A 33-year-old woman diagnosed as livedo reticularis came to this hospital on October 14th, 1995. She complained of cold feet, ulceration on both ankles at the first OPD visit. We have diagnosed as 'Taeumin Ban-Chang-Byoung'. And we have applied acupunctures(Auricular Acupuncture + Acupuncture) and herb durgs. Auricular acu-points are Heart, Lungs, Shenmen, Adrenal. Herb drugs are Yuldahansotang or Chengpesagantang. After 3 treatments, she felt her feet warm. After 32 treatments, ulceration has disappeared. Even though we can't say that Ban-Chang-Byoung is livedo reticularis. But we can assume that two are related on the basis of the context of 'Dongyisoosebowon'.

This case was designed to evaluate the improving effect of hepatitis on drug metabolism. Gleditsiae Spina(?甬刺) was included Taeumin' herb. but it maybe induced hepatitis on drug metabolism, if Taeumin take this herb long time. We use Taeyeumin Chungsimyeunjatang to the hepatitis on drug metabolism, and we improved it. so we report it.

1. Objectives Hyperemesis Gravidarum is one of common symptoms clinically and caused by pregnancy. This is defined as vomiting sufficiently pernicious to produce weight loss, dehydration, acid-base imbalance. In severe case, it also leads to neurologic abnormality including confusion, gate disturbance, nystagmus. We have tried researching effect of herbal medicines, Soyangin Hyungbangsabaek-san. 2. Methods To heal the Hyperemesis Gravidarum, we used Soyangin Hyungbangsabaek-san. 3. Results Hyperemesis Gravidarum of a Soyangin patient was treated with a herb-medicine, and change of her subjective symptom & general condition was managed. 4. Conclusions The constitutional treatment with herb-medicine (Soyangin Hyungbangsabaek-san) was efficacious against Hyperemesis Gravidarum. Further study on management of this disease is needed.

To study clinical characteristics of patients complained of the tremor, I analyzed a database of twenty four patients managed at the Sasang Constitutional Department in Wonkwang University Oriental Medical Hospiyal from June 1999 to October 2000. 54% of patients who had adequate follow-up were improved with herb medication, electric acupuncture, physical therapy, aromatherapy. 46% of them were not improved in spite of above mentioned treatment. None of patients was aggravated. 71 % of them have male sex and 42% in 7th decade. The distribution ratio was 46% Soyang Constitution, 42% Taeumin Constitution, 13% Soum Constitution. I diagnosed 75% of them as essential tremor or physiological tremor or neurosis. Most of them had the tremor in upper extremities. The period of history were various distribution. Herb medicines were used in the Sasang Constitutional Theory. The Sasang Constitutional Medicine has the significant effects of treating patients complained of the tremor..

Objectives The purpose of this case study is to report the improvement of hand foot and mouth disease after using Galgeunhaegi-tang Methods A Taeumin patient suffering from painful hand foot and mouth disease was treated with herb medicine Galgeunhaegi-tang, acupuncture and cupping therapy. Rhei radix et rhizoma was added or removed from herb medicine according to patient's stool condition. Severity of pain and general symptom was measured using Numerical Rating Scale(NRS), and the picture of patient's hand and foot was taken. Results & Conclusions After taking Galgeunhaegi-tang, symptoms including pain, rash, blisters, and general conditions improved as patient's stool condition improved from constipation to normal. In conclusion, this case report shows that Galgeunhaegi-tang can be effective to Taeumin hand foot and mouth disease patients.

Objects of Research This research is purposed to find Dong-mu's thought on Pharmacology, through summarizing sentences related to pharmacology proposed in the chief writings on Sasang Constitutional Medicine. 2. Methods of Research It was researched bibliologically with Dong-mu's chief medical writings such as "Dongyi Suse Bowon Sasang Chobongyun(東醫壽世保元四象草本卷)", "Dong-mu's posthumos work(東武遺藁)", "Dongyi Suse Bowon(東醫壽世保元)". 3. Results and Conclusions 1. The grouping criteria according to the constitution proposed in "Dongyi Suse Bowon Sasang Chobongyun" is 'Spreading Outside' 'Hardening Inside' 'Cooling Organ' 'Warming Inside', but the grouping of medical herbs according to the constitution is yet not accomplished, and medical herbs is comprehended on base of effectiveness as like existing oriental medicine. 2. The grouping criteria according to the constitution proposed in "Dong-mu's posthumos work"is 'Spreading Choking Raising Lowering' and 'Perfume Smell Fluid Taste', and medical herbs is comprehended on base of effectiveness as like "Chobongyun", and the example on mixing of the herb classified according to the constitution is showed. 3. The medical herbs are comprehended on the basis of how to effect on treatment of constitutional disease, and the principle that it's not to mix of the herb classified according to the constitution is proposed in "Dongyi Suse Bowon". 4. The pharmacology of Sasang Constitutional Medicine is accomplished after it is modified many ti mes through clinic experience for a long time. 5. The pharmacology of Sasang Constitutional Medicine in the early period, is to comprehend herbs on the basis of how to complement 'Spreading Gathering Raising Lowering' of 'Small-Organ(偏小之臟)' according 'Qi-Mei(氣味)' and effectiveness, but that in the late period is to comprehend herbs on the basis of how to complement or to control 'Small-Organ(偏小之臟)' and 'Large Organ(偏大之臟)'.

Method I studied the archive of prescription and medicines concerned in the Dongyi-Soose-Bowon Chopanbon with Sasang-Yihak-Chobonguen and Dongyi-Soose-Bowon Gapobon 3. Result and conclusion 1. The principle which select the Sasang-in Prescription in Dongmuyugo is Hyung-Choei-Eik-Mi(馨臭液味) and Seung-Gang-Gae- Hap(升降開闔) 2. The same Medicine in Dongyi-Soose-Bowon Chopanbon and Sasang-Yihak-Chobonguen and Dongyi-Soose-Bowon Gapobon is 27 and this medicines are the principle medicine in the Taiyin Disease 3. The same Herb-Medication in the Sasang-Yihak-Chobonguen and Dongyi-Soose-Bowon Gapobon is 4 and the concept in the Sasang-Yihak-Chobonguen is succeded to Dongyi-Soose-Bowon Gapobon 4. The same Herb-Medication in the Dongyi-Soose-Bowon Gapobon and Dongyi-Soose-Bowon Chopanbon is 7 and the Change between the Dongyi-Soose-Bowon Gapobon and Dongyi-Soose-Bowon Chopanbon is the cognition between the Pyozeung(表證) and Lizeung(裏證) in the disease 5. Objective : The purpose of this study is to report treated case about patient with diplopia caused by stroke. Methods : The improvement of diplopia was observed as he was treated with acupuncture therapy and herb medicine named Bo-gan-san(保肝散). Results : Diplopia improved and disappeared gradually with acupuncture therapy and herb medicine named Bo-gan-san(保肝散). The patient was discharged with favorable recovery. Conclusion : In traditional Korean medicine, diplopia is caused by disorder of JungKi(精氣), intrusion of PoongSa(風邪) into Neoi(腦), and hollowness of Gan(肝), Shin(腎). Treating it is by expelling PoongSa(風邪) or strengthening Gan(肝), Shin(腎). The patient was diagnosed as cerebral infarction according to Brain MRI. Diplopia was improved after acupunctural therapy and intaking Bo-gan-san(保肝散), herbal prescription selected from DongYiBoGam(東醫寶鑑).

Objectives The purpose of this study is to investigate the efficacy of Sasang constitutional herb medicine for the treatment in postmenopausal women having various complaints. Methods From December 2016 to July 2017, four cases of women having climacteric complaints were extracted. Results Their main symptoms were hot flush, insomnia, sweating, cold sensation, and excitation. Their Sasang constitutional types were 2 Soyangin and 2 Taeeumin. Main symptomology of Soyangin was Chest-heat congested symptomology and that of Taeeumin was Esophagus-cold symptomology or Esophagus-cold Lung-dry Symptomology. Conclusions Their symptomolgies of Soyangin and Taeeumin lied in the Interior disease rather than Exterior disease, in the Advanced disease rather than Mild disease. It could show that Sasang constitutional medicine and management is possible to be indicated in climacteric disorders.

1. Objectives In the western Medicine, UTI generally bring on fever, and treated by antibotics. In the traditional way of korean Medicine, our predecessors used the herb for the febrile disease that has the property of coldness. However, Lee Je-ma tried to make the Yang ascend with the herb, considering thar the febrile illness in Soeumin is made by the Exterior Heat not ascending. In the aspect of the Sasang Consititutional Medicine(SCM), Hwanggigyeji-tang(황지계지탕(黃芷桂技場)) & Palmoolgunja-tang (팔물군자탕(八物君子湯)) belongs to the kind of the warm medication. This study is reported to evaluate rhe effected of Hwanggigyeji-tang(황지계지탕(黃芷桂技場)), Palmulgoonja tang(팔물군자탕(八物君子湯)) to the febrile patient. 2. methods To heal the febrile patient who was diagnosed as UTI & Soeumin exterior disease, we used soeumin Hwanggigyeji-tang(황지계지탕(黃芷桂技場)), Palmulgoonja tang(팔물군자탕(八物君子湯)). 3. Results This parient's main symptoms are fever, sweating impotently feeling, anorexia. So we treated the patient with Hwanggigyeji-tang(황지계지탕(黃芷桂技場)), (팔물군자탕(八物君子湯)) in ${\ulcorner}$Dongyi Suse Bowon(동의수세보원(東醫壽世保元))${\lrcorner}$ and improved the patient?s symptoms. 4. Conclusions We suggest that Soeumin Hwanggigyeji-tang(황지계지탕(黃芷桂技場)), (팔물군자탕(八物君子湯)) are effective significantly to the patient with febrile illness, bur then we consider that the studies on the case like this are more needed to convince that Hwanggigyeji-tang(황지계지탕(黃芷桂技場)), (팔물군자탕(八物君子湯))are very much effective.
