contractors' interests, OBDO facilitates owner's economic benefits through overall benefit-duration optimization. In this paper, the objective function of OBDO model is formulated. An example is illustrated to prove the feasibility and practicability of the overall benefit-duration optimization problem. The significance of employing OBDO model and future research work are also described.

Nowadays, flooding wast is serious problem to mankind and the endeavour for solving waste problem is performed in connection with environmental problem and natural resource problem. In Korea, there are a lot of movements related to reduction of waste, too. As the solution of these problems, recycling is recommanded and many kinds of recycling technique are devised. In America, military has been playing an important role in recycling area for a long time. This paper is the survey of several articles and working papers about America military's recycling research. We investigated the recycling of water, construction and demolition wastes etc. These research results are very important in real field of military. It is considered our military has to prepare this recycling problem and now it's the right time. All of these can be adapted to our military, commercial companies and civilians through some modification. We suggest that our military should cope with recycling problem more deliberately.

Construction safety education plays role to provide necessary skills to workers for working safely. It is also important safety measure be used efficiently without any restriction to construction accident prevention. On this study, to develop effective education contents, we analyzed propriety of education contents used in construction sites, drew problem, and suggested the improvement direction.

Generally, as corrosive protection processing of a steel structure, zinc galvanizing and heavy duty coating paint are applied. However, zinc galvanizing has the difficulty of restriction of a size, or on-site construction. Moreover, heavy duty coating paint has a problem with many administrative and maintenance expenses with short problem of adhesion, corrosion generating of a damage portion, and maintenance management cycle. In this study, a salt water spray test, CASS test, and the electrochemistry examination were carried out for the thermal metal spray method of construction for corrosive protection performance evaluation. Moreover, the corrosive protection life of a thermal metal spray method of construction was quantitatively calculated on the basis of this experiment. in consideration of LCC, the economical efficiency of a general corrosive protection method of construction and a thermal metal corrosive protection method of construction was compared. Consequently, although initial construction expense was estimated 16 to $30\%$ high, as for a thermal metal spray method of construction, it turns out that the administrative and maintenance expenses for 100 years became cheap 9.3 to 13 or more times.

최근 대규모 구조물 건설공사가 많이 진행되고 있으며 이에 따른 크고 작은 피해가 유발된다. 설계에서 예측한 지반의 거동과 실제 굴착할 때 지반의 거동과의 차이가 발생되면 피해가 발생되는 경우가 많다. 이러한 문제점을 해결하기 위하여 본 연구에서는 건설공사 현장에서 계측기를 설치하여 수집되는 정보를 분석함으로써 구조물과 지반의 거동을 예측하고 위험요소를 제거할 수 있음을 확인하고, 또한 향후 유사공법을 적용하여 시공할 때 지반 공학적인 측면에서 계측된 정보를 제공하고자 하였다.

Since 1960s, advanced constructions have introduced warranty contract which is warranted to quality and performance for need of owner in determined term to ensure the quality of construction. However, the interior of a country encounter another problem result from Defects Liability what indefiniteness of defects standard, excess responsibility period, social recognition of be identical fraudulent work and defects, and contract with ascendancy of owners. etc, so builders concerned more excess defects liability than the quality of construction. The purpose of this study is to analysis of warranty contract in order to solve the problem such as stated above.

Leakage problems in underground spaces of domestic apartments is becoming more serious and legal disputes related to leakage problem have become more commonplace. In this regard, leakage problem is not only a problem in construction, but is also a concern from a societal aspect. In this paper, we propose the details of a below-grade waterproofing design and specification standards of specific areas and sections of residential apartment buildings, and propose that a detailed examination of positive-side waterproofing methods is required.

The latest domestic construction sector is receiving economic damage because of defect litigation. The Concrete Crack among them has the largest component in expense of apartment house defect. Also, contradictory suggestion of appraiser is problem. To improve these problem, need objective plan that people concerned can recognize about decision sequence. Therefore, in this study, compared general defect investigation and defect decision of appraiser taking advantage of Data Dictionary analysis method. Also, deduced current problem and amelioration plan.

It is required to study systematical on the concrete quality management to extend structure life because rebuilding effect is reducing under present condition of large sized and high stories structure. Concrete, which shows its intensity by hydrating action and a big change in quality according to hot weather and temperature, produces a lot of qualify problem under hot and cold weather Because of each specification and construction plan which does not have basic standard on site, concrete's quality is irregular and makes some defect. As a result, Daegu is turned out to be the longest area after investigating application period and days focused on 8 cities weather information about relationship between hot weather circumstance and construction environment. Therefore, we first surveyed the concrete material in the region and found out the problem of quality nanagement. Then figure out the way of solution. Moreover, we integrated concrete material quality management, which is applied differently to each site, to have equal quality and to reduce defect from construction site. And then, based on various test of construction condition and analysis of quality management item, we suggest effective concrete quality management to make concrete material construction standard guide and plan under hot weather.

In this paper, to prevent overspending of the CM Fee, Agent CM for the normal work-oriented, Willing to separate order model being used in the construction, using a multi-national grouping Go to offer the right company, a number of groups according to the appropriate CM Fee setting is aimed to suggest a reasonable basis. This paper does not use the domestic point of order characteristic of the model, and using a different theory of affinity grouping projection method is presented. The main disadvantage of the domestic order model because it is a contractual relationship, the contractual relationship as unified as possible by the most reasonable way of construction and construction capabilities and commercialization agreement upon the ability of companies also expect to be very helpful. The grouping by using the multi-order construction of the separation problem of the increase and thus the management object construction type administration was to solve the problem.
