  • Improvement is required to solve problems depending on long term use of signal equipment in the existing city railroad and to raise quality of passenger services. Accordingly, for more efficient improvement, we examined the procedure of executing construction of the communication based train control system in Korean city railroads, which is globally studied. The procedure of executing construction of the system is to present a plan for construction first of ail and then to prepare a strategy for construction of the system. It is required to establish a procedure for execution in each step depending on the prepared strategy and then to establish a detailed execution plan. We studied such an execution procedure, divided the execution procedure for application of the train control system through five steps to prepare the execution procedure.

지게차 마스트 작동내구를 위한 실차 기반 무인시험장치 개발 (Development of an Unmanned Test System Based on Forklift for Mast Operation Durability)

  • In this paper, we develops an unmanned test system for the purpose of realizing an actual forklift-based test-bed for the operation durability of the forklift mast. First, two robot actuators were applied to the lever to replace lever manipulation of the operator. For detecting the height of the fork and the tilt angle of the mast, the laser displacement sensor and the inclinometer were installed to the forklift. Next, the embedded control system was used to control the robot actuator with reference to test mode. Experimental evaluation verified that developed test system was effective and practical for the viewpoint of the repeatability of the test mode.

  • In this study, the characteristics of the hydraulic servo mechanism for proportional position control of a hydraulic construction eguipment were analyzed using the developed analysis tool. The result were used in the others hydraulic system except construcdtion eguipment to improve the static performance of the system, the system parameter effects on the controllable region and the hydraulic servo mechanism variation were studied.

  • The Field robot means the machinery applied for outdoor tasks in construction, agriculture and undersea etc. In this study, to field-robotize a hydraulic excavator that is mostly used in construction working, we have developed an automatic excavation system and an adaptive control system. A model-reference adaptive controller has been designed based on the model that is obtained through off-line system identification. It is illustrated by computer simulations that the proposed control system gives good performance in the trajectory tracking control and the adaptation to parameter variation.

  • Various automatic temperature control systems have been used widely in Korea for the conservation of heating energy and the enhancement of thermal comfort in residential buildings. But the heating control performance for automatic temperature control systems extensively vary with the design and operational conditions of the heating system, the climate condition and others. It was introduced in this study a numerical calculation program package to analyze heating control characteristics of the automatic temperature control system. This package is able to analyze the room air temperature, return water temperature, supplied heating flux and flow rate, and so on. One the other hand, the simulation results were verified by comparing with the field test results.

  • This paper addresses a method for nonlinear controller construction for a general nonlinear system with the separation of controller construction and manipulated values generation. The nonlinear system model is firstly expressed with the coefficients of state-depended representation. The nonlinear control is designed without any approximation based on the model with state-depended representation. At the stage of controller implementation for the nonlinear system, the manipulated values are calculated accurately by use of an algorithm of the numerical analysis.   • An intelligent excavator can be divided into Machine Guidance (MG), semi-automatic, and unmanned by technology. The MG technology excavator is equipped with a tilt sensor on each link of the excavator and a GPS is installed on the excavator body to inform the user of the position of the excavator bucket end. Machine control (MC) technology that assists the user's work can be divided into semi-automatic and fully automatic technology. The semi-automatic MC equipment has already been commercialized by Komatsu and Caterpillar. The MC excavator is equipped with an electro-hydraulic system, sensors and controllers to control the excavator bucket end according to the user's needs. In this study, the semi-automated excavator modified based on manual excavator, is equipped with an electro-hydraulic system, a controller system, multi-sensors and a control algorithm is developed to assist in excavation work such as leveling and grading. By applying the developed technology, it was possible to confirm productivity improvement compared to manual digging and leveling work. In the future, further research to improve the accuracy of the hydraulic precision control and collaborative work with heterogeneous construction equipment such as dump truck and automated collaboration tasks technology could be developed.

  • The attention in construction Automation is getting higher since it could be the answer to the lack of skilled labor by decrease in construction population and aging which adversely affects productivity and quality in the construction site. We are on the way to develop a construction automation system adequate for domestic circumstances in Korea; it is called RCA(Robotic-crane based Construction Automation)system. Climbing hydraulic robots system is a part of RCA system and makes Construction factory(CF) climb through the guide rail on the core wall. The safety of climbing hydraulic robots system is at issue due to the overloaded weight of CF. Preventing this issue, present study did the design verification through the structural analysis and the simulation. Mock-up test also was done to analyze the drive performance of climbing hydraulic robots system.

건설업체 자율안전관리 능력제고 방안 (Improving Self-control Safety & Management Ability of Construction Contractors)

  • This paper is resulted from the research to activate Self-control Safety Management system that adopted to improve an assessment system for Hazard Prevention Plan. And members of company, university and research institute have jointly participated in the research. First, it is investigated that introduced background and processing method with existing practical data & materials references in order to understand what domestic Self-control Safety Management system will be available for. And general construction company at site have their ability to assess Hazard Prevention Plan by mailing questionnaire to on thousand site, visits, and interviews. Also, It is investigated how much they have the assessment ability. It is selected to do a questionnaire survey for the status of self-regulatory safety assessment ability of the designated self-regulatory companies in order to produce and enhance the self-regulatory assessment ability and the necessity of Self-control Safety Management system. Finally, it is selected to do a questionnaire survey for fixing and the enhance Self-control Safety Management system of general construction contractors.
