방사선조사시 태내백서의 구개형성기에 미치는 영향에 관한 실험적 연구 (AN EXPERIMENTAL STUDY ON EFFECT OF RADIATION IN PALATE DEVELOPMENT OF RAT EMBRYO)

  • The author observed morphological change in palate development of rat embryo after irradiation of x-ray on the one side of the duplex uterus. The time-matings occured between 6 p.m. and 8 p.m. and all females with copulation plugs at 8 a.m. were isolated and properly marked for evidence of copulation. The lower left abdomen of mothers were exposed to x-radiation on the 7 1/2th, 9 1/2th, 11 1/2th day of gestation, respectively 150, 250, 350, 500rads. At 18 1/2th day of post-conception, the pregnant females were dissected and the contents of the two uteri examined. The translucent sample by Alizarin red S stain were prepared. The results were as follows; 1. The result that groups irradiated by 250rads and 350rads made marked difference in comparison with the control group suggests the x-ray to be a inducing factor of cleft palate. 2. At 11 1/2th day of gestation, incidence of cleft palate induced by x-irradiation was highest. 3. Mortality showed the highest frequency at 7 1/2th day of gestation and tended to decrease in according to increasing of age. 4. Morphology of cleft palate induced by x-irradiation showed similarity in comparison with those induced by other factors having reported ever.

  • In the modern Society, the human's way of thinking as well as the new cultural creation has been changing by bringing on a change rapidly. The moderns are demanding humanity and the new cultural cretion through the exchange between the old things and new things by setting material before everything else. The latest trends of today had an effect on the fashion Illustration, a new art category, which gives a new image. This report of research has a purpose which expresses korean images by connecting the korean tradition style to the modern fashion. And we are concerned about the national culture and tradition with the international stream. For this reason I studied these for the purpose of expanding expression area of sewing techniques by applying to fashion Illustration expressing handcraft techniques by natural beauty improving the modern and traditional images, updating, and succeeding to tradition. As the way of studying and contents, I referred to the inside and outside of the country's literatures, these, publications, magazines, or the internet sufing. Firstly, as the theoretical study, I studied a conception and history of the fashion Illustration. I studied the theoretical background of the sewing techniques through the histories, tools, and techniques. The theoretical background of the sewing handicraft is studied through the colors, patterns, materials and sorts. I also and indicated the various works by the domestic designers.

제주지역 청소년수련시설의 공간구성적 특성에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Characteristics of the Space Composition of the Youth Facilities in Jeju)

  • In recent years, many municipal governments have planned and developed welfare programs for their communities. Many of these plans have included youth facilities. However, many of these facilities have had problems keeping up with the rapidly changing needs of young people. Therefore this study aims to analyze the present State of youth facilities, their operating programmes and changing aspect of the space composition. This has significance in suggesting basic materials for planning youth facilities with the spacial characteristics corresponding to their purpose and function as exclusive space for the youth. In our case study, we limited the subjects to the local youth facilities within the daily life area of Jeju, 3 youth facilities and 15 youth culture centers. The results from the case study are as follow. Firstly, in the case of youth culture center, most of the lots are small-sized and they don't show proper space allocation according to activity. Secondly, in the recently-built youth facilities, the cultural space has been expanded rather than the space for public use. Thirdly, it is necessary to formulate the conception of youth culture center and the value in its function and role.

Changing Students' Conceptions of Mathematics through the Introduction of Variation

  • Some 400 Secondary One (i.e. seventh-grade) students from 10 schools were provided with non-routine mathematical problems in their normal mathematics classes as exercises for one academic year. Their attitudes toward mathematics, their conceptions of mathematics and their problem-solving performance were measured both in the beginning and at the end of the year. Hierarchical regression analyses revealed that the introduction of an appropriate dose of non-routine problems would generate some effects on the students' conceptions of mathematics. A medium dose of non-routine problems (as reported by the teachers) would result in a change of the students' conception of mathematics to perceiving mathematics as less of "a subject of calculables." On the other hand, a high dose would lead students to perceive mathematics as more useful and more as a discipline involving thinking. However, with a low dose of non-routine problems, students found mathematics more "friendly" (free from fear). It is therefore proposed that the use of non-routine mathematical problems to an appropriate extent can induce changes in students' "lived space" of mathematics learning and broaden their conceptions of mathematics and mathematics learning.

Strategic Approaches to Free Economic Zones for the Digital Economy: Lessons from a Comparative Study

  • The paper addresses the importance of redesigning strategies for resilient and sustainable regional economic development - by applying strategic approaches to free economic zones for the digital economy. The purpose of the paper is to provide a broad comparative perspective on developed versus developing country efforts to use free economic zone programs to enhance various economic and social objectives. First, the paper introduces the chronicle experiences of free economic zone programs in South Korea and mainland China - developed versus developing economies. The main results of the analysis indicate that (1) achieving the goals and objectives of free economic zones is challenging over time; (2) trying to upgrade the technical component, develop knowledge-based and eco-friendly new industries, or value-added to the economy through free economic zone policies is even challenging; and (3) incentives and other program-specific variables are highly context-specific and not structurally correlated with free economic zone performance. In addition, the paper shows that the initial conception of the role of free economic zones has undergone significant change as individual countries have tried to enhance the contributions and avoid damages from incorporating free economic zones into their development strategy respectively, over time.

  • We use so many plastic products in everyday. Because polymer materials have a lot of merits including low cost and easiness of forming, they are widely using at many manufacturing industries. Microcellular foaming process appeared at MIT in 1980's to save a quantity of material and increase mechanical properties. The information about the thickness of cavity plays an important role in appling microcellular foaming process to the conventional injection molding process. It is essential to make an effective foam. The goal of this research is to measure the relation between the change of cavity's thickness and foaming magnitude made after inserting a gas. R/t is a conception that indicate proportion between radius and thickness of cavity in mold system. By means of SEM observation of side surface of cavity sample, foaming magnitude of cavity is mold system. By means of SEM observation of side surface of cavity sample, foaming magnitude of polymer in microcellular foaming process is decreasing gradually as the value of R/t is increasing. The proposed foaming magnitude changes data of polymer in relation to mold system can be applied in more extensive injection molding process, such as optimum design of mold for microcellular foaming process.

  • To interpret a change of discourse can be a method to understand architectural space in progress. With this idea, features of modern age which motivated sense of the contemporary were considered in this study and subsequently characteristics of contemporary space differentiated from the modern were researched. First of all, features of subject which provided a base of modern thoughts were contemplated. The word 'modern' is used in wide and various terms but basically its core conception consists of reason and universal rationality. The subject of the modem age has vision-centric features just like an ideal representation principle of perspective. Given the fact, it was confirmed that a position to become a right subject, that is, a position controlled by reason existed and that it was to guarantee subject a truth. However, the contemporary subject keeps changing with a purpose of escaping from modern characteristics. It presents a tendency to escape from rationalism of the modern age and Platonism of the ancient Greece which established a basis of western ideology. The subject-centered ideas came to focus on the structure and relationship firmed fundamentally in deep inside of subject. The contemporary subject which escaped from the stiffen ideas bears a meaning through events taking place on immanence surface and serialization. Also, the contemporary architectural space is considered to go abreast with the change and trend. In conclusion, this study proved that features of event-oriented architectural space based on the changing contemporary subject appear as process-based space, user-participated space and individual-cognition space and the like.

교수학적 처방에 따른 중학생들의 일차함수 오개념의 변화와 그 효과 분석 (Analysis of the Error-Remedial Effect and Change of the Students' Misconception on the Learning of Linear Function)

  • 본 연구는 중학교 2학년 학생들의 일차함수에 대한 오개념을 탐구하여 범주화하고, 일차 함수의 개념 학습과정에서 학생들의 오개념을 교정하고자 설명식 교수·학습 방법과 동료간의 상호 작용을 통한 협동 학습 방법을 각각 실시했을 때의 효과를 비교·분석하였다. 그리고, 학생들이 동료간의 협동적 상호 작용을 하면서 개별적으로 구성한 오개념이 어떻게 변화, 발전하는 지를 탐색하였다. 연구 결과, 대수적 환경에서의 학생들의 오개념은 수 개념에 의한 장애, 변수 개념 부족에 의한 장애, 특정관점에의 집착으로 분류되고. 그래프적 환경에서 학생들의 오개념은 함수그래프의 해석과 판단에서의 장애, 변수 개념에 대한 장애로 범주화되었다. 상이한 교수학적 처방의 효과는 오개념의 범주에 따라 각각 다르게 나타났으나, 교정 학습 후에도 기존의 인지 구조에 강하게 각인된 오개념은 계속해서 남아 있었다. 또한, 학생들의 오개념 중 일부는 단순히 잘못된 것이 아니라, 이를 발판 삼아 동료간의 협동 학습을 통하여 올바른 개념으로 변환될 수 있었다.

  • 이 연구에서는 진자에 대한 중학생들의 개념을 조사하고 그네를 타는 근운동 체험으로 불일치 자료를 제시하고 인지갈등 정도 및 개념변화를 살펴보았다. 다수의 학생들은 단진자에 작용하는 합력에 대해 진자 운동의 양 끝 주변에서는 운동궤도를 따라 표현하며 중심 부근에서는 힘이 없다고 하였다. 그 이유를 설명할 때 많이 고려하는 힘의 종류는 중력,운동방향으로의 힘, 그리고 장력이었다. 모든 학생들이 관찰 결과가 자신들의 예상과 다르다는 것을 인정하고 활동을 매우 즐거워하였지만 인지갈등 정도는 그다지 높지 않았다. 인지갈등 요소별로 보면 '흥미'가 가장 높았으며, '불안'이 현저하게 낮았다. 직후 사후 검사와 지연 사후 검사에서 대부분의 학생들이 관찰했던 합력의 방향은 잘 기억하게 되었으나 그 이유를 잘 이해하고 옳게 진술한 학생은 소수였다.

시각장애 초등학생의 용해 개념에 대한 사례 연구 (A Case Study on the Visually Impaired Elementary Students' Conception of Dissolution)

  • 이 연구에서는 시각장애를 가진 초등학생의 용해 개념 특성을 조사하였다. 서울시 소재 시각장애 초등학교 5학년 학생 4명(3명은 전맹, 1명은 저시력)을 대상으로 용해 현상, 용액의 균일성, 용해 시 질량의 보존, 그리고 용해 시 부피의 변화에 대하여 반구조화된 인터뷰를 실시하였다. 모든 인터뷰 상황은 녹화되었고 그 자료를 전사한 뒤 분석하였다. 인터뷰를 분석한 결과, 시각장애 학생들은 용해 현상, 용해의 균일성, 용해 시 질량의 보존에 대해서는 잘 알고 있었지만, 용해 시 부피변화에 대해서는 제대로 설명하지 못하였다. 전반적으로는 같은 학년의 일반 학생과 비슷한 양상을 보였지만, 용해의 균일성에 대해서는 오히려 더 바르게 알고 있었다. 그러나 이들의 설명 수준은 현상적 경험에 기초한 피상적 수준에 불과했다. 일부 시각장애 학생은 입자 수준의 설명을 시도하기도 하였다. 이러한 결과에 기초하여 교육학적 함의를 논의하였다.
