건설산업의 새로운 성장동력, 유비쿼터스 건설 분야 전망 (The Prospect of Ubiquitous Construction, A New Driving Force for Construction Industry)

  • 유비쿼터스 (Ubiquitous)는 정보혁명에 뒤이은 제 4의 혁명으로, 우리 사회를 변혁시키는 또 하나의 물결로 많은 전문가들이 전망하고 있다. 유비쿼터스 첨단융합 건설은 우리나라 건설 산업이 새로운 부가가치를 창출할 수 있는 블루오션 영역으로서 적극적인 참여와 도전이 요구되는 영역이다. 많은 전문가들이 2008년을 유비쿼터스 사회에 진입하며, 2015년에는 성숙의 시대가 될 것으로 전망하고 있다. 정보통신 분야의 강국인 우리나라는 신도시 건설과 결합된 U-City 100개 수출은 우리나라의 새로운 성장동력이 될 수 있을 것이다.

  • 국내 건설산업이 새로운 도약을 이루기 위해서는 해외 시장에서의 경쟁력 확보와 새로운 시장의 창출이 필요하다. 국제적인 기술경쟁력을 가진 건설 분야와 IT 분야의 융합기술 개발을 통한 국제 경쟁력 확보와 새로운 시장창출은 성공가능성이 매우 높게 평가된다. 그렇지만, 구체적인 실현에 있어서 기술적 장벽뿐만 아니라, 융합개발의 명확한 모델이 정립되어 있지 않기 때문에, 건설 산업 관점에서 융합기술의 가능영역과 적절한 개발모델의 제시가 요구되고 있다. 건설 분야의 IT 융합기술은 생산성 향상과 노동력 절감 및 유지관리 구조물의 생애주기 비용절감을 통한 경쟁력 강화 분야와 u-city와 같은 수요창출형 신상품의 개발로 구분될 수 있다. 특히, IT 융합기술 개발 단계에서 건설사 관점에서 철저한 수요중심의 접근과 빠른 IT 기술발전에 대응하는 전략이 요구되며, 융합개발의 주도그룹을 선두로 선순환적인 순환모델을 적용하는 전략이 효과적일 것이다.

신개념 마이크로파일 개발 및 현장시험시공 (Development of New Micropiling Technique and Field Installation)

  • Recently, micropiling techniques are increasingly applied in foundation rehabilitation/underpinning and seismic retrofitting projects where working space provides the limited access for conventional piling methods. Micropiling techniques provide environmental-friendly methods for minimizing disturbance to adjacent structures, ground, and the environment. Its installation is possible in restrictive area and general ground conditions. The cardinal features that the installation procedures cause minimal vibration and noise and require very low ceiling height make the micropiling methods to be commonly used for underpin existing structures. In the design point of view, the current practice obligates the bearing capacity of micropile to be obtained from skin friction of only rock-socketing area, in which it implies the frictional resistance of upper soil layer is ignored in the design process. In this paper, a new micropiling method and its verification studies via field installation are presented. The new method provides a specific way to grout bore-hole to increase frictional resistance between surrounding soil and pile-structure and it allows to consider the skin friction of micropiles for upper soil layer during design process.

Applying Unit Modular In-Fill Construction Method for High-Rise Buildings

  • A modular construction method includes factory-prefabricated room-sized volumetric units. Although low-rise buildings have been constructed worldwide using this method for more than 30 years, it is a relatively new technology in high-rise construction. There are three basic methods of constructing high-rise buildings using modular construction: the core method, the core-and-podium combination method, and the modular in-fill method. While the first two have been used in the USA and in several European countries, the third method, introduced in 2011 by an international cruise ship development firm, is a rather new approach for which there are few case histories. Therefore, its applicability and construction feasibility should be verified. As a pilot study to test the applicability of the modular in-fill method, a 12-story residential building was built in Korea. This paper describes a case study of the pilot project. The advantages and disadvantages of the method and its applicability in terms of cost effectiveness and construction schedule management were evaluated.

  • Purpose: In this paper, based on the design drawings of Naju Agricultural Technology Learning Center by focusing on features of New-Hanok applied technology in the design and construction process of New-Hanok Type Public buildings by looking at the characteristics of the whole building is planned to be presented in the future development direction and value of public architecture applied to public buildings. Method: we first review the Phase 1 study results of technology development and application technology to look at the type and characteristics of the technologies applied in Naju Hanok Experience Agriculture Learning Center. As construction designs through the consultation suggestions reflect changes were seven times. By analyzing the changes in the basic design and conduct design in the process were organized for the new technologies applied and whether the application of existing technology hanok. Result: (1) Complements the shortcomings of technology and R & D to offer an alternative to the reinforcement was omitted modify the construction method or irrational process. (2) Implementation of a technique aiming to apply new-hanok workability and economic efficiency is based on a combination of the modern construction techniques and materials. (3) The use of modern materials to the extent that can assist in the purpose and function of the building are to be accommodated. (4) There is sufficient historical study and design plan for establishing identity is necessary in order to reflect the history and tradition of new-hanok public buildings.

타워팰리스 III 현장의 첨단 시공 및 엔지니어링 기술 적용사례 (Applied cases of advanced construction & engineering technology at Tower Palace III Project)

  • 타워팰리스 III 현장은 현존하는 국내 건축물로는 가장 높은 초고층 주상복합건물이다. 초고층 현장에는 일반현장과는 다른 시공기술 및 엔지니어링 기술의 적용이 요구되는 바, 타워팰리스 III 현장은 지금까지 축적된 기술을 바탕으로 보다 발전된 시공기술과 엔지니어링 기술, 그리고 공정관리기법을 통하여 마감공사 포함 충 당 13.4일이라는 공사 속도를 달성하였다. 이와 같은 공사를 성공적으로 수행하기 위하여 적용된 첨단 시공기술로 1) 골조공사 및 외벽공사의 3-Day Cycle을 달성하기 위한 여러 가지 공법, 2) 초고층 주거건물의 마감공사 공정관리를 위한 Tact 공정관리 시스템, 3) 현장관리 시스템으로 물류관리 및 정보공유 시스템 등이 적용되었다. 또한 엔지니어링 요소기술로 1) 고유동 무다짐 콘크리트와 국내 최초의 압축강도 $800kgf/cm^{2}$의 초고강도 콘크리트 등의 New Material, 2) 냉각수 순환형 파이프쿨링 시스템 등의 New Method, 3) Smart Fan Control 주방환기 시스템을 포함한 Mechanical System 4) False Car System을 포함한 Electrical System 등이 있다.

  • Underground structure construction in the downtown is very difficult despite the development of construction technology. We have been a lot of research in order to solve the problem, it was a remarkable achievement. But there are still many difficulties. This study is to analyze the construction technology to demolish the existing underground structures and to build new building applied topdown method at the same time. This technology was effective to suppress interference between the exsisting structure and new building. Therefore, this technology is expected to be able to be used in similar cases in the future.

  • Changes of construction industry entails needs of new construction technologies. In order to address the needs and new challenges, innovative interdisciplinary research programs are considered to be a good solution. To identify such research programs, technology-push and market needs investigations are conducted. Through analysis of international journals and patent maps, technology fusion-based research program are developed. This paper suggest the strategy for technology fusion-based construction process innovation.

  • Development and practical emerging construction technologies has been studied as one of key solution for overcoming these barriers. Many literatures indicated that effective performance evaluation methodologies are demanding for efficient applications of new technologies. This paper presents a performance evaluation methodology using construction simulation technique and introduces studies of two cases where the steel staircase system, as an new technologies was applied and where the conventional method of staircase concrete works. Productivity was measured and calculated by site observation and construction simulations. This results show the quantified influence of new technology to site personnels and assist them to make various decisions for using or not using the technology depending on their own situations.

  • Recently laws have been enacted to build and promote the use of smart grid. There are also increasing demands for the compliance with international trade agreements and the related international standards. Due to these rapid changes in electric power industry and the market expansion, importances of new technologies and processes have been being increased. To reflect these international trends, the government have carried out the designation of new technology for electric power industry to promote domestic industries and national competitiveness by inspiring technology developments in individual or private industry sectors. In this paper analysis of the current status of the designation of the new technology of electric power has been presented including its problem and effect on the related industries. The analysis is expected to be utilized to enhance sound development and to vitalize the electrical new technology regulation.
