다단자 송전계통에서의 1선지락 고장시 고장점 표정 알고리즘 (A Fault Location Algorithm for a Single Line Ground Fault on a Multi-Terminal Transmission Line)

  • This paper presents a fault location algorithm for a single phase-to-ground fault on 3-terminal transmission systems. The method uses only the local end voltage and current signals. Other currents used for the algorithm are estimated by current distribution factors and the local end current. Negative sequence current is used to remove the effect of load current. Five distance equations based on Kirchhoff's voltage law are established for the location algorithm which can be applied to a parallel transmission line having a teed circuit. Separating the real and imaginary parts of each distance equation, final nonlinear equations that are functions of the fault location can be obtained. The Newton-Raphson method is then applied to calculate the estimated fault location. Among the solutions, a correct fault distance is selected by the conditions of the existence of solution. With the results of extensive S/W and H/W simulation tests, it was verified that the proposed algorithm can estimate an accurate fault distance in a 154kV model system.

  • A new fault location algorithm based on stationary wavelet transform and its verification experiment results are described for HVDC submarine cables in this paper. For wavelet based fault location algorithm, firstly, 4th level approximation coefficients decomposed by wavelet transform function are superimposed by correlation, then the distance to the fault point is calculated by time delay between the first incident signal and the second reflected signal. For the verification of this algorithm, the real experiments based on various fault conditions and return types of fault current are performed at HVDC submarine cable test yard located in KEPCO(Korea Electric Power Corporation) Power Testing Center of South Korea. It proves that the fault location method proposed in this paper is very simple but very quick and accurate for HVDC submarine cable fault location.

  • 무선센서 네트워크에서, 위치기반의 라우팅 알고리즘은 네트워크의 성능을 향상 시킬 수 있다. 따라서 많은 위치 추적 알고리즘이 제안되고 있다. 하지만, 실제 상황의 무선센서 네트워크에서 각각의 노드가 자신의 위치를 인지할 시 오차가 수반된다. 특히 실내 환경은 콘크리트 벽이나 가구와 같은 NLOS환경을 만드는 장해물을 가지고 있기 때문에 위치 추적 시 심각한 오차가 발생한다. 이러한 문제를 해결하기 위해서, 앵커노드로부터 얻어지는 위치정보로 구축한 토폴로지와 모바일 노드간의 연결을 가중치로 하는 MST 토폴로지 정보의 차이점을 이용해서 위치 오차를 보정하는 알고리즘을 제안한다. 제안한 알고리즘은 NLOS환경이 존재하는 네트워크에서, 위치 오차를 보정하여 위치기반 네트워크의 성능을 개선할 수 있다.

DURABILITY IMPROVEMENT OF A CYLINDER HEAD IN CONSIDERATION OF MANUFACTURING PROCESS

  • The durability of a cylinder head is influenced by the thermal and mechanical history during the manufacturing process, as well as engine operation. In order to improve the durability of cylinder head, both load from engine operation and the preload conditions from the manufacturing process must be considered. The aluminum cylinder head used for a HSDI diesel engine is investigated to reduce the possibility of high cycle fatigue crack in this study. FE analysis is performed to elucidate the mechanism of high cycle fatigue crack in the HSDI diesel cylinder head. Two separate approaches to increase the durability of the cylinder head are discussed: reducing load from engine operation and re-arranging preload conditions from the manufacturing process at the critical location of the cylinder head. Local design changes of the cylinder head and modification of pretension load in the cylinder head bolt were investigated using FE analysis to relieve load at the critical location during engine operation. Residual stress formed at the critical location during the manufacturing process is measured and heat treatment parameters are changed to re-arrange the distribution of residual stress. Results of FE analysis and experiments showed that thorough consideration of the manufacturing process is necessary to enhance the durability of the cylinder head.

Effect of crack location on buckling analysis and SIF of cracked plates under tension

  • Cracks and defects may occur anywhere in a plate under tension. Cracks can affect the buckling stability performance and even the failure mode of the plate. A search of the literature reveals that the reported research has mostly focused on the study of plates with central and small cracks. Considering the effectiveness of cracks on the buckling behavior of plates, this study intends to investigate the effects of some key parameters, i.e., crack size and location as well as the plate aspect ratio and support conditions, on the buckling behavior, stress intensity factor (SIF), and the failure mode (buckling or fracture) in cracked plates under tension. To this end, a sophisticated mathematical code was developed using MATLAB in the frame-work of extended finite element method (XFEM) in order to analyze the buckling stability and collapse of numerous plate models. The results and findings of this research endeavor show that, in addition to the plate aspect ratio and support conditions, careful consideration of the crack location and size can be quite effective in buckling behavior assessment and failure mode prediction as well as SIF evaluation of the cracked plates subjected to tensile loading.

판교 신도시내의 추모공원 입지선정 분석 (Analysis on location selection of the Memorial Park at Pangyo)

  • 본 논문은 판교 신도시내의 새로운 추모시설을 도입함으로써, 차후의 신도시의 계획컨셉과 복지정책의 전환을 가능케할 수 있다는 전제하에 추진되었다. 이 연구에서는 판교신도시내의 근린공원 10개 중, 최종 1개의 최적부지를 선정하기 위해 추모공원 입지가 가능한 근린공원들을 분석하여 선정하는 연구를 진행하였다. 추모공원의 혐오시설로서의 특성들을 고려하고, 자연적 요소 및 기술적 요소 등에 대한 기준들을 검토하였으며, 전문가의견 설문을 통해 가중치분석의 틀을 객관화하였으며, 신도시내의 공원화 가능성에 대해 검토하였다. 이를 위해 판교라는 신도시의 특징 등 제반 여건이 종합적으로 검토되었으나, 본 연구에서는 추모공원의 입지선정과정을 보여줌으로써, 다른 여타의 추모공원의 입지분석에 기초정보를 제공할 수 있을 것으로 사료된다.

Experimental Investigation on Critical Heat Flux in Bilaterally Heated Annulus with equal heat flux on both sides

  • A phenomenological study on CHF in a bilaterally heated annulus with equal heat flux on both sides was experimentally performed. The working fluid of the present test was R-134a. Variation characteristics of CHF and transition of CHF occurrence location were investigated under different pressure, mass flux and quality conditions. With the increase of critical thermodynamic quality, it was found that CHF first occurred on the outer surface of the annulus, then simultaneously occurred on both sides, and finally occurred on the inner surface at relatively high critical quality. After the CHF location transitioned to the inner rod, the sharp fall of CHF in the limiting critical quality region was observed. The critical quality corresponding to the CHF location transition decreased with the increase of mass flux and pressure. Besides, CHF in tube, internally heated, externally heated and bilaterally heated annuli were compared under the same hydraulic diameter conditions. The present study is conducive to improving the understanding of complicated CHF mechanism in bilaterally heated annulus, enriching the experimental database, and providing evidence for developing accurate CHF mechanism model for annuli.

  • An experimental study on geometric optimization was conducted to develop a hybrid/dual swirl jet combustor for a micro-gas turbine. A hybrid concept indicating a combination of swirling jet partially premixed and premixed flames were adopted to achieve high flame stability as well as clean combustion. Location of pilot nozzle, angle and direction of swirl vane were varied as main parameters with a constant fuel flow rate for each nozzle. The results showed that the variation in location of pilot nozzle resulted in significant change in swirl intensity due to the change in flow area near burner exit, and thus, optimized nozzle location was determined on the basis of CO and NOx emissions under conditions of co-swirl flow and swirl $angle=30^{\circ}$. The increase in swirl angle (from $30^{\circ}$ to $45^{\circ}$) enhanced the emission performances, in particular, with a significant reduction of CO emission near lean-flammability limit. It was observed that the CO emission near lean-flammability limit was further reduced through the counter-swirl flow. However, there was not significant change in the NOx emission in the operating conditions (i.e. equivalence ratio of 0.6~0.7) between the co- and the counter-swirl flow.

국내 P공항의 부지 제한조건을 고려한 로컬라이저의 최적위치 선정에 관한 연구 (A Study on Determination for Location of Localizer Antenna under Area Restrictive Conditions at Domestic P-Airport)

  • This paper deals with an optimal determination process for the built-in location of localizer under restrictive siting area conditions of a domestic P-airport. Aerodynamic forces and moments acting on the localizer structure can be used a reference to find the safe distance from jet blast and the position at which the reasonable structural loading is applied. Wind tunnel experiment is conducted to measure aerodynamic loadings. The finite element analysis for structural deformation is employed to get the information of structural failure. A new localizer's position is determined by considering aerodynamic loading, structural strength and thermal loading due to jet blast. Deflector effect was also investigated in this study. In conclusion, the location of localizer can be placed at shorter than the current position and greatly decreased if the deflector is applied at the front of localizer.

헤어 샵 이용 소비자의 구전 커뮤니케이션에 관한 연구 (A Study on Word-of-Mouth Communication of Hairshop Customers)

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate that positive and negative word-of-mouth informations getting hairshop customers have influence on visiting intention of potential consumers. Data were collected from 354 university or college women. The results showed as follows; First, positive word-of-mouth informations that consumers have experienced in using hairshop were employee altitude/technique, consideration in customer's situation, kindness, saving of time/additional service, facilities, rational price, gift service/benefit in conditions of location. Second, negative word-of-mouth informations that consumers have experienced in using hairshop were inconsistent service, service focus on non-customers, irrational price/technique insufficiency/ inadequate compensational system, irrelevance of face-to-face management. Third, in getting positive word-of-mouth informations, consideration in customer's situation, rational price and gift service/benefit in conditions of location, consumers had visiting intention, and in getting negative informations, irrational price/technique insufficiency/inadequate compensational system, consumers had no visiting intention.
