Based on a sample of corporations which have used E-mail at least three years, we found (1) no difference in the usage of E-mail depending on task analyzability, and (2) the usage of E-mail in the high analyzability group correlated more strongerly than in the low analyzability group with performance. A future study would be researched on the usage between computer-based communication media with other variables such as social influence.

Previous studies on user training have largely focused on assessing models which describe the determinants of information technology usage or examined the effects of training on user satisfaction, productivity, performance, and so on. Scant research efforts have been made, however, to examine those effects of training by using theoretical models. This study presented a conceptual model to predict intention to use information technology and conducted an experiment to understand how training for computer skill acquisition affects primary variables of the model. The data were obtained from 32 student subjects of an experimental group and 31 students of a control group, and the information technology employed for this study was a university's electronic mail system. The study results revealed that attitude toward usage and perceived behavioral control helped to predict user intentions; outcome expectations were positively related to attitude toward usage; and self - efficacy and perceived behavioral control. The changes in those variables suggest more causal effects of user training than other survey studies.

This paper investigates the issue of performance testing on web browsing environments. Among the typical non-functional characteristics, index of link validity will be deeply explored. A framework to certify link correctness in web site is proposed. All possible navigation paths are first formulated to represent a usage model with the Markov chain property, which is then used to generate test script file statistically. With collecting any existing failure information followed by tracing these testing browsed paths, certification analysis may be performed by applying Markov chain theory. The certification result will yield some significant information such as: test coverage, reliability measure, confidence interval, etc. The proposed mechanism may provide not only completed but also systemic methodologies to find any linking errors and other web technologies errors. Besides, an actual practice of the proposed approach to a web-based system will be demonstrated quantitatively through a certification tool.

This paper examines whether there exists discrimination of the information usage pattern between tenants of permanent and temporary public rental housing in Korea. Moreover, we focus to examine on that matters between two groups, $7{\sim}12$ pyeongs and $11{\sim}24$ pyeongs that indicate permanent and temporary public rental housing respectively. The results derived in this paper can be summarized as follows: there exists statistical significance in using computer, internet, communication and broadcasting, on the other hand, insignificance in using satellite communication and telephone between them. The implication of this results shows that as widen income gap, also widen gaps in using computer and internet between them. Thus government public rental housing policy should focus to make narrow income gap to diminish information gap between those groups.

We reported researches of possibility of the usage of known electrooptical effects (EOE) for diffractive displays (DLCD). We found different EOEs provide the possibility of broad selection of steepness of volt-contrast characteristics at rather large steep of modulation without the usage polarizes. The data are represented much promising for broad development DLCDs.

Among the techniques to protect private information by adopting biometrics, speaker verification is expected to be widely used due to advantages in convenient usage and inexpensive implementation cost Speaker verification should achieve a high degree of the reliability in the verification nout the flexibility in speech text usage, and the efficiency in verification system complexity. Continuants have excellent speaker-discriminant power and the modest number of phonemes in the category, and multilayer perceptrons (MLPs) have superior recognition ability and fast operation speed. In consequence, the two provide viable ways for speaker verification system to obtain the above properties. This paper implements a system to which continuants and MLPs are applied, and evaluates the system using a Korean speech database. The results of the experiment prove that continuants and MLPs enable the system to acquire the three properties.

공동 주거공간에서 생활하는 사람들은 세탁기를 공동으로 사용해야 하는데, 규칙이 엄격하게 정해져 있지 않으면 본인이 원하는 시간에 사용하기 힘들다. 본 논문에서는 이러한 문제점을 해소하고자 개발한 세탁기 예약 및 실시간 이용 현황 조회 웹사이트의 연구 내용을 기록하였다. 개발된 사이트를 통해 사용자는 예약을 하여 원하는 시간에 해당 시설을 이용할 수 있다. 또한 실시간으로 사용 현황을 조회함으로써 본인의 사용 순서를 명확하게 인지할 수 있으며 결과적으로 시간을 절약할 수 있다.
