  • If the new town development project begins with inappropriate location then it will be difficult to recruit tenants and the proportion of the infrastructure cost could increase. It is necessary to evaluate the feasibility of the new town development projects to solve this problem. This study aims to identify the current status of the new town development projects and draw up evaluation criteria by examining advanced researches. To identify the importance of each village, we set up the weights through analytic hierarchy process. The evaluation criteria were classified into location conditions and economical efficiency. In the case of location conditions, it was classified into available size, geographical conditions, and accessibility. As a result of analyzing the questionnaire, it was subdivided into officially assessed land prices in case of economic efficiency. This study had some limitations, that is we focused on the location conditions and economic feasibility among other factors. Therefore further study should contain analysis more on socio-cultural aspects such as residents' cooperation or will for this project. By adding results later, we can make more reasonable decisions when we choose appropriate area.

  • We investigate the role of contact location information on the perception of local features during contour following in a virtual environment. An absolute identification experiment is conducted under force-alone and force-plus-contact-location conditions to investigate the effect of the contact location information. The results show that the participants identify the local features significantly better in terms of higher information transfer for the force-plus-contact-location condition, while no significant difference was found for measures of the efficacy of contour following between the two conditions. Further data analyses indicate that the improved identification of local features with contact location information is due to the improved identification of small surface features.

  • General location aware systems are only applied to indoor and outdoor environments using more than three transmitters to estimate a fixed object location. Those kinds of systems have environmental restrictions that require an already established infrastructure. To solve this problem, an Object Location Estimation (OLE) algorithm based on PTP (Point To Point) communication has been proposed. However, the problem with this method is that deduction of performance parameters is not enough and location estimation is very difficult because of unknown restriction conditions. From experimental tests in this research, we determined that the performance parameters for restriction conditions are a maximum transmission distance of CSS communication and an optimum moving distance interval between personal locations. In this paper, a system applied OLE algorithm based on PTP communication is implemented using a CSS (Chirp Spread Spectrum) communication module. A maximum transmission distance for CSS communication and an optimum moving distance interval between personal locations are then deducted and studied to estimate a fixed object location for generalization.

  • The purpose of the present research was to examine whether the attention mechanism employs physical or represented location of the cue and target. To achieve this, we have employed the paradigm of facilitation of response as well as inhibition of return. In the experiments, valid and invalid conditions were defined by the position consistency of the cue and the target in the aspect of either physical or represented location. We used auditory cue and visual target in Experiment 1 while visual cue and auditory target in Experiment 2. As a results, in Experiment 1, effect of facilitation of response in valid condition was found when the valid/invalid conditions were defined in the aspect of represented location. In Experiment 2, effect of facilitation of response in valid condition was found when the valid/invalid conditions were defined in the aspect of represented location. In all the other conditions, no effect was found when the conditions were defined in the aspect of physical location. No effects of inhibition of return were found in Experiment 2. These results imply the possibility that attention mechanism operates based on objects' represented location rather than on their physical location. More importantly, the present research suggests that it is necessary to separate represented location from physical location of the target and the cue in the experiment of facilitation of response and inhibition of return in the future.

  • The purpose of the present research was to study effects of experimental conditions and developmental tendency in the use of external cues in memory-for-object location in toddlers. This study consisted of two experiments. In study 1, the subjects were 12 toddlers, 18 to 23 months old ; in study 2, 30 toddlers, 24 to 41 months old. The findings showed that memory-for-object location in toddlers was different in accordance with experimental conditions; that is, memory-for-object location in the natural condition was significantly better than in the artificial condition. Effects of external cues were found ; that is, memory-for-object location was best in the condition of spatial cues, and next best in the condition of picture cues, and least good in the no cue condition.

  • In this study, the Periotest value was measured with Periotest to evaluate precision fit of the 2-unit and 3-unit implant-supported prosthesis by modifying the size and location of ill-fitted conditions. The 2-unit prosthesis was fabricated with the right implant fitted incorrectly and the 3-unit prosthesis with the right and center implant fitted incorrectly. To evaluate the effects of the ill-fitted sizes, 4 groups were divided.:The control group being the accurately fabricated sample group fitted properly. Group 1 was constructed with $40{\mu}m$ ill-fitted conditions, group 2 with $70{\mu}m$ and group 3 with $100{\mu}m$ ill-fitted conditions. The Periotest value was measured at each implant site after tightening 10Ncm. The result was follows : 1. The PTV on the ill-fitted area in the 2-unit implant-supported prosthesis increased as the ill-fitted conditions increased. There was a statistically significant difference among groups(p<0.05). In the same ill-fitted sample, the PTV depending on the measured location demonstrated a statistically significant difference (p<0.05) 2. The PTV on the ill-fitted area of the 3-unit implant-supported with an ill-fitted condition in the right implant increased as the ill-fitted conditions increased. There was a significant difference among groups (p<0.05). In the same ill-fitted sample, the PTV depending on the measured location demonstrated a statistically significant difference (p<0.05). 3. In the 3-unit implant-supported prosthesis with ill fitting conditions in the center implant, the PTV on the ill-fitted area demonstrated a statistically significant difference between the control group, group 1 and group 2 (p<0.05). In the same ill-fitted sample, the PTV depending on the measured location demonstrated significant difference between the gap side and the adjacent side with over $70{\mu}m$ ill-fitted conditions (p<0.05). The results suggest that Periotest is a valuable objective method for evaluating the precision fit of an implant superstructure.

  • Economic Development Zone(EDZ) in the province is one of the foreign policy for economic development of North Korea. North Korea has promulgated 27 Economic Development Zones(5 EDZs as central level and 22 EDZs as provincial level) to promote economic growth through the expansion of external opening policy. EDZs of the provinces play an important role in North Korea's national and regional economic growth. The purpose of this study is to select analytical criteria that can be quantified when considering the location conditions of North Korean economic development zones when domestic companies advance into North Korea according to the progress of inter-Korean economic cooperation, and derive the relative importance between the criteria. After that, based on this, we intend to quantify the evaluation of the location priority of the economic development zone. In this study, through AHP analysis results, when domestic companies enter North Korea, we derive the importance and preference of location selection factors when considering the location conditions of North Korean economic development zones. Taking into account the reality of North Korea when the Korean company entered the North economic development zone following location for evaluation. That is, logistics and transportation, industrial infrastructure, competitiveness, and management incentives. And 14 sub-factors were selected and AHP analysis was performed.

  • The location of villages differs by position, and the method to form the conditions of location varies greatly. This study has comprehensively investigated village layout in the riverside and directional relations in houses. With changes in riverside landscape and transition to an agriculture-oriented village, there have been changes in road and the size, shape and direction of houses as well. In terms of the direction of houses situated along the river, a house facing the river accounts for more than half of all houses in the village. As traditional houses are transformed into modern houses over time, houses have become bigger, and the number of the houses facing south or southeast has been on the rise. As described above, riverside landscape and preference for the house facing south have an effect on determination of the facing direction of houses. However, the direction of geographical features of the village was first followed, and other conditions have been reflected, and the characteristics for the facing direction of houses have been observed.
