In this paper, we present the design and implementation of a Fault Tolerant VOD system. The system uses the double striping policy that a original file is sequentially striped to multiple streaming server with constant data block size and the data block of one streaming server is re-striped to the other streaming server. When a fault occurs in one streaming server, automatically the other streaming server will service.

Current web-server deals a multimedia data as well as text data. But dealing a multimedia data is high burden to web-server. So it can degrade web-server response. We introduce H/W feature CDA (Contents Delivery Accelerator). Main function of this H/W is transferring data between SCSI disk and NIC by direct path, and TCP offloading. These 2 functions can accelerate web-server performance. In this paper we will explain problem of current web-server and suggest our new architecture and say various implementation issues.

인터넷의 서비스개선으로 사용자의 수는 기하급수적으로 늘어나고 있으며, 이러한 경향에 발맞추어 홈페이지의 수도 날로 늘어가고 있는 추세이다. 홈페이지를 만드는데 있어서 필수적인 것이 바로 Web Server라고 한 수 있으며, 현재 Web Server에 대한 연구가 계속되고 있는 추세이다. 본 논문에서는 현재 사용되고 있는 Web Server보다 좀더 개선된 Server 시스템을 제안하였으며, 이 Server 시스템은 OS에 독립적일 뿐만 아니라 사용자에 대한 서비스 시간과 사용 자원을 줄일 수 있다.

인터넷의 확산으로 인해 가정의 정보화 필요성이 급증함에 따라 Home Network를 위한 Home Server의 개발이 요구되고 있다. 이에 본 논문에서는 가정에서 손쉽게 Home Network를 구축할 수 있는 Home Server를 개발함으로써 가정 정보화에 기여하고자 한다.

There have been many streaming servers that provide a large number of contents for a user's preference. General purpose streaming sewer makes use of a RTSP protocol for streaming controls such as message passing with client players. To date, there has been minimal research regarding streaming server's performance test tools. For measuring streaming server's performance, performance evaluation technique is needed and also achieved by RTSP based controls, a server's performance result and its miscellaneous test tools such the PseudoPlayer for pumping data to a specified port and the PseudoMonitor for gathering information. In this paper, We implement a test toolkit for evaluating a streaming server's performance and show the case of its application

본 논문은 현재 MBone상에서 사용되는 화상회의 시스템들이 회의 제어 보다 더 효율적으로 화상회의를 제어하는 시스템을 구현하였다. 이 시스템은 비브로드캐스팅 네트워크 상에서 멀티캐스트 서비스를 제공하며 이는 여러개의 MTS(Multipoint Transport Server)를 통해 멀티미디어 데이타를 멀티캐스팅한다. 또한 CCS(Conference Control Server)를 통해 가안 결합성을 갖는 회의 제어 서비스를 제공한다. 본 논문에서 구현한 시스템은 강한 결합성을 갖는 회의 제어 서비스를 제공함으로서 보다 효율적으로 화상회의를 수행할 수 있다.

인터넷의 사용자가 증가함에 따라 다양한 서비스가 요구된다 다자간 회의 시스템 역시 다양한 서비스 제공의 일부분으로 많은 연구가 진행되고 있다. VoIP 프로토콜인 SIP(Session Initiation Protocol)는 기본적으로 다자간 멀티미디어 컨퍼런싱을 지원한다. 그러나 현재는 인터넷 전화 등 주로 1:1 호설정에 이용되고 있다. 이를 위해 SiP에 다자간 회의 시스템을 적용하기 위하여 새로운 메소드 및 헤더의 확장, 나아가 다자간 회의 시스템 모델 정의등이 요구되어진다. 본 논문은 다자간 회의 시스템 모델 표준을 소개하고 이를 기초로 효율적인 Conference Server를 제시한다. 설계된 Conference Server는 유효한 리소스의 관리 및 처리를 위해 접속 풀링(Connection Pooling)개념을 적용하여 컨퍼런싱에 참여하는 사용자의 요구를 신속하게 처리할 수 있도록 하였으며 QoS Selector를 두어 사용자의 자원에 맞는 서비스를 보장할 수 있게 하여 효율성을 높였다.

본 논문은 모바일 장치에 의한 데이터베이스 관리 시스템에 관해 기술한다. 본 시스템은 모바일 장치를 사용해서 언제 어디서든지 즉시 원격으로 데이터베이스를 관리 가능하다. 이를 위해 모바일 디바이스와 인터페이스 가능한 dataset server CE와 모바일 장치에서 운용 가능한 데이터베이스 관리 시스템 및 모바일 장치를 데스크톱 컴퓨터와 연결 시켜주는 웹 서비스 프로그램을 개발했다. 외부의 모바일 장치는 웹 서비스 기능과 무선으로 연결한다. 개발한 시스템은 dataset server CE 클라이언트 엔진, 웹 서비스 서버 에이전트 및 모바일 관리 시스템을 포함한다. 애플리케이션 프로그램을 이용해서 시스템의 기능을 테스트 했고, 테스트 결과 개발한 시스템이 원래의 목적대로 잘 운용됨을 확인했다.

Kerberos is system that offer authorization in internet and authentication service. Can speak that put each server between client and user in distributed environment and is security system of symmetry height encryption base that offer authentication base mutually. Kerberos authentication is based entirely on the knowledge of passwords that are stored on the Kerberos Server. A user proves her identity to the Kerberos Server by demonstrating Knowledge of the key. The fact that the Kerberos Server has access to the user's decrypted password is a rwsult of the fact that Kerberos does not use public key cryptogrphy. It is a serious disadvantage of the Kerbercs System. The Server must be physically secure to prevent an attacker from stealing the Kerberos Server and learning all of the user passwords. Kerberos was designend so that the server can be stateless. The Kerberos Server simply answers requests from users and issues tickets. This study focused on designing a SIP procy for interworking with AAA server with respect to user authentication and Kerberos System. Kerberos is security system of encryption base that offer certification function mutually between client application element and server application element in distributed network environment. Kerberos provides service necessary to control whether is going to approve also so that certain client may access to certain server. This paper does Credit-Control Server's function in AAA system of Diameter base so that can include Accounting information that is connected to Rating inside certification information message in Rating process with Kerberos system.

본 논문에서는 응용 계층에서 수행되는 Proxy Server방식을 이용하여 Firewall이 있는 환경에서 H.323기반 서비스를 지원할 수 있는 기술적 방안을 연구하였다. H.323 프로토콜 서비스 시나리오와 기존의 Firewall방식을 연구하여 H.323 응용서비스 제공하기 위해서 어떠한 문제를 해결해야할 것인지를 연구하고 기존에 설치된 많은 firewall 환경에 적용 가능한 H.323 응용서비스를 위한 Application Proxy Server 구조를 제안하였다.
