CONFORMAL CHANGES OF A RIZZA MANIFOLD WITH A GENERALIZED FINSLER STRUCTURE

  • We are devoted to dealing with the conformal theory of a Rizza manifold with a generalized Finsler metric $G_{ij}$ (x,y) and a new conformal invariant non-linear connection $M^{i}$ $_{j}$ (x,y) constructed from the generalized Cern's non-linear connection $N^{i}$ $_{j}$ (x,y) and almost complex structure $f^{i}$ $_{j}$ (x). First, we find a conformal invariant connection ( $M_{j}$ $^{i}$ $_{k}$ , $M^{i}$ $_{j}$ , $C_{j}$ $^{i}$ $_{k}$ ) and conformal invariant tensors. Next, the nearly Kaehlerian (G, M)-structures under conformal change in a Rizza manifold are investigate.

  • The almost Hermitian Finsler structure of a Rizza manifold is an almost Hermitian structure if a special condition satisfies. In this paper, the induced Finsler connection from Moor metric is define and the some properties of a Kaehlerian Finsler manifold with respect to the induced Finsler connection from Moor metric are investigated.

  • Nonlinear analysis of mixed structures is carried out by utilizing contact elements of a general finite element analysis computer program(ABAQUS). The present analysis focuses on the enhancing behaviors of mixed structure's connection type. Main 2 issues are related with discontinuity which reduce the stiffness of structure and proposing enhanced connection type. To validate the present study approaching 2 way, analytic one and experimental test.

접합부 강성과 비대칭 적설하중 적용을 통한 목조 래티스 지붕 구조물의 좌굴하중 특성 (Buckling Load of Lattice Timber Roof Structure considering Stiffness of Connection with Asymmetric Snow Load)

  • A timber lattice roof, which has around 30m span, was constructed. In order to figure out the realistic buckling load level, the structural analysis of this roof structure was performed especially by stiffness of connection with various asymmetric snow load. Due to the characteristics of application of snow load, the load combinations of snow should be considered not only global area but also local part so that the critical buckling load could be observed as easy as possible. Geometrical imperfection was simulated to consider inaccurate shape of structure. And then nonlinear analysis were performed. Finally, this paper could investigate that the asymmetric snow load with the lower level stiffness of connection decreased the level of buckling load significantly.

  • We study almost complex metallic Norden manifolds and their adapted connections with respect to an almost complex metallic Norden structure. We study various connections like special connection of the first type, special connection of the second type, Kobayashi-Nomizu metallic Norden type connection, Yano metallic Norden type connection etc., on almost complex metallic Norden manifolds. We establish classifications of almost complex metallic Norden manifolds by using covariant derivative of the almost complex metallic Norden structure and also by using torsion tensor on the canonical connections.

마찰 슬라이딩 거동을 보이는 건물 내 중량 설비의 내진성능 향상을 위한 감쇠기 연결 방안 (Damper Configuration for Seismic Performance Improvement of Heavy Facilities with Frictional Sliding Behavior inside Building)

  • This study proposes a new damper configuration for seismic performance improvement of heavy sliding facilities inside a building. For this purpose, we deal with two connection types of control system, and the parametric study has been performed to investigate their comparative seismic performances according to the variations of the control capacity. In order to simulate the seismic responses of the proposed system, we employed a recently-developed seismic response analysis method that can deal with the two-mass system with nonlinear frictional sliding behavior. The numerical results demonstrate that the typical method of diagonal bracing damper connection can exhibit effective control performance both on structure and the heavy sliding facilities, whereas the structure-facilities connection method does not show any control effect on both responses. On the other hand, the typical method has some limitations that it can adversely cause excessive sliding of the facilities, depending upon the frequency characteristics of structure and earthquake. On the contrary, the structure-facilities connection method is very effective in reducing the sliding displacement of the heavy facilities, even with small amount of control capacity. Thus, the following potential expectations can be inferred from these results: The typical diagonal bracing damper connection method will have some promising benefits in controlling the sliding facilities inside the building as well as the building itself, and the structure-facilities connection method can be a cost-effective way of protecting the internal heavy important facilities inside the structure already designed with sufficient seismic performance.

지주식흙막이의 두부 연결 방법에 따른 안정성에 관한 실험적 연구 (An Experimental Study on the Stability of IER according to the Head Connection Method)

  • IER은 굴착 중에 안정성을 증가시키기 위해서 전면지주에 배면지주를 기울어지게 설치하고 강결시킨 구조이다. IER은 배면지주가 억지말뚝의 역할을 함으로써 전면지주에 발생하는 수평변위를 억제하는 효과가 있고, 전면지주에 작용하는 토압을 분산 시켜 구조적으로 안정한 가시설 공법이다. 본 연구에서는 사질토 지반에서 수치해석과 실내모형실험을 통해 IER의 두부를 강결과 힌지로 조건을 다르게 연결하여 IER의 역학적 특성을 확인하였다. 수치해석 결과, 최대수평변위는 두부의 연결 방법이 강결일 때 힌지일 때의 88%가 발생하고 실내모형실험 결과, 수평변위는 두부 연결 방법이 강결일 때 힌지일 때의 단지 7%만 발생하는 것으로 분석되었다. 또한, 지반의 전단변형 해석 결과 토압은 두부의 연결 방법이 강결일 때 힌지일 때의 67%만 작용하는 것으로 분석되었다.

  • Let G be a compact and connected semisimple Lie group, H a closed subgroup, g (resp. h) the Lie algebra of G (resp. H), B the Killing form of g, g the normal metric on the homogeneous space G/H which is induced by -B. Let D be an invarint connection with Weyl structure (D, g, ${\omega}$) in the tangent bundle over the normal homogeneous Riemannian manifold (G/H, g) which is projectively flat. Then, the affine connection D on (G/H, g) is a Yang-Mills connection if and only if D is the Levi-Civita connection on (G/H, g).

Studies on restoring force model of concrete filled steel tubular laced column to composite box-beam connections

  • Mega composite structure systems have been widely used in high rise buildings in China. Compared to other structures, this type of composite structure systems has a larger cross-section with less weight. Concrete filled steel tubular (CFST) laced column to box-beam connections are gaining popularity, in particular for the mega composite structure system in high rise buildings. To enable a better understanding of the destruction characteristics and aseismic performance of these connections, three different connection types of specimens including single-limb bracing, cross bracing and diaphragms for core area of connections were tested under low cyclic and reciprocating loading. Hysteresis curves and skeleton curves were obtained from cyclic loading tests under axial loading. Based on these tested curves, a new trilinear hysteretic restoring force model considering rigidity degradation is proposed for CFST laced column to box-beam connections in a mega composite structure system, including a trilinear skeleton model based on calculation, law of stiffness degradation and hysteresis rules. The trilinear hysteretic restoring force model is compared with the experimental results. The experimental data shows that the new hysteretic restoring force model tallies with the test curves well and can be referenced for elastic-plastic seismic analysis of CFST laced column to composite box-beam connection in a mega composite structure system.
