The purpose of this study was to explore the nine components of computational thinking (CT) practices and their operational definitions from the view of science education and to develop a CT practice framework that is going to be used as a planning and assessing tool for CT practice, as it is required for students to equip with in order to become creative problem solvers in $21^{st}$ century. We employed this framework into the earlier developed STEAM programs to see how it was valid and reliable. We first reviewed theoretical articles about CT from computer science and technology education field. We then proposed 9 components of CT as defined in technology education but modified operational definitions in each component from the perspective of science education. This preliminary CTPF (computational thinking practice framework) from the viewpoint of science education consisting of 9 components including data collection, data analysis, data representation, decomposing, abstraction, algorithm and procedures, automation, simulation, and parallelization. We discussed each component with operational definition to check if those components were useful in and applicable for science programs. We employed this CTPF into two different topics of STEAM programs to see if those components were observable with operational definitions. The profile of CT components within the selected STEAM programs for this study showed one sequential spectrum covering from data collection to simulation as the grade level went higher. The first three data related CT components were dominating at elementary level, all components of CT except parallelization were found at middle school level, and finally more frequencies in every component of CT except parallelization were also found at high school level than middle school level. On the basis of the result of CT usage in STEAM programs, we included 'generalization' in CTPF of science education instead of 'parallelization' which was not found. The implication about teacher education was made based on the CTPF in terms of science education.

UAS(Unmanned Aircraft System) has been used a lot in military applications but recently its usage is expanding to commercial applications due to its recent technical development and its market is expected to grow rapidly in the future. In hyper-connectivity society, especially UAS would play major role as an one of potential infrastructures for the architecture of the next 5G system. The ultimate goal is the successful integration of UAS in NAS(National Airspace System) relies heavily on ensuring reliable spectrum for the robust CNPC(Command and Non-Payload Communication) links as well as payload links for other various applications in the upcoming hyper-connectivity era. In this paper, we have focused on the analysis of the existing frequencies for UAS radio-control and the current issues for CNPC and payload frequencies, and proposed future efficient utilization policy for UAS in the hyper-connectivity society.
For the purposes of participation in research projects, living in a laboratory has become popular among male university students who tend to have less opportunity for nutrition education and overestimate their own health, suggesting possibilities of many undesirable practices of lifestyle and dietary habits. Therefore, this study was conducted to investigate and compare health-related lifestyle practices, dietary habits, nutrition knowledge, food preference and dietary behaviors of the male university students according to residence type. The subjects were 260 (34, 15, 44, and 167, respectively for lab-living, self-boarding, dormitory and commuting) male engineering majors in the Gyeonggi area. Self-administered questionnaires consisted of general characteristics, health-related lifestyle practices, dietary habits, fast food consumption, nutrition knowledge, preference for foods and tastes, and self-examination of dietary behaviors. Lab-living subjects showed many undesirable practices, particularly with more smokers (p < 0.05), irregular eating (p < 0.01), overeating (p < 0.05) and skipping breakfast (p < 0.01), compared to the dormitory students and more time in computer/TV usage (p < 0.05), overeating (p < 0.05), more frequent use of fast-food (p < 0.05), less nutrition knowledge (p < 0.01) and less intake of milk/dairy products (p < 0.01) and fruits (p < 0.01), compared to commuting subjects. More smokers (p < 0.05) and irregular (p < 0.01) and unrelaxed meal times (p < 0.05), compared to the dormitory group, and less intake of fruits (p < 0.01) and dietary fiber (p < 0.01), compared to the commuting group were shown as undesirable practices of the self-boarding group. Therefore, continuous effort should be made to correct undesirable health- and diet-related practices found in this study in order to improve nutritional status as well as general health by developing a nutrition education program and contents of lectures focusing on more specific problems according to each subgroup such as lab-living and self-boarding male university students.
This paper predict user acceptance of smart clothing. The present research develops and validates new products for smart clothing. Studies suggest that further analysis of the process be undertaken to better establish properties for smart clothing, underlying structures and stability over innovative technologies. The findings reported in this paper should be useful methods which identify user needs. such findings in now provide a way to explain technology acceptance. Both of qualitative and quantitative methods, were applied to this study in order to find out user needs for smart clothing. We are writing scenarios and conducting both focused group interviews and a survey to assess the user's interest. The purpose of the survey is to evaluate the importance of the functions and to evaluate the degree of the participant's feeling and attitude. Furthermore, we explore the nature and specific influences of factors that may affect the user perception and usage.

Wi-Fi-enabled portable devices have recently been introduced into the consumer electronics market. These devices download or upload content, from or to a host machine, such as a personal computer, a laptop, a home gateway, or a media server. This paper investigates the fairness among multiple Wi-Fi-enabled portable devices in a home network when they are simultaneously communicated with the host machine. First, we present that, a simple IEEE 802.11-based home network suffers from unfairness, and the fairness is exaggerated by the wireless link errors. This unfairness is due to the asymmetric response of the TCP to data-packet loss and to acknowledgment-packet loss, and the wireless link errors that occur in the proximity of any node; the errors affect other wireless devices through the interaction at the interface queue of the home gateway. We propose a QoS-provisioning framework in order to achieve per-device fairness and service differentiation. For this purpose, we introduce the medium access price, which denotes an aggregate value of network-wide traffic load, per-device link usage, and per-device link error rate. We implemented the proposed framework in the ns-2 simulator, and carried out a simulation study to evaluate its performance with respect to fairness, service differentiation, loss and delay. The simulation results indicate that the proposed method enforces the per-device fairness, regardless of the number of devices present and regardless of the level of wireless link errors; furthermore it achieves high link utilization with only a small amount of frame losses.
With the wide usage of LiDAR data and high-resolution satellite image, 3D modeling of buildings in urban areas has become an important research topic in the photogrammetry and computer vision field for many years. However the previous modeling has its limitations of merely texturing the image to the DSM surface of the study area and does not represent the relief of building surfaces. This study is focused on presenting a system of realistic 3D building modeling from consecutive stereo image sequences using digital camera. Generally when acquiring images through camera, various parameters such as zooming, focus, and attitude are necessary to extract accurate results, which in certain cases, some parameters have to be rectified. It is, however, not always possible or practical to precisely estimate or rectify the information of camera positions or attitudes. In this research, we constructed the collinearity condition of stereo images through extracting the distinctive points from stereo image sequence. In addition, we executed image matching with Graph Cut method, which has a very high accuracy. This system successfully performed the realistic modeling of building with a good visual quality. From the study, we concluded that 3D building modeling of city area could be acquired more realistically.

The occurrences of occupational illness and injury have been seriously underestimated in Korea. Surveillance systems for occupational diseases have recently emerged as important strategies for the control of occupational hazards and the implementation of intervention programs to protect workers. However, health service providers do not actively diagnose occupational diseases and are unwilling to report occupational diseases. With the rapid growth of Internet usage in Korea, the computer network has become the predominant means of communicating and sharing information. Therefore, we developed a web-based updated information and education network to assist the health services providers in reporting occupational diseases. Information systems for occupational disease surveillance were also designed to support occupational disease reporting. Commonly available database systems, such as web databases, are useful to manage occupational diseases data efficiently. Standardized case definitions and report guidelines were also established, which included cumulative trauma disorder, occupational asthma, occupational contact dermatitis, and occupational cancer. This system may provide the basis of an efficient and continuously updated source of educational information and provide specific information concerning the occurrence of occupational diseases in specific areas. Background information on occupational diseases obtained in this way will be invaluable for preventing hazards and enforcing occupational disease prevention programs. Moreover, our experiences in establishing these information systems will be of great use in other countries and settings.
Today, multimedia information is used on the internet and various social areas by rapid development of computer and communication technology. Therefor, the usage is growing dramatically. Multimedia information analysis system is basically based on text. So, there are many difficult problems like expressing ambiguity of multimedia information, excessive burden of works in appending notes and a lack of objectivity. In this study, we suggest a method which uses color and shape information of multimedia image partitions efficiently analyze a large amount of multimedia information. Partitions use field growth and union method. To extract color information, we use distinctive information which matches with a representative color from converting process from RGB(Red Green Blue) to HSI(Hue Saturation Intensity). Also, we use IMI(Improved Moment Invariants) which target to only outline pixels of an object and execute computing as shape information.

This paper is related to the access to the control platform who manages their resources on the virtual environment. The computing performance of hardware supersedes the computing performance human demands. In this case, making the platform on the virtual computing environment has been developed for the usage of computing resource's residues which is available. This virtual computing environment is quite similar with the real environment in aspect of some functions but is quite different with that in aspect of the real configurations. This paper found that the virtual computing environment has another problems besides the problems the real computer might be happening. This paper found that the virtual environment needs the proper control platform. This paper will suggest a control platform for managing the virtual computing environment properly.

Since the introduction of digital camera to the mass market, the number of digital photos owned by an individual is growing at an alarming rate. This phenomenon naturally leads to the issues of difficulties while searching and browsing in the personal digital photo archive. Traditional approach typically involves content-based image retrieval using computer vision algorithms. However, due to the performance limitations of these algorithms, at least on the casual digital photos taken by non-professional photographers, more recent approaches are centered on time-based clustering algorithms, analyzing the shot times of photos. These time-based clustering algorithms are based on the insight that when these photos are clustered according to the shot-time similarity, we have "event clusters" that will help the user browse through her photo archive. It is also reported that one of the remaining problems with the time-based approach is that people perceive events in different scales. In this paper, we present an adaptive time-based clustering algorithm that exploits the usage history of digital photos in order to infer the user's preference on the event granularity. Experiments show significant performance improvements in the clustering accuracy.
