  • Computerized simulation is becoming an indispensable procedure in the stage of planning, design, and operation of railway systems. This paper presents result of simulation technique for describing electrical performance of the power supply system which comprises the substation, catenary, feeder, and rails where multiple trains are running.

  • A digital X-ray system was developed using photo-diode arrays. Images were collected with 1,024x1,024x10 bit resolution and 0.5 sec acquisition time. An4 collected images were processed and restored using computer algorithms. For the normal and the patient, we obtained the digital X-ray images using the developed system.

  • This study aims to systematize the needs of each area for computerized production management of small- and medium-sized firms and establish the basic design background of their common database. For this purpose, we surveyed the status, needs and appliable characteristics of the firms production system by the categories of industry, size and production type. On the base of these surveys the basic design concept and contents of automatic production system for small and medium-sized firms are proposed.

  • To systematic maintenance and record 10,000 port structures, under Ministry of Maritime and Fisheries, data base management system is required. In this study, POMIS(Port Maintenance and Information System) program is developed for this Purpose. In this program, records for inspection and repair for the various type of port structures can be maintained and operated through internet. Thus ministry can efficiently maintenance and repair port structures and systematically manage computerized maintenance and repair data.

  • Recently, the application of construction IT (Information Technology) is recognized as an essential tool for the effective construction management and construction CALS. And the large construction projects are already using PMIS tool, and the application of construction IT tool will be accelerated by rapid popularization of computerized construction management system. This study defines a concept of construction IT and suggests an improved method to apply construction IT tool for construction supervision system.

  • In Factory, as the number of machine is increased the more maintenance efforts are necessary. Multi maintenance issues may occur at a certain time and the determination of maintenance sequence is needed. In this study, we first compare the priority of machines and the impact value using modified FMEA(Failure Mode Effect and Analysis) method. Also, CBR(Case-based Reasoning) approach is applied to retrieve similar fault cases of current machine problem. The proposed methodology will be useful to implement decision support system of maintenance sequence for CMMS/EAM (Computerized Maintenance Management System/Enterprise Asset Management).

  • 70년대 사식 시스템을 신문 제작에 도입한 이후 CTS(Computerized Typesetting System)에는 많은 변화와 발전이 있어 왔다. CTS는 HT(Hot Plate Type)방식에 비해 제작 시간의 단축, 레이아웃 다양화, 편집 모양의 자유로운 변경, 공해 요인의 제거등 많은 장점을 제공한다. 그러나, 신문은 경쟁 매체의 등장, 이윤 추구라는 경제 원리의 확대등 새로운상황에 직면해 있으며, 이를 교열부의 축소 및 페지를 통한 경비 절감과 신속한 지면 제작을 위한 편집자 직접 조판으로 해결하고자 한다. 본 논문은 편집자 직접 조판을 위한 기본요건과 기술 마크업에 근거한 CTS의 설계에 대하여 기술한다.
