  • Vertigo is one of the most common complaints encountered by physicians and the patients are steadily increasing. These patients are exposed to the risk of secondary accidents such as falls due to vertigo. There are two ways to improve this symptom: medication and rehabilitation. Although temporary symptomatic improvement may be expected in patients treated with medication, vertigo may recur and medication can delay central compensation. In contrast vestibular rehabilitation exploits central mechanisms of neuroplasticity to increase postural stability and enhance visual-vestibular interactions in situations that generate conflicting sensory information. However, vestibular rehabilitation may be compromised by incorrect performance of exercises, and there is a need for active effort and interest from the patient during rehabilitation. To solve these problems, we decided to apply FOVE HMD for eye-tracking and Unity3D to create virtual reality. The proposed eye-tracking based algorithm calculates the concentration of users with eye tracking data and calculates the motion width of the patient with nystagmus, thus the severity of the patient according to the score can be determined. According to our experimental test against healty group and patients group, this result showed the meaningful data to use define the contents result.

  • Effects of carbon black species and concentration on the mechanical and electrical properties of alumina trihydrate filled EPDM compounds were investigated. Mechanical properties improved with increasing carbon black concentration, and these effects were prominent in carbon blacks haying large specific area. In the case of non-conductive carbon black. tracking resistance improved when a small amount of carbon black was added to EPDM. Conductive carbon black showed detrimental effect to dielectric losses, volume resistivity and tracking resistance of EPDM compound.

  • The conventional tracking testing as IEC-60587 is widely used in surface aging measurement of outdoor insulator because those testing can carry out very short time in Lab-testing. Also IEC-60587 testing is able to offer the standard judgement of relative degradation level of outdoor HV machine/system. Therefore it is very useful method compare to previous conventional tracking testing method and effective Lab-testing method. But surface discharges(SD) have very complex characteristics of discharge pattern so it is required estimation research to development of precise analysis method. In recent, the study of IRR-camera is carrying out discover of temperature of power equipment through condition diagnosis and system development of degradation diagnosis. In this study, SD occurred from procelain insulator, used 22.9[KV] distribution, is measured with partial temperature distribution in real time, the degradation grade of SD is analyzed through produced patterns in SD concentration according to applied time.

  • Gordon Cullen, who tried to understand urban landscapes in terms of visual attention, introduced a concept called 'Space and Infinity' in his book 'Townscape'. According to him, urban images like infinity spreading across the sky are more effectively created when we happen to see an open space while walking along a ground-level street than when we look at the sky. This study aims to quantitatively examine if urban observers pay more attention to spaces like pilotis on the bottom of a building. Thus, this study collected observers on actual urban landscape images and partially-edited images and conducted an experiment by adopting Eye-movement Tracking to find out if they actually pay more visual attention to a space like pilotis. This study selected a total of 50 people as research subjects and divided them into two groups. Image 1 was shown to one group, and Image 2 with the pilotis space edited was shown to the other group. As an experiment to find objective evidences on Gordon Cullen's 'Space and Infinity', this study analyzed difference between Image 1 and Image 2, and it was found that the domain of pilotis showed a value five times higher than the average visual attention since it attracted much visual attention although it was very small in area. That is, it has objectively clarified that people get most fascinated with a place with infinite images in the background like a pilotis space out of all the urban landscapes as Gordon Cullen's theory. In addition, the differences in visual concentration of pilotis space by sex, by subject was examined, and there was no significant difference in visual concentration of pilotis space by gender. As a result of examining the difference of visual concentration by classifying the subjects into architectural related major, the major group showed higher frequency of viewing than the non - major group.

  • As unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) technology grew in popularity over the years, it was introduced for air quality monitoring. This can easily be used to estimate the sidewalk emission concentration by calculating road traffic emission factors of different vehicle types. These calculations require a simulation of the spread of pollutants from one or more sources given for estimation. For this purpose, a Gaussian plume dispersion model was developed based on the US EPA Motor Vehicle Emissions Simulator (MOVES), which provides an accurate estimate of fuel consumption and pollutant emissions from vehicles under a wide range of user-defined conditions. This paper describes a methodology for estimating emission concentration on the sidewalk emitted by different types of vehicles. This line source considers vehicle parameters, wind speed and direction, and pollutant concentration using a UAV equipped with a monocular camera. All were sampled over an hourly interval. In this article, the YOLOv5 deep learning model is developed, vehicle tracking is used through Deep SORT (Simple Online and Realtime Tracking), vehicle localization using a homography transformation matrix to locate each vehicle and calculate the parameters of speed and acceleration, and ultimately a Gaussian plume dispersion model was developed to estimate the CO, NOx concentrations at a sidewalk point. The results demonstrate that these estimated pollutants values are good to give a fast and reasonable indication for any near road receptor point using a cheap UAV without installing air monitoring stations along the road.

  • This study is to analyze the concentration of visual perception of the subject through the eye-tracking experiments targeting popular characters and to investigate it is effective to highlight which part of the character in inducing consumers' interest and curiosity. As a result of the study, the subjects paid more attention to the face than the character's body, and also noted a little attention to auxiliary elements such as pants, tees, shoes, and whiskers. These results mean there is clearly different factor in which the subject's gaze on the character frequently stays and does for a long time. Therefore, the designers should recognize the differences of the concentration of visual perception by character components as a differentiating factor to feel the emotional satisfaction such as the user's interest, empathy, and immersion in the character and actively reflect it when developing the character design. In addition, there was a difference in the visual perception concentration of each of the auxiliary elements, and if careful research is done on whether the influence factors are also due to individual characteristics or another influential factors, it will be a wider study on character design.

  • The quality of chaotic mixing in square cavity flow was studied numerically by CFD simulation and particle tracking technique. The chaotic mixing was generated by using time-periodic electro-osmotic flow. Finite Volume Method (FVM) was employed to get the stretching and folding field in cavity domain. With adjusting the initial condition of concentration distribution, the best values of modulation period and Peclet number which gave us good mixing performance was determined precisely. From $Poicar{\acute{e}}section$and Lyapunov exponents for characteristic trajectories we find that mixing performance also depends on modulation period. The higher value of modulation period, the better mixing performance wag achieved in this case. Furthermore, the results for tracking particle trajectories were also compared between using of Bilinear Interpolation and Higher-order scheme. The values of modulation period for obtaining best mixing effect were matched between using FVM and particle tracking techniques.

  • Injection of microbubbles within the turbulent boundary layer has been investigated for several years as a method to achieve drag reduction. However, the physical mechanism of this phenomenon is not yet fully understood. Experiments in a channel flow for single phase (water) and two phase (water and microbubbles) flows with various void fraction values are studied for a Reynolds number of 5128 based on the half height of the channel and bulk velocity. The state-of-the art Particle Tracking Velocimetry (PTV) measurement technique is used to measure the instantaneous full-field velocity components. Comparisons between turbulent statistical quantities with various values of local void fraction are presented to elucidate the influence of the microbubbles presence within the boundary layer. A decrease in the Reynolds stress distribution and turbulence production is obtained with the increase of microbubble concentration. The results obtained indicate a decorrelation of the streamwise and normal fluctuating velocities when microbubbles are injected within the boundary layer.

  • The numerical experiments using a particle tracking model have been performed for predicting the change of water Quality and shoreline. In present study, comparison of the numerical model results with the analytic solution shows that the point of the mainmum concentration and the distribution pattern is very similar. The reflection effect from the boundary was newly Introduced for making clear the effect of the closed boundary which set limits to application of a particle tracking model. The present model seems to reappear physical phenomenon well. This model shows well qualitative appearance of pollutant diffusion in Kwangan beach. Therefore, this model is regarded as a useful means for predicting diffusion movement of suspended sand, and change of water quality.

  • The digital HPTV(holographic particle tracking velocimetry) velocity field measurement system consists of four steps: recording, numerical reconstruction, particle extraction and velocity extraction. In the velocity extraction process, we improved the two frame PTV algorithm to extract 3-D displacement information of each particle located in 3D space. Because a digital CCD camera was used, some factors such as spatial resolution, numerical aperture, and particle concentration influenced on the performance of the developed digital HPTV. Especially, the particle concentration $(C_o)$ affected the reconstruction efficiency and recovery ratio in the numerical reconstruction and particle extraction procedure. In this paper, the effect of particle concentration reconstruction efficiency and recovery ratio were analyzed experimentally. Optimal particle concentration was found to be in the range of $C_o=11{\sim}17\;particles/mm^3$.
