  • This is a follow-up study of "A study on the color image of baby's wear brands". This study was performed to classify the style images and analyze the style and color images of 7 baby wear brands that suggests how their harmony and consistency identify their clothing images. In order to classify the style image, questionnaires were organized with 40 pieces of the style board of 7 brands and 20 baby wear images adjectives. The total 324 copies were used to survey students who majored in fashion design. Questionnaires were analyzed by factor analysis from the SPSS 12.0 package program. The results of this study are as follows: First, the style image of baby wear brands was classified by 4 factors, 'loveliness', 'chic', 'liveliness', and 'pureness'. This was similar with the results of the color images that were surveyed in advance of this study. There were different characteristics for the style image of 7 baby wear brands. Second, gender (boy, girl, and new-borns) affected the style image and not season. Third, the harmony and consistency of the style and color image of 7 baby wear brands were different. It was possible to identify the clothing image of 5 baby wear brands by consistency and harmony in style and color images. However, it was evaluated that 2 baby wear brands were needed to plan the style and color image closely as well as harmoniously to make their clothing image definitive.

  • In this study, a part of high school science instructional materials is evaluated by Instructional Quality Profile(IQP) based on the Merrill's Component Display Theory(CDT). The CDT is based on the Gagne's assumption of different conditions of learning for different outcomes. The IQP enables the user to check both the consistency and adequacy of existing cognitive instruction. The IQP can be used to predict student performance, and also to design and develop new instructional materials. The instructional components are classified according to 5 task levels; An Use-Generalities on Newly Encountered Examples(UGeg), A Remember-Paraphrased-Generalities(RpG), A Remember-Verbatim-Generalities(RvG), A Remember-Paraphrased-Examples (Rpeg). A Remember-Verbatim-Examples (Rveg). The analyses are composed of 3 parts; Justifying the task level of objectives, Objective-test consistency, and Test-presentation consistency. The objectives, the presentations and the tests given in a teacher's guide and a textbook are analyzed. The results show that the task levels and the content levels of the objectives are not consistent with those of the tests. And the indices of the test-presentation consistency indicate the presentation problems of the instructional materials.

  • Purpose This paper attempts to identify items for improving the usage of PLM(Product Lifecycle Management) systems and suggests ways to prioritize improvement items on the basis of importance. It also tries to find out differences in the importance of improvement items due to the company size, the industry, the job, or the PLM solution. Design/methodology/approach Through a survey from participants to a PLM System Conference, data were collected from a sample of 181 users who had the previous experience in using a PLM system. In order to figure out the differences in the importance among user groups, the F-test with the Scheffe test as a post-hoc analysis was used in case of equal variances and the Welch test with the Dunnett T3 test was used in case of unequal variances. Findings This study sorted out 25 improvement ideas according to their importance assessed by the PLM system users. The top five ideas are improving data consistency, error minimization, fast system response time, enhancing user recognition, and business process improvement. The support group puts higher importance than the general user group in data consistency, fast system response time, enhancing user recognition, business process improvement, dedicated team for data consistency, continuous support from management, hardware performance upgrade, output linkage to other systems, and shortening problem solving duration. The largest company group attaches significantly higher weights than the smallest company group to data consistency, error minimization, fast system response time, business process improvement, dedicated team for data consistency, security with proper access management, output linkage to other systems, and better user interface.

  • Background: Yellow flags are psychosocial factors shown to be indicative of long-term chronicity and disability. The purpose of the study was to evaluate the psychometric properties of the Turkish Yellow Flag Questionnaire (YFQ) in patients with chronic musculoskeletal pain (CMP). Methods: The cross-cultural adaptation was conducted with translation and back-translation of the original version. Reliability (internal consistency and test-retest) was examined for 231 patients with CMP. Construct validity was assessed by correlating the YFQ with the Hospital Anxiety and Depression Scale (HADS), Orebro Musculoskeletal Pain Questionnaire (OMPQ), and Tampa Kinesiophobia Scale (TKS). Factorial validity was examined with both exploratory and confirmatory factorial analysis. Results: The YFQ showed excellent test/retest reliability with an Intraclass correlation coefficient of 0.82. The internal consistency was moderate (Cronbach's alpha of 0.797). As a result of the exploratory factor analysis, there were 7 domains compatible with the original version. As a result of confirmatory factor analysis, the seven-factor structure of YFQ was confirmed. There was a statistically significant correlation between YFQ-total score and OMPQ (r = 0.57, P < 0.001), HADS-anxiety (r = 0.32, P < 0.001), HADS-depression (r = 0.44, P < 0.001), and TKS (r = 0.37, P < 0.001). Conclusions: This study's results provide considerable evidence that the Turkish version of the YFQ has appropriate psychometric properties, including test-retest reliability, internal consistency, construct validity and factorial validity. It can be used for evaluating psychosocial impact in patients with CMP.

  • The purpose of this study was to validate the Children's Perception of Interparental Conflict Scale(CPIC) with Korean children. The subjects were 323 sixth graders from three elementary schools in Seoul. The CPIC Scale (Grych, Seid. & Fincham, 1992). the Children's Depression Inventory(CDI; Kovacs, 1981) and the Revised Children's Manifest Anxiety Scale( RCMAS: Reynolds & Richmond, 1978) were used as methodological instruments. The methods for data analyses were Pearson's r. factor analysis, and Cronbach's. Eight of the nine initial scales showed acceptable levels of internal consistency. The correlations among the CPIC subscales were assessed and the data were examined with factor analysis. Three factors were extracted and labeled 'Conflict Properties, Self-Blame,' and 'Threat', respectively. The validity of the CPIC subscales was assessed by examining correlations between the CPIC subscales and the CDI and the RCMAS, and the coefficients were significant. The three scales demonstrated good internal consistency (Cronbach's=.86, .81, .79).
