Development of the Noise Prediction Program to apply in Construction Site (현장 적용성을 향상시킨 건설현장 소음예측프로그램 개발)

  • Nowadays, the construction sites are growing in city every year, so complaints for construction noise have increased more and more. To analyze this noise scientifically, construction noise prediction program was developed in 1998 and 2005 but it is too difficult to apply program in field because there is few soundproof facilities and it can't understand the coordinate system and so on. The aim of this study is to develop noise prediction program to apply in construction sites. For this, the problems of existing program was analyzed and survey was performed to get requestion of field overseer and upgraded program. To get reliability of program, it was compared with sound measurement value in field. As a result, construction sound prediction program have various soundproof facilities data than existing program. It can also analyze multi receiver point at the same time for several construction machinery. Most of all, it is more powerful to set receiver or source in the axis of X, Y, Z. so program user can make use of it easily. An average of difference is -0.9$\sim$1.8dB.

  • A construction noise is the main reason for people's petition among the pollution. The purpose of this study is to develop the noise prediction program to see the level of the noise on the construction site more accurately. For this purpose, the database of the power level on the various equipments was made. The noise reduction by distance and the noise reduction by diffraction of barrier were mainly considered and calculated. The simple noise prediction program will provide the information about proper height and length of the potable barrier which satisfies noise criteria of the construction sites from a construction planning stage. To investigate the reliability of this program, the predicted data was compared with the measured data. An average of difference between measured data and predicted data is 1.3 dB(A) and a coefficient of correlation is about 0.95.

  • The research is an objective which prevents a construction noise by developing prediction program on utility, helps comprehension of construction noise by case study. The program developed with Visual Basic of the Excel Logic. The standard noise is a data with report of the construction machine (National Institute of Environmental Research), construction noise of sound pressure level applied the distance decrease of the point source.   • For computer aided design and construction of low noisy power plants, indoor and outdoor noise prediction program has been developed. The program utilizes the predefined data of noise sources and building materials and has the faculty to estimate the source level using the empirical formula in case of the measured data not being available. In the noise prediction, the mutual noise propagation between indoor and outdoor sites are considered. The outdoor noise source in the calculation of geometric divergence effects is modelled as the omni-directional finite line or planar source according to the source geometry and the receiving points. Outdoor noise prediction is carried out to consider the diffraction effect due to plant structures as well as the attenuation effect due to atmospheric absorption and soft ground. The results of indoor and outdoor noise prediction for a recently constructed diesel engine power plant show good agreement with the measured.

  • In general, the essential requirement for cruisers or car ferries is the reduction in noise to ensure high quality and comfort. Recently, the Ro-Ro Passengers Ferry (ROPAX) was built in Hyundai Heavy Industries. In order to minimize the noise levels, careful attention have to De paid by the special committee of experts from the initial design stage to the sea trial. Proper countermeasures, considering the characteristics of sources and receiver spaces, were applied from the noise prediction and various experiment results. Finally, this ship was successfully delivered with excellent noise properties. This paper describes the procedure of noise analysis, the countermeasures of noise control, and the measurement results of the sea trial. Onboard noise analysis had been carried out by statistical energy analysis program and outdoor noise prediction program based on ISO9614. The prediction results are in good agreements with the measurement results. The technology to minimize the noise levels for cruisers or car ferries has been established throughout the construction of this ship.

  • In this paper, we introduce prediction program of HVAC system, HJNOVAC Version 2.0. The developed program adopts both the authentic empirical method suggested by NEBB and acoustic power balancing method. The program provides intuitive pre- and post- processor using modern GUI function to help efficient modeling and evaluation of cabin and HVAC component noises. To verify the accuracy and convenience of the program, we carry out noise prediction of HVAC system for 8,100 TEU Container Carrier and measure the noise levels of cabins during sea trial.

  • 본 연구에서는 건설 공사소음 예측 및 가설방음벽 설계를 위해 개발한 공사장 소음예측 프로그램에 대해 소개하고자 한다. 또한, 건설장비가 운영되는 동안 이격거리별 소음측정을 수행한 후 측정결과와 해석결과와의 비교검토를 통해 개발 프로그램의 타당성을 검증하고자 하며, 상용되고 있는 소음해석 전용 소프트웨어를 이용해 다양한 경우에 대한 소음해석을 수행한 후 해석결과를 개발 프로그램의 해석결과와 비교함으로서 개발 프로그램의 타당성을 검증하는 것을 본 연구의 목적으로 한다.

  • SONICS is the software developed by authors. The program provides the noise level in outdoors due to various noise source types : construction machines including blast sources, railroad vehicles and automobiles. It operates in the Windows system. Since the software is compiled by using Visual C++ 4.0, users can un the program interactively. Also SONICS uses Windows dialog-box and choice-button so that a novice user can easily implement the program for the enviromental noise planning.
