Construction industry faces a lot of inherent uncertainties and issues and the construction phase of nuclear power project is not free from this risk. This paper investigates promising methodologies to be used on nuclear power plant (NPP) construction schedule delay risk assessment by using entry level systems engineering approach. This study contains how the initial concept for the risk assessment methodology has been developed. In this point of view, this work structured on three main phases: needs analysis (NA), concept exploration (CE), and concept definition (CD) through systems engineering (SE) approach. Traditionally, the SE process is applied to technical development programs but this study opens up a new avenue that SE can also be successfully applied to the development and optimization of the risk assessment model. This study provides a rational and systematic process for developing and selecting the best risk assessment model. This paper selects analytic hierarchy process (AHP) method to assess NPP construction schedule delay risk for international project. As conclusion, the proposed concept and selected method can discriminate successfully and clearly among schedule delay risk assessment methods.
The purpose of this study was to investigate the levels of the adolescents' self-concept, communication, and conflict with parents, and to examine relationship between adolescents' conflict and their communication. This study also investigated the effect of the conflict and the communication on their self-concept. 179 second graders of 3 middle schools and 182 6th graders of 2 elementary schools of East Jeonnam were selected as the subjects. The questionnaires for the communication and the conflict between the adolescents and the parents and the self-concept inventory were used. The data were analyzed by regression analysis, t-test, paired-t-test, one way ANOVA and Duncan analysis. First, mother was better than father in the communication with the adolescent. The conflicts with the parents were as shown below in order; the homework, school record, sibling relationship, playing computer games, etc.. The adolescents' self-concept was above the median. Second, the adolescents' conflicts and communications with parents were negatively correlated. Third, there was a difference in the adolescents' self-concept according to the conflict with the parents. Fourth, the adolescents' self-identity was influenced by the communication with the parents. Their self-acceptance was highly influenced by the conflict and the communication with the parents. Their self-behavior was influenced by the communication with the parents.
Objectives: Although dental hygienists are professional workers, their job retention is short. Therefore, in order to improve job retention, the relationship between professional identity and professional self-concept was analyzed. Methods: From January 1 to April 30, 2020, 155 dental hygienists were examined. For data analysis, multiple regression analysis was conducted to confirm the effects of professional identity and professional self-concept on job retention. Results: The dental hygienist's professional self-concept was significantly higher in the team manager than in the staff, but the professional identity was not significantly different. Dental hygienists' professional identity, professional self-concept, and job retention were all positively correlated (p<0.05). As a factor influencing dental hygienist's job retention, the self-concept of the profession had a significant effect, but the identity of the profession did not. Conclusions: Since the professional self-concept has a positive effect on maintaining the profession of dental hygienists, it is necessary to make efforts to improve the professional self-concept in order to increase the job retention.
Objective: This study aimed to investigate the influence of child care center managers' coaching leadership on teachers' motivational self-concepts via middle managers' coaching leadership. Teachers' motivational self-concepts consisted of personal self-concept and social self-concept. Methods: A questionnaire survey was conducted on 475 child care center teachers regarding teachers' recognition of the coaching leadership of managers and middle managers and motivational self-concepts of teachers. To analyze the collected data, the path was examined through descriptive statistics, correlation analysis, structural analysis using Amos, and the mediating effect was confirmed by conducting the Sobel Test. Results: The middle manager's coaching leadership was found to mediate the pathways from the manager's coaching leadership to the teacher's social self-concept, but did not mediate the personal self-concept of teachers. Conclusion/Implications: This study showed that the manager's coaching leadership was mediated by the middle manager's coaching leadership and that the manager's coaching leadership had an influence on the social self-concept of teachers. These results imply that both managers and middle managers need to develop coaching leadership skills in order to improve the motivational self-concept of teachers, which is important for work efficiency at child care centers.
Objectives: This study was conducted to investigate the effect of professional self-concept and ethical awareness of dental hygiene (department) students attending a university located in Gwangju and Jeollanam-do on patients' willingness to protect personal information. Methods: Professional self-concept, ethical disposition, and patients' personal information protection intention according to general characteristics were analyzed using t-tests and one-way ANOVA. After confirming the correlation through Pearson's correlation analysis, the effect on the patient's personal information protection intention was confirmed using multiple regression analysis. Results: Professional self-concept, ethical disposition, and the patients' willingness to protect personal information all showed positive correlations. The higher the communication skills of professional self-concept and the higher the idealism of ethical orientation, the higher the patients' willingness to protect personal information. Conclusions: This study, ascertained the effect of dental hygiene students' professional self-concept and ethical consciousness on patients' personal information protection practices. The results suggest that it is necessary to develop an educational program that can enhance the practice of dental hygienists to protect patients' personal information, and to develop and conduct continuous policy development and research.
Purpose: The purpose of this study was to identify the impacts of professional socialization perceived by nursing students on role conflict and professional self-concept. Methods: Using a structured questionnaire, data were collected from 683 nursing students. For data analysis, descriptive statistics, Pearson correlation coefficient, stepwise multiple regression were conducted using SAS program. Results: The mean score of total professional socialization was 3.74 followed by the scores of 'independence', 3.98, 'commitment', 3.80, 'decision making', 3.60, and 'maturity', 3.53. The mean score of total role conflict was 3.72, and professional self-concept was 2.75. Total professional socialization, commitment, and independence perceived by nursing students were positively related to role conflict. Also total professional socialization and total subcategories of professional socialization were positively related to professional self-concept. As a result of stepwise multiple regression analysis, the key determinants of role conflict were found to be 'independence', 'motivation with admission', 'sex', 'desire with working', 'grade' and 'decision making'. The key determinants of professional self-concept were 'decision making', 'commitment', 'satisfaction about nursing', and 'interpersonal relationship'. Conclusion: Through this results, it is necessary to improve professional socialization in order to increase professional self-concept among nursing students.
The purposes of this study were to build the concept of luxury brand and analyze the previous luxury brand studies. A number of publication and journals were reviewed and analyzed depending on subjects and year. The result of review and analysis were as follows: 1. The concept of luxury brand in the previous studies were arranged and the concept of luxury brand was defined by special characteristics of luxury brand. The subjects were usually categorized into three fundamental groups: luxury brand consumer characteristics, Marketing's 4P of luxury brand, social & culture analysis of luxury brand. In general, the studies of luxury brand consumer characteristics are conducted most actively, and they are followed by the marketing of luxury brand and social & culture analysis of luxury brand. 2. Luxury brand studies were organized by year. As a result, of this study, It tends to increase the concern and studies of luxury brand from 2003 to 2005. At the beginning of luxury brand studies, the consumer characteristics studies were researched actively. However the marketing studies were increasing and subjects were diversed gradually. But, previous studies of Luxury brand lacked in explaining changed consumer characteristics, marketing and social & culture analysis. Thus, this study directed the future studies to study deep into luxury brand studies.
This study was undertaken to investigate the factorial structure of clothing purchase motives, and to examine the relationship between clothing purchase motives, self-concept, and post-purchase clothing satisfaction of males. Questionnaire was comprised of three sections: 25 Likert type statements of clothing purchase motive measure; post-purchase clothing satisfaction measure; and three self-concepts measure(physical, personal, and social self-concept). For the measurement of self-concepts, a portion of‘Self-Concept Scale’by Wonshik Chung was used. Samples were 312 male white collar workers in Seoul, whose age were ranged from 20 to 39. the data were analyzed using factor analysis, Cronbach's alpha reliability coefficient, Pearson's correlation coefficient, and multiple regression analysis. The results of the study were the followings: 1. Six factors of clothing purchase motives derived by factor analysis. 21 items having a factor loading of ± .40 or higher were given consideration in the interpretation of each factor: F.1‘clothing dsign’; F.2‘fashion and impulsive buying’, F.3‘clothing utility’; F.4‘others influence’: F.5‘financial margin’; F.6‘clothing’2. Male consumers perceived the purchase motive of‘clothing design’to be the most important,‘clothing deficiency’the second important, and‘others influence’the least important. 3. Physical, personal, and social self-concept had positive relations to the purchase motive of‘clothing design’and negative relations to the‘clothing deficiency’. Physical self-concept had negative relation to the motive of‘others influence’. 4. Male consumers high in physical, personal, and social self-concept had more positive attitude in the evaluation of post-purchase clothing satisfaction. 5. Post-purchase clothing satisfaction was influenced most by the purchase motive of‘clothing design’, and next by physical self-concept, and age. Age of subjects had negative relation to post-purchase clothing satisfaction. The explanatory power of the 3 variables was 19.9%.

The concept was extracted by subdividing on the basis of general and comprehensive core concepts. Third, the development process of concept map was developed and revised based on the extracted concepts, and the concept map developed was the 'clothing purchase plan', 'points to consider when buying clothing' 'quality', 'handle with care', 'classify laundry', 'remove stain', 'water washing', 'repair clothing', 'reform clothing', 'eco-friendly clothing life'.
According to the improvement in quality of life and the progress of user's taste in this modern society, people great deal with the symbolic meaning of product which express user's self-concept(image). Therefore, this kind of information of users' image is needed to deal importantly for the product design development processes, particularly, the early stage of design development such as the concept design development stage. But, there is not much analysis tools which deal qualitative data of users for the design development. From this reason, the supply of information of user's image through the development of verbal analysis method of user's self-concept will help a designer. For this purpose, this study not only developed the twenty-one factors in order to evaluate user's self-concept, but also suggested that the new approach method that can classify user's group within the same characteristic of user's image using the twenty-one developed verbal measurement items with tools of statistical analysis for the design direction of product. The developed this verbal analysis tool was testified through the case study in this research work.
