PS 강봉으로 일체화된 강합성 라멘교의 개발을 위한 실험연구 (Experimental Study for Development of the Steel-Concrete Composite Rigid-Frame Bridge Integrated with PS Bar)

  • In recent years, various research and developments to introduce composite bridges of new concept have been performed. The types of integral bridge and portal rigid frame bridge are having advantages in bridge maintenance and structural efficiency by eliminating expansion joints and bridge supports. However, the detail of typical girder-abutment connection has problems such as complexity of construction and increase of the construction cost. A new type of bridge, called prestress integral composite girder(PIC girder) bridge, is proposed in this study, which decreases the cost of construction and improves the efficiency of construction by simplifying the detail of construction for girder-abutment connection. PIC girder bridge has the connection detail in which the steel girder and the abutment are integrated by using the PS bar installed in the connection. In this study, finite element analysis and mock-up load test are conducted to evaluate the propriety of design, the effective of fabrication and structural safety for PIC girder bridge. The adequacy of the PIC giredr bridge is verified by the results of static/dynamic load test and finite element analyses.

Experimental and analytical performance evaluation of steel beam to concrete-encased composite column with unsymmetrical steel section joints

  • The seismic performance of steel beam to concrete-encased composite column with unsymmetrical steel section joints is investigated and reported within this paper. Experimental and analytical evaluation were conducted on a total of 8 specimens with T-shaped and L-shaped steel section under lateral cyclic loading and axial compression. The test parameters included concrete strength, stirrup ratio and axial compression ratio. The response of the specimens was presented in terms of their hysterisis loop behavior, stress distribution, joint shear strength, and performance degradation. The experiment indicated good structural behavior and good seismic performance. In addition, a three-dimensional nonlinear finite-element analysis simulating was conducted to simulate their seismic behaviors. The finite-element analysis incorporated both bond-slip relationship and crack interface interaction between steel and concrete. The results were also compared with the test data, and the analytical prediction of joint shear strength was satisfactory for both joints with T-shaped and L-shaped steel section columns. The steel beam to concrete-encased composite column with unsymmetrical steel section joints can develop stable hysteretic response and large energy absorption capacity by providing enough stirrups and decreased spacing of transverse ties in column.

  • 최근, 유비쿼터스 컴퓨팅은 새로운 지식정보국가 건설과 자국의 정보 산업 경쟁력 강화를 위한 핵심 패러다임이라는 인식 하에 미국, 유럽, 일본의 정부 및 기업, 연구소들이 관련 기술에 대한 개발에 총력을 다하고 있다. 우리나라의 경우도 정부의 차세대 성장동력 산업의 주요 부분으로 유비쿼터스 기술을 제시하고 있으며, 국내 정부기관, 기업 또한 유비쿼터스 조기실현을 위한 노력을 경주하고 있는 실정이다. 따라서, 본 논문은 차세대 첨단 정보통신 기술로 부각되고 있는 유비쿼터스 환경을 건설분야에 효율적으로 적용하기 위한 기반 연구로써, 유비쿼터스환경하의 건설 프로세스의 변화양상과 단계별 정보 서비스 구현을 위한 필요한 요소기술들에 대하여 논하고자 한다.

Unified prediction models for mechanical properties and stress-strain relationship of dune sand concrete

  • Dune sand (DS) has been widely used as a partial replacement for regular sand in concrete construction. Therefore, investigating its mechanical properties is critical for the analysis and design of structural elements using DS as a construction material. This paper presents a comprehensive investigation of the mechanical properties of DS concrete, considering different replacement ratios and strength grades. Regression analysis is utilized to develop strength prediction models for different mechanical properties of DS concrete. The proposed models exhibit high calculation accuracy, with R2 values of 0.996, 0.991, 0.982, and 0.989 for cube compressive strength, axial compressive strength, splitting tensile strength, and elastic modulus, respectively, and an error within ±20%. Furthermore, a stress-strain relationship specific to DS concrete is established, showing good agreement with experimental results. Additionally, nonlinear finite element analysis is performed on concrete-filled steel tube columns incorporating DS concrete, utilizing the established stress-strain relationship. The analytical and experimental results exhibit good agreement, confirming the validity of the proposed stress-strain relationship for DS concrete. Therefore, the findings presented in this paper provide valuable references for the design and analysis of structures utilizing DS concrete as a construction material.

  • Construction project is necessary element for human life to upgrade the quality and convenience. However, due to its contradictory nature to the environment preservation, environmental pollution and damage, deterioration of natural scenery, noise/vibration, water quality pollution, etc. caused in the process of construction greatly affect the environment. For the building or construction project, its possible impact on environment during construction work and after completion must be predicted at its design phase, which will result in the completion of the architecture convenient for human being with its environmental pollution reduced to minimum level. In this study, the checklist of environmental factors was suggested, which should be taken into account at its design phase in conducting the construction work. Proposed checklist was linked with the developed web-based system for the convenience of users like designer and construction manager, etc. It is expected that the checklist suggested by this study will help the designer and construction manager to continue the steady development from the environmental viewpoint during the design phase.

무응력길이법을 이용한 사장교의 시공단계 해석 (Construction Stage Analysis of Cable-Stayed Bridges Using the Unstrained Element Length Method)

  • 초기평형상태를 만족하는 간략해석법(Jung et al., 2015)의 무응력길이를 이용하여 사장교의 임의 시공단계를 직접적으로 모사할 수 있는 무응력길이 기반의 시공단계 해석법을 제시하고, 이 방법의 효용성과 정확성을 보이고자 한다. MIDAS해석 시 unknown load factor기능을 이용한 초기형상해석과 lack of fit force기능을 이용한 순방향해석을 실시하는데 반하여 ULM (unstrained length method)해석법은 무응력길이만 알고 있으면 중간단계를 거치지 않고 직접적으로 특정중간단계를 해석할 수 있다. 2차원 인천대교모델을 구축하고 ULM과 MIDAS를 각각 적용하여 시공단계해석을 수행하고, 수치예제를 통하여 두 해석결과를 분석한 결과, 완공계의 주탑, 주거더의 길이 차이로 인한 오차를 제외하면 비교적 서로 일치하는 결과를 보였다. 아울러, 포장무게와 카운터웨이트를 역으로 재하하여 폐합해석을 수행하고, 결과비교를 통하여 두 해석결과의 타당성을 보였다.

  • The consultation with building energy experts working at domestic government-funded research institutes and enterprises on performance set, element technology, and policy for the realization of low-energy and the survey with construction workers on the relevance of climate change in building construction, government support policy, and methodologies for the construction of low-energy house were carried in the study. In addition the public element preference survey on the low-energy house and awareness research on the low-carbonization of building were carried and presented for the development of affordable low-energy house. There was a big difference in the recognition of building energy performance setting and setting for the construction cost to realize it between experts and ordinary citizens in the study. To fill this gap education and promotion of zero energy house and securing economic feasibility through the commercialization of element technology will be needed. The satisfaction in government's zero energy house policy was normally low. To improve this low satisfaction administrative and technical support are considered to be expanded. Common high cost of construction was the top priority to resolve the problem, and enhancing renewable energy grants, tax relief, and substantial cost support could be as detailed solutions.

  • The use of shield is increasing day by day, because it's method is advantageous tunneling method to soft and collapsible ground. In case of analyzing shield tunnel by FEM, short term behavior of ground by initial heaving and tail void closure and long terms of it because of consolidation by changes of pore pressures in clay must be considered. In this paper, the shield tunneling construction stages was analyzed from 2 dimensional elasto - viscoplastic finite element program used Mohr - Coulomb yield criterion but not considered the changes of pore pressures. The object of investigation was N - 2 Tunnel. Since the good results of analysis compared to the measured behavior of ground for heaving, tail void closure and liner installation, this results can be applied to design and construction of shield tunneling for the subways, sewage lines etc.

거푸집 부재 인식을 위한 인공지능 이미지 분할 (Artificial Intelligence Image Segmentation for Extracting Construction Formwork Elements)

  • Concrete formwork is a crucial component for any construction project. Artificial intelligence offers great potential to automate formwork design by offering various design options and under different criteria depending on the requirements. This study applied image segmentation in 2D formwork drawings to extract sheathing, strut and pipe support formwork elements. The proposed artificial intelligence model can recognize, classify, and extract formwork elements from 2D CAD drawing image and training and test results confirmed the model performed very well at formwork element recognition with average precision and recall better than 80%. Recognition systems for each formwork element can be implemented later to generate 3D BIM models.

  • Lately the Infill Modular Construction System which meets the domestic standards about the structure and fireproof performance and which is applied to the remodeling techniques is being emphasized. In order to introduce the Infill Modular Construction System to domestic market successfully, the development of insufficient element technologies and systematic analysis of process should be preceded. This research aims to establish of Standard Construction Process, as advanced research for the settlement of the Infill Modular Construction System. As advanced research for the activation of the Infill Modular Construction System, this research aims to develop Infill Unit Module's mobile device. This is expected to improve work efficiency. In addition organizing optimized Standard Construction Process by steady work analysis and improvement is being planned.
