  • To reduce design period, demands for rapid prototyping system is increasing. Among the rapid prototyping system, as a concept modeler, 3D Printer appears before the footlights. In spite of short production time and convenience, 3D Printer causes post processing problem. And that is too slow to adapt to the demand of workshop. In this research, we developed a system for reducing build time and roughness using splitting operation. Also, propose BFS(B-rep For STL) data structure to maintain model data, split STL model and implement Euler Operation for input and output.

  • In this paper, we classify 3D printer technologies which are becoming a recent issue, and analyzed the features and limitations of the technology. As a result, we can see that there is no 3D printer technology that can produce a completely free-curved architectural structure. In order to construct a completely free-curved architectural structure with a 3D printer, it is necessary to draw up a new concept technique that complements the drawbacks of the two methods.

3D프린터 활용 체험형 STEAM 프로그램 개발 연구: '태양' 개념을 중심으로 (A Study on the Development of Experiential STEAM Program Based on Visual Impairment Using 3D Printer: Focusing on 'Sun' Concept)

  • 이 연구에서는 2015 개정 과학과 교육과정 중 '태양'에 관한 내용 요소를 중심으로, 3D 프린터를 활용한 체험형 STEAM(Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts & Mathematics) 프로그램을 개발하고, 이에 대한 효과성을 알아보고자 무선 표집된 2개의 중학교 77명의 학생들에게 이를 적용하여 창의적 문제해결력, STEAM 태도 및 수업만족도를 분석하였다. 이 연구의 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 3D프린터를 활용하여 태양촉각모델을 제작하고 시각장애 체험을 통해 학생들이 체험 위주의 적극적인 학습이 가능하도록 프로그램을 개발하였다. 둘째, STEAM 태도 검사의 사전·사후 점수 차에 의한 대응표본 t 검정에서는 '소통', '유용성·가치 인식' 구인을 제외한 '흥미', '배려', '자아 개념', '자아 효능감', '이공계 진로선택' 구인에서 유의미한 통계적 검정 결과(p< .05)를 얻었다. 셋째, 3D프린터 활용 시각장애 중심의 체험형 STEAM 프로그램 적용 후에 실시한 만족도 검사에서는 하위구인들의 평균값의 범위가 3.66 ~ 3.97로, 전반적으로 수업에 대한 긍정적인 반응을 나타내었다.

Analysis of Specific Problems in Laser Scanning Optical System Design

  • We analyze aberrations in an optical laser printer system in order to know how to determine an allowable non-uniformity of the movement of a light spot, how to determine allowed variation of spot sizes, and how to minimize the influence of these deviations on technological errors. In this paper, the correction and the tolerance of distortion are analyzed by using the concept of zonal and global distortions. The tolerance of field curvature is also obtained from Gaussian beam properties. In order to reduce the change of the entrance pupil position and to make a more compact laser printer system the minimum size of the rotator is exactly derived from the geometry with the introduction of the shift angle of the input beam.

  • 오픈소스가 소프트웨어의 영역을 넘어 그 개념이 여러 분야로 확장되어감에 따라 여러 기업들이 오픈소스 개념을 이용한 비즈니스 모델을 등장시키고 있다. 본 연구는 3D프린터를 활용한 웹 기반 오픈소스 플랫폼 제작 방안에 관한 연구로서 키덜트 문화를 접목시킨 사용자의 자발적 참여도가 높은 오픈소스 플랫폼 커뮤니티 제작을 목표로 한다. 연구방법으로는 여러 기업의 오픈소스 활용 사례에 관한 분석 연구와 더불어 키덜트 커뮤니티의 사용자 설문을 통해 플랫폼의 사용성과 토이 디자인 선호도 및 성향 분석을 기반으로 한 기초 자료 수집을 통하여 초기 플랫폼 제작 방향성을 설정하였다. 제작된 플랫폼에서 고유의 플랫폼 토이 소스를 다운로드 후 사용자가 자유롭게 재해석하고 플랫폼에 결과물을 재공유하여 완성된 디자인의 선호도에 따라 판매하여 수익을 분배할 수 있도록 하는 것이 특징이다. 향후 플랫폼 내 커뮤니티를 활성화하여 사용자의 진입동기부여를 높이는 연구가 지속하여야 할 것이다.

패션쇼를 위한 3D 프린팅 의상 디자인 개발 연구 (A Study on the Development of 3D printed garments for Fashion Show)

  • This study develops 3D-printed-garment collections for a fashion show presentation. A design concept using traditional patterns that consisted of garments regarding the limitation of the printing technology was investigated in order to develop the collection. The structures of the connecting joints of the textile parts which could be easily and sturdily interconnected were invented. Wearability as garments that could be naturally worn on the human body were sought. As a result, four 3D-printed-garments were developed. The 1st garment composed of objects based on a 'Yeon-Dang-Cho'-pattern was constructed as a geometric robe style using a FDM 3D printer and transparent TPU filaments. The 2nd and 3rd 3D-printed-garments composed of an object based on a 'Boe-Sang-Hwa'-pattern was constructed as a distorted one-piece exaggerating the silhouettes of shoulders and waist parts as well as a straight asymmetric tunic style that used the same printer and material as the 1st garment. The last garment composed of an object based on a 'Boe-Sang-Hwa'-pattern printed using a SLA 3D printer and flexible-liquid-resin was constructed attaching the objects on the fabric material by the hot-press machine. The four developed garments were presented in the opening fashion show of 'the 6th International 3D-printing Korea Expo'. This study provides a basic case for related studies to adapt 3D-printing technology in textile pattern development of garment construction.

  • Recently, roll-to-roll printers are being developed actively by various research teams such as research institutes, universities and companies for the application of printed electronics. The printing methods that are widely used in the roll-to-roll printing equipments are gravure, gravure and flexo, which depend on the inks used and electronic devices produced. In general, a single printing unit of roll-to-roll printing equipment adopts only one printing method and this method is not changeable, which limits the application fields of the developed printing equipments. In this paper, the roll-to-roll printer, in which the printing unit has the novel design concept, is described.

  • Digital designs that appear in the three-dimensional virtual space by the digital type are designed as there is not an image created with an organic artificially generated (Creation) and representation (Modifying), developed by the specific environment given. The advanced digital design will produce a result with an algorithm according to a mathematical operation and the environment and has the nature of generating the real world, changes, development and affinity (Genetic Process). The digital design process is largely defined by a set of processes that are consistently designed to integrate form of creation, reproduction, proceeds in three steps, while the manufacture and assembly as a form of maintenance as possible the intended form of control data from the concept of building. By Joris Laarman 3D printer design is a simulation created by the digital process by the various algorithms and design achieved through the development of 3D printers, such as new materials and MX3D. From the mold production of a complex whole by using a robot and other digital production tool extracts a variety of forms.

  • 멀티-도메인 공학시스템은 전기, 기계, 유압, 열등의 구성요소를 포함하고, 시스템 구성이 복잡하여 설계에 많은 어려움을 가지고 있다. 최적의 설계를 위해서는 각 도메인에 대한 통합된 설계 방법과 자동적이고 효율적인 탐색방법이 요구된다. 본 논문은 도메인에 독립적인 모델링 도구인 본드 그래프(Bond Graph)와 대규모 공간 해의 탐색에 접합한 진화 알고리즘의 일종인 유전 프로그래밍(Genetic Programming)를 결합하여 멀티 도메인 동적시스템에 대한 디자인 해를 자동적으로 생성해주는 설계 방법을 제시하였다. 제안된 설계방법의 효용성을 입증하기 위해서 3가지 서로 다른 도메인을 가진 아나로그 필터, 전동프린터 드라이브, 에어펌프 시스템에 대한 설계 결과가 기술된다.

개인사물함 손잡이 디자인개발 연구 (A Study on Developing the Designs of Handle for Personal Locker)

  • The aim of this study is to develop and suggest the handle for lockers according to the design process which are used for keeping of student's personal stuffs such as books, writing implements and gym uniform in elementary, middle and high school and university as well. This includes the design development for ILGUMTUR which is specialized for office furniture, but does not own the intellectual property right yet. The design concept based on the domestic locker market survey is recessed handle at low- to intermediate price and it's material should be plastic what is solid and light. The lock system should be constructed by molding process and the name plate can be exchanged every time the owner of locker changes. Contrary to the right angle of it's external appearance, the handle of the locker is designed to be softly round and the simplicity is pursued for an easy production. On the basis of this design concept the sketch has been drawn and upgraded in full by 3D-rendering. Then the mock-up has been completed by 3D printer and ILGUMTUR has obtained a patent for the locking system based on the rotation of 2 circles.
