Study of Contents Construction Analysis in Fisheries Business Administration Education: Focused on High School and College Textbook (수산경영 내용구성에 대한 비교분석: 고등학교 수산경영일반과 대학 수산경영학 전공서적을 중심으로)

  • The Fisheries business administration is not only the social sciences in the education of fisheries and marine related fields but also has been lectured and educated in both high school and college level. But there are few studies that have been conducted a comparative analysis on the contents in fisheries business administration education in the continuity and sustainability. The objectives of this study are analysis of contents construction in fisheries business administration and suggestion of systematic structure with comparing the textbook of fisheries business administration in high school and college(Gyeongsang National University and Pukyong National University). The results of study show that some structural contents similarity has been found among the fisheries business administration textbooks though some of the contents are insufficient. And there are lack of recency both data and descriptions in fisheries business administration textbooks and much of time gaps based on publication year. Based on the result of this study, the integrated framework that consist with 5 main contents categories has been suggested for education of sustainable development in fisheries business administration. But still needed to be discussed the range and level of fisheries business administration issues by stakesholders including academic community, researcher and industrial personnel.

The Empirical Analysis for Competitiveness of Small & Medium Construction Companies using Key Performance Indicators(KPI) (경영성과지표(KPI)를 이용한 중소건설기업 경쟁력 실증분석)

  • The measurement of business performance is important to secure the competitiveness of construction companies. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to analyze what is needed to increase the competitiveness of small & medium construction companies. In order to analyze efficiently, this study reconfirms the effectiveness of Key Performance Indicators(KPI) of construction companies selected from previous studies. The empirical analysis to find differences of KPI between small & medium construction companies and big construction companies is performed using the 4,286 construction company samples extracted by 'KIS-Value Data Base'. The results of the empirical analysis show that there are significant differences in characteristics of KPI between small & medium construction companies and big construction companies. Particularly, small & medium construction companies are relatively insufficient to invest for the purpose of preparation for future and long-term growth. Additionally, empirical tests reconfirm that most of the KPIs from previous survey studies are suitable as a performance indicators. The contribution of this study is to analyze empirically small & medium construction company's strong & weak points and the effectiveness of KPIs derived from previous studies.

Analysis of Factors Influencing the Construction Business Management Success (건설기업의 재무적/비재무적 요인이 경영성과에 미치는 영향분석)

  • This research outlined the factors influencing the business management success via analyzing a survey of business principles. The research process has been tested in comparison of both financial factors, which come out of objective data and non-financial factors so relevantly prioritized by combining these factors. In order to specify the factors, a check-list and analyzed essential features of category have been done with interviews and surveys. As consequently proceeding, the authors could deduce that non-financial but analytic factors such as business do-able, technician workability, compensation and benefits etc. play major roles in construction sector. The outcomes consider a construction business as fundamental human labor job as opposed to a manufacture business. On reasoning necessarily more objective research works to be done as developing this research's outcome, it is meaningful in suggesting the pivotal factors influencing the construction business management. Therefore, this research is expected to guide the direction to induce the improvement of business management to be done by further exemplary researches.

  • When constructing buildings, planning, design, construction, using & maintenance as building life cycle. Due to industrialization in 1960s and development of new town from the late 1980s to the early 1990s, Korean housing supply rate reaches almost 100%. After construction companies confronted limit of new building construction, they recognized remodeling as a part of construction, and organized remodeling team or FM team to improve sustainable industrial area. However, since companies in Korea are lack of experience and research activities for remodeling, it makes obstacle to improvement of remodeling business. So the objective of this study is to help carry out remodeling business by suggesting the counterplan through investigation of a risk of apartment remodeling business.

  • This study presents limitations for the roles and the responsibilities of the related business entities because it is very important that the controversy is minimized during a progressive period of the project. In this study, we analyze several Ubiquitous city projects undertaken by the local governments and raised some issues. We construct the step-by-step procedures for the Ubiquitous city construction business management from the business plan to management after completion of the Ubiquitous city construction and establish the clear-cut duty ranges for the related business entities at each step.
