비달 사순(Vidal Sassoon) 헤어디자인의 조형적(造形的) 특성(特性) 연구(硏究) (A Study on the Formative Characteristics of the Vidal Sassoon's Hair Design)

  • The purpose of this study is to review the innovation of Vidal Sassoon's hair design. His hair styling was created in 1950-60, and it was related to the Zeitgeist, 'Convulsion'. It was aesthetic reform that eliminated artificially of headdress through new design concept and high technique. It was social renovation that changed women's life through freedom, ease and mobility of hair form. Also, it was scientific innovation that emphasized improvement of hair care. Therefore this researcher set a high value on his contribution in beauty industry, and studied the formative characteristics of his hair styling. The results are as follows: The formative characteristics are classified into the simplicity of form, the mobility of construction, and the variety of color and texture. 1. The simplicity of form showed through geometric form. Vidal Sassoon's hair design had the overthrow traditional concept of femininity and beauty; in addition, it conferred freedom on not only hair itself but also women's action. 2. The naturalism and mobility of construction was found in layered and softly swinging hair made up by skillful cutting technique. It was developed by studying on the dynamism of sports in 1984 LA Olympic games. 3. The variety of color and texture showed conspicuously its visual evidence because of the simplicity of form. Especially, he borrowed factors of fine art, that is to say, form, space, texture, line, color and light, and created a performance art. His work is analyzed into an art, and he is one of the best artists.

건축물 균열 모니터링을 위한 역학변색센서 활용 기법에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Application Method of Mechanochromic Sensor for Crack Monitoring in Buildings)

  • 본 연구에서는 역학변색센서를 활용한 건축물의 균열 모니터링 기술 개발에 관한 실험적 연구를 수행하였다. 콘크리트 시험체에 유도된 균열에 역학변색센서를 부착한 후 균열의 진행에 따른 변색 이미지를 촬영하였다. 그리고 센서의 변색 이미지 분석 결과와 균열 폭과의 관계식으로부터 균열 폭 도출 식을 제안하였다. 또한, 제안된 균열 폭 모니터링 기법의 검증을 통하여 건축물 균열 모니터링을 위한 역학변색센서의 활용 가능성을 확인하였다.

카본 아미노 실리카 블랙 기반 고성능 감수제가 블랙 컬러 콘크리트의 공학적 특성 및 발색도에 미치는 영향 (Effect of Carbon Amino Silica Black Contained Superplasticizer on the Engineering Properties and Chromaticity of Black Color Concrete)

  • 본 연구에서는 CASB-SP가 블랙 콘크리트의 기초적 물성 및 발색도에 미치는 영향을 실험적으로 고찰하고자 하였다. 실험변수로서 CASB-SP와 기존 Carbon black의 두 착색제 종류에 따라 치환율을 변화시키고 이후 백화방지를 위해 4수준의 발색제를 변수로 설정하였다. 연구결과에 따르면, 전반적으로 CASB-SP 혼입율이 증가할수록 슬럼프 및 공기량이 증가하는 경향으로 나타났고, 응결시간은 0.75% 이상 사용시 기존 Plain에 비해서 현저히 지연되는 것으로 나타났으며 블리딩은 CASB-SP 혼입율이 증가 할수록 감소되었다. 압축강도는 CASB-SP 혼입율이 증가할수록 압축강도가 증가하였고, 발색도는 CASB-SP 혼입율이 증가할수록 검정색 발현이 선명해지는 것으로 나타났고, 발색제의 사용에 따라 백화가 방지되어 안정적인 색상유지가 가능해졌다. 이상을 종합하면, 블랙 콘크리트에 CASB-SP를 사용할 경우 Carbon Black에 비해 콘크리트의 품질향상 차원에서 유리한 것으로 나타났고, CASB-SP 혼입율은 콘크리트의 품질을 고려하여 0.5% 혼입하는 것이 가장 양호한 것으로 분석된다.

  • 최근에는 생활수준 향상으로 인간친화적인 공간창조 등 의장적인 측면에서 다양한 요구가 나타나고 있다. 본 연구에서는 무주태권도원의 2개의 블랙콘크리트 교량에 기존연구에서 얻어진 카본아미노실리카블랙 고성능 감수제(CASB-SP)를 적용하기 위한 Mock up test와 현장적용사항에 대하여 보고하고자 하였다. Mock up test 결과 일반적인 품질 항목은 양호하게 나타났고, 백화방지와 관련한 발수제 도포는 에폭시계가 가장 양호한 것으로 나타나 현장적용에 활용하였다. 현장적용 결과 역시 기초적 특성은 모두 양호 하였고, 검정색 색상구현도 양호하였는데, 기존의 카본블랙 분말 색소를 이용하는 경우보다 시공성, 품질 모두 양호하면서 30 % 정도의 저렴한 경제성도 확인할 수 있었다.

  • 무기계 안료를 사용하여 제조한 칼라콘크리트가 중소형 건축물을 중심으로 점차 확대되는 경향이 있다. 그러나 콘크리트용 안료와 칼라 콘크리트에 관한 국내 규정이 전무하여 콘크리트 물성을 고려하지 않고 페인트나 플라스틱용 안료를 콘크리트에 사용하거나 안료에 따른 콘크리트의 공학적 특성 검토 없이 현장에 적용되고 있어 구조물의 미적요인의 저하 및 안전성 등 여러 문제들이 간과되고 있는 실정이다. 이러한 문제점들을 해결하기 위하여 일부 현장에서는 ASTM이나 ACI 규정을 현장에 적용하고 있지만 국내 실정에 맞지 않는 부분들이 존재함에 따라 그마저도 어려움이 따르고 있다. 본 연구에서는 안료의 종류 및 첨가율이 콘크리트의 기초적 물성에 미치는 영향을 검토함으로써 향후 칼라노출 콘크리트의 제조 및 시공 지침의 기초 자료로 활용하고자 한다.

Use of Recycled Brick Masonry Aggregate (RBMA) and Recycled Brick Masonry Aggregate Concrete (RBMAC) in Sustainable Construction

  • Use of recycled aggregates in portland cement concrete construction can offer benefits associated with both economy and sustainability. Testing performed to date indicates that RBMA can be used as a 100% replacement for conventional coarse aggregate in concrete that exhibits acceptable mechanical properties for use in structural and pavement elements, including satisfactory performance in some durability tests. RBMAC is currently not used in any type of construction in the United States. However, use of RBMAC could become a viable construction strategy as sustainable building practices become the norm. Rating systems such as LEED offer points for reuse of building materials (particularly on-site) and use of recycled materials. If renovations at an existing facility call for the demolition of existing brick masonry constructions, the rubble could be included as RBMA in new concrete pavement, sidewalks, or curb and gutter. Other potential uses for RBMAC could include those in the precast concrete industry, particularly in architectural precast concrete applications. In addition to providing acceptable strength and economy, the color of RBMA could be an attractive component of architectural precast concrete panels or other façade components. This paper explores the feasibility of use of RBMAC in several types of sustainable construction initiatives, based upon the findings of previous work with RBMAC produced from construction and demolition waste from a case study site. Guidance for obtaining and using RBMA is presented, along with a summary of material properties of RBMAC that will be useful to construction professionals.

  • Accurate fire diagnoses are needed to properly repair and strengthen buildings affected by fire. The current diagnosis method of fire takes time and is ineffective. In previous research, Melting point temperature of each sequence to grasp easily the temperature of the concrete up to 200 ~ 600 ℃ was to estimate the temperature by utilizing a different sequence representing material.But In the form of conventional hydrothermal temperature prediction simple measuring device, it is difficult in the future buried in application to the construction site, there is a problem of damage when concrete pouring, and only the extension of life measured by the zinc has a problem does not distinguish between 400 ℃ and 500 ℃. Therefore this study is conducted by utilizing a titanium metal changes the color depending on the temperature to check for the applicability of the simple apparatus for measuring the temperature prediction sequence.

Vision-Based Identification of Personal Protective Equipment Wearing

  • Construction is one of the most dangerous job sectors, which reports tens of thousands of time-loss injuries and deaths every year. These disasters incur delays and additional costs to the projects. The safety management needs to be on the top primary tasks throughout the construction to avoid fatal accidents and to foster safe working environments. One of the safety regulations that are frequently violated is the wearing of personal protection equipment (PPE). In order to facilitate monitoring of the compliance of the PPE wearing regulations, this paper proposes a vision based method that automatically identifies whether workers wear hard hats and safety vests. The method involves three modules - human body detection, identification of safety vest wearing, and hard hat detection. First, human bodies are detected in the video frames captured by real-time on-site construction cameras. The detected human bodies are classified into with/without wearing safety vests based on the color features of their upper parts. Finally, hard hats are detected on the nearby regions of the detected human bodies and the locations of the detected hard hats and human bodies are correlated to reveal their corresponding matches. In this way, the proposed method provides any appearance of the workers without wearing hard hats or safety vests. The method has been tested on onsite videos and the results signify its potential to facilitate site safety monitoring.
