휴대용 뇨당 측정 시스템의 개발 (Development of an Portable Urine Glucose Monitoring System)

  • 뇨당 측정 시스템은 소변 속의 글루코오스 농도를 측정함으로서 당뇨 수치를 모니터링하는 비침습적인 당뇨병 자가 진단 장치이다. 본 논문에서는 기존의 침습형 혈당측정방법의 불편성과 비색계를 이용한 뇨당 검사법의 단점을 보완한 뇨당 측정시스템을 설계하였다. 뇨당 측정시스템은 뇨당 측정용 화학센서, 신호검출부, 디지털 제어 및 신호분석부, 디스플레이부 및 전원부로 구성된다. 뇨당측정용 센서로는 재현성이 뛰어나고 다루기가 간편하며 저렴한 가격으로 대량 생산할 수, 있는 일회용 뇨당측정용 전류화학센서를 개발하였다. 설계한 뇨당 측정시스템의 성능을 평가하기 위하여 사람의 소변에 임의의 농도의 글루코오스 성분을 섞은 용액에 대하여 글루코오스 성분 분석시 사용되는 표준장비와의 비교분석을 통해서 글루코오스 농도 검출에 대한 신뢰성 평가를 수행하였다. 회귀분석에 기초한 신뢰성 평가를 수행한 결과 표준오차는 2.85282로 나타났다. 또한, 화학센서를 사용해서 측정하는 시스템을 평가 시 중요한 파라미터인 S.D(Standard Deviation)는 10%로서 임상적으로 유효한 15% 범주 내에 있음을 확인하였고, C.V(Coefficient of Validation)값은 ,5%이내이므로 혈당센서의 기준으로 평가해 볼때 만족하는 결과를 보였다.

  • In the product development stage, it is very important to ensure demanded quality level before moving to the full-scale manufacturing. For example, in developing guided weapons, live-fire tests are required to verify the final performance of the weapons which are very expensive. The quality evaluation of the guided weapons needs destructive testing, which makes it necessary to test as small number of samples as possible. This paper presents sampling inspection plans and calculating system for finite population guided weapons, which can meet the demanded quality level and confidence level with the minimum number of performance tests. The result of this paper can be useful for any kind of costly destructive testing.

Validity of the Wii Balance Board for Evaluation of Medial Patellar Luxation in Small Sized Dog

  • Wii® balance board (WBB) is a device that can measure and record body sway. This study was conducted to evaluate the reliability of WBB in small sized dog as inexpensive, portable and convenient tool. The center of pressure path length (CPPL) and 95% confidence ellipse area (Area 95) were evaluated with only two plates of WBB. The parameters were evaluated between no load (0 kg) and mass group (0.25-4 kg on each one plate). 23 dogs (2.3-7.3 kg) were evaluated for with hindlimb standing for 10 seconds. The mass group showed a significant value in comparison to the no load during the measurement. And intra-class correlation coefficients (ICCs) between CPPL and Area 95 revealed very high both mass and dog group. In the evaluation of medial patellar luxation (MPL) as a diagnostic tool, 80 dogs with MPL and 23 non-affected dogs were used. In studies of CPPL and Area 95, significant differences were found between non-affected and MPL groups for 10 and 30 seconds, respectively. The WBB can be used as a valid tool for evaluating hind limb standing balance and can be useful as an objective tool to present clinical results in small sized dog with MPL.

일반인의 심폐소생술 교육에 대한 사전 교육 평가의 영향 (Effect of pre-educational evaluation on CPR education of the General population)

  • 본 연구의 목적은 사전 평가 수행 여부가 심폐소생술 수행 능력 결과에 미치는 영향을 확인하 는 것이다. 사전 평가그룹(PTG)의 경우 교육 전 1분 동안 사전 평가를 수행하였으며 사전 평가를 수행하지 않은 그룹(NPTG)은 정규교육만을 진행하였다. 두 그룹 모두 교육 후 1분 동안 술기 평가를 수행하였다. PTG의 사전 및 사후 평가를 비교한 결과, 가슴 압박의 깊이, 속도, 압박 후 이완에서 통계적으로 유의하게 변화하였다. 두 그룹의 교육 후 가슴 압박 수행 결과에서는 가슴압박 속도에서만 통계적으로 유의한 차이가 있었다. 교육 후 자심감 결과에서는 두 그룹 모두 통계적으로 유의한 차이가 있었다. 훈련 전에 실시한 사전 평가는 가슴 압박의 결과뿐만 아니라 자신감 향상에도 좋은 영향을 미치는 것으로 판단된다. 따라서 일반인을 대상으로 하는 심폐소생술 교육의 집중도를 높이기 위해서는 교육 전 평가 등의 추가적인 프로그램 개발이 필요하다고 판단된다.

  • GIS(Gas insulated switching gear) is power equipment with excellent dielectric strength and is economy merit in high confidence and stability. Recently, because equipment of GIS was occurring problem of confidence used for a long time, partial discharge on-line diagnosis systems have been importantly recognized. Partial discharge (PD) detection is an effective means for monitoring and evaluation of dielectric condition of gas insulated system (GIS). The ultra-high-frequency (UHF) PD detection technique can detect and locate the PD sources inside GIS by detecting electromagnetic wave emitted from PD source. Therefore, real-time diagnostic system using UHF detection method has been developed for this application is being expanded gradually. However, the signal of partial discharge occurring in SF6 gas is very weak and susceptible to external noises which mainly consist of PD in air. Thus, it is important to distinguish the PD in SF6 gas more sensitively from the external noises. Unfortunately, these external noise signals and the partial discharge signals have very similar characteristics. Therefore, to solve this problem, we need the signal processing method for distinguish partial discharge signals with external noise signals for improvement of SNR(signal to noise ratio) and sensitivity. In this paper, we proposed internal signal processing method for removing external noise signals with built-in pre.amplifier and frequency conversion circuit.

  • 액체로켓엔진 연소기는 연소성능 및 연소안정성 분야에 있어서 높은 신뢰도를 가져야 한다. 특히, 추진제의 분무와 혼합을 담당하는 분사기는 이러한 신뢰도를 결정짓는 중요한 요소이다. 본 연구는 모델 상사 기법을 이용하여 이중 와류 동축형 분사기의 연소안정성 특성을 평가하였다. 또한 연소안정성 증대를 위해 사용하는 배플의 경우 길이 및 간극 변화로부터 나타나는 효과를 검토하였다.

Damage states of yielding and collapse for elevated water tanks supported on RC frame staging

  • Elevated water tanks are inverted pendulum type structures where drift limit is an important criterion for seismic design and performance evaluation. Explicit drift criteria for elevated water tanks are not available in the literature. In this study, probabilistic approach is used to determine maximum drift limit for damage state of yielding and damage state of collapse for the elevated water tanks supported on RC frame staging. The two damage states are defined using results of incremental dynamic analysis wherein a total of 2160 nonlinear time history analyses are performed using twelve artificial spectrum compatible ground motions. Analytical fragility curves are developed using two-parameter lognormal distribution. The maximum allowable drifts corresponding to yield and collapse level requirements are estimated for different tank capacities. Finally, a single fragility curve is developed which provides maximum drift values for the different probability of damage. Further, for rational consideration of the uncertainties in design, three confidence levels are selected and corresponding drift limits for damage states of yielding and collapse are proposed. These values of maximum drift can be used in performance-based seismic design for a particular damage state depending on the level of confidence.

발전설비 보일러 튜브 용접부의 잔여수명평가 신뢰성 향상을 위한 기계적 물성 변화 연구(SA213-T12) (A Study on Mechanical Properties Changes to Improve the Confidence of Remaining Life Evaluation for the Weldment of Power Plant Boiler Tube(SA213-T12))

  • Boiler equipment in power plant is always being operated in harsh conditions and severely exposed to the extreme environment of high temperature. Therefore periodically the state of devices should be checked, diagnosed, and analyzed to ensure the reliability of the equipment. Traditionally, such a diagnosis is based one or two physical properties of the sample taken from the equipment like hardness, microstructure, etc.. However, to enhance the confidence of the diagnosis, it is necessary to synthesize those properties together. This paper is to propose such a synthetic procedure for SA213-T12(1Cr-0.5Mo) which was developed to be used in $565^{\circ}C$ below condition. Creep test and accelerated degradation test were performed simultaneously, and the physical properties such as microstructure, tensile strength, yield strength, hardness, and indentation properties were measured. This paper proposes a method of determining the remaining life by quantitative comparison. It will provide the basis of evaluating life assessment more objective and reliable.

P-value significance level test for high-performance steel fiber concrete (HPSFC)

  • Statistical analysis has found useful application in the design of experiments (DOE) especially optimization of concrete ingredients however, to be able to apply the concept properly using computer aided applications there has to be an upper and lower limits of responses fed to the system. In this study, the production of high-performance steel fiber concrete (HPSFC) at five different fiber addition levels by volume with two aspect ratios of 60 and 83 were studied under two curing methods completely dry cured (DC) and moist cured (MC) conditions. In other words, this study was carried out for those limits based on material properties available in North Cyprus. Specimens utilized were cubes 100 mm size casted and cured for 28 days and tested for compressive strength. Minitab 18 statistical software was utilized for the analysis of results at a 5 per cent level of significance. Experimentally, it was observed that, there was fluctuation in compressive strength results for the two aspect ratios and curing regimes. On the other hand P-value hypothesis evaluation of the response showed that at the stated level of significance, there was a statistically significant difference between dry and moist curing conditions. Upper and lower limit values were proposed for the response to be utilized in DOE for future studies based on these material properties. It was also suggested that for a narrow confidence interval and accuracy of the system, future study should increase the sample size.

Top-${\kappa}$ 유사도 조인을 위한 샘플링 기반 알고리즘 (A Sampling-based Algorithm for Top-${\kappa}$ Similarity Joins)

  • Top-${\kappa}$ 유사도 조인 문제는 두 개의 입력 레코드 집합들에서 유사도를 기준한 상위 ${\kappa}$ 개의 레코드 쌍을 찾는 것이다. 샘플링 기법을 이용하여 상위 ${\kappa}$ 개의 유사도 조인 쌍을 반환하는 효율적인 알고리즘을 제안한다. 입력 레코드들의 표본에서 집합 유사도 조인들의 히스토그램을 구성하고, 상위 ${\kappa}$ 개의 조인 쌍을 위한 추정 유사도 한계치를 통계 추론으로 95% 신뢰 구간의 오차 한계 내에서 계산한다. 상위 ${\kappa}$ 개의 유사도 조인을 얻기 위하여 최소-히프 구조를 사용하는 일반 유사도 조인 알고리즘에 이 추정 한계치를 적용한다. 대 용량의 실제 데이터집합에서의 실험결과는 제안된 알고리즘의 좋은 성능을 보여준다.
