A Study on the Effect of Professionality of Franchise Education Program on the Satisfaction, Work Efficiency and Business Performance

  • In this paper, We analyze the effect of professionality of franchise education program on the satisfaction, work efficiency and business performance, to find how to develop education program which is considered as important in franchise management and to propose ways of sustainable operation of franchise education program. In this study, we carried out survey for 224 users who have competed franchise education programs. We divided the professionality of franchise education program into education instructors, education contents, education environment and education methods through precedent study. For the verification of study hypothesis, we used single regression and multiple regression analysis to verify the relationship between variables. The core study results are as follows. First, professionality of franchise education program is positively related to the satisfaction. Second, professionality of franchise education is positively related to work efficiency. Third, satisfaction affects work efficiency. Fourth, satisfaction and work efficiency have positive effect on business performance. Based on these study results, we found that if education program suitable for the industry and subjects from instructors to education method is developed to improve the professionality of franchise program and continuous communication and improvement is made to increase satisfaction and work efficiency, the franchise education program will create good results.

  • 사회과에서는 학생들이 주제를 정해 스스로 계획을 세워 조사하고, 사회를 탐구해 가며 조사 보고서를 정리해가는 능력을 중요시 여겨왔다. 따라서 교육 현장에서 가장 많이 사용되는 사회과 수행평가 방법도 조사 보고서 방법이다. 하지만 대부분의 학습자들은 '보고서를 작성해오라'는 지시를 받고 뚜렷한 목표나 체계적인 형식 없이 보고서를 작성하고, 교사에게 제출한 후 학기말 평가 결과만을 일방향적으로 통보 받아왔다. 이에 본 연구는 정적인 텍스트 위주의 보고서 형식에서 벗어나 웹에서 효율적이고 평가의 질을 높일 수 있는 웹 기반 수행평가 시스템을 설계하였다.

  • 현재 과학과 수행평가는 교사평가가 주를 이루고 있기 때문에 평가 결과의 피드백이 신속하게 이루어지지 못하고, 동료평가가 거의 이루어지지 않는다는 문제점이 있다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 웹의 장점을 이용하여 인터넷 상의 다양한 자료를 보고서 작성에 이용할 수 있고 동료평가와 교사평가를 동시에 시행할 수 있는 웹 기반 과학 보고서 수행 평가 시스템을 설계하였다. 이 시스템의 흐름은 교사의 평가 과제 제출을 시작으로 학생들이 각자 다양한 정보를 수집하여 보고서를 작성하며 작성된 보고서를 동료 및 교사가 일정한 평가 기준에 의거하여 평가한 후, 학습자에게 평가 결과를 피드백하는 것으로 설계되었다. 이러한 시스템을 통해 교사의 업무 부담 경감은 물론, 학습자의 학습 의욕과 성취도 향상을 기대할 수 있다.

Robust Real-time Detection of Abandoned Objects using a Dual Background Model

  • Detection of abandoned objects for smart video surveillance should be robust and accurate in various situations with low computational costs. This paper presents a new algorithm for abandoned object detection based on the dual background model. Through the template registration of a candidate stationary object and presence authentication methods presented in this paper, we can handle some complex cases such as occlusions, illumination changes, long-term abandonment, and owner's re-attendance as well as general detection of abandoned objects. The proposed algorithm also analyzes video frames at specific intervals rather than consecutive video frames to reduce the computational overhead. For performance evaluation, we experimented with the algorithm using the well-known PETS2006, ABODA datasets, and our video dataset in a live streaming environment, which shows that the proposed algorithm works well in various situations.

  • 현재 Ubiquitous기술의 핵심인 RFID 기술은 다양한 분야에서 이를 활용하기 위한 연구들이 활발히 진행 되고 있다. 그러나 RFID 시스템은 구조상 무선으로 동작 되는 불안정한 구간이 있으며 이 구간 사이의 EPC 데이터를 수집, Filtering, 분석 등으로 수많은 EPC데이터가 저장되며 이를 필요로 하는 곳에 제공하게 된다. 본 논문은 EPCglobal의 표준을 따른 EPCIS를 위한 RFID 성능 향상 방안을 제안 한다. 제안을 바탕으로 구현 할 때 Tag의 EPC 데이터 신뢰성은 향상되며 데이터베이스의 저장 공간의 불필요 사용을 줄일 수 있으며 개선된 EPCIS를 구현할 수 있는 시스템 이다.

  • When the present Learning System for Computer-Related Subjects Using WBI is implemented on the Web with the above characteristics to help students to study computer subjects without any limitations of time or space, they can easily attain the goals of learning, have computer-utilizing abilities or information capacity, and enhance their capabilities for self-initiative learning. This system enables the learners to carry out 'plan-do-see' for the contents of learning initiatively. The learners can study the practice part of the curriculum using multi-media, such as motion pictures, voices, images, and sound effects, vividly with a sense of actual presence. It helps the students to have an active attitude toward leaning afterward. without meeting the teacher or without any storage media, the leaners can submit their assignments or materials for performance evaluation via the Internet.

A single-phase algorithm for mining high utility itemsets using compressed tree structures

  • Mining high utility itemsets (HUIs) from transaction databases considers such factors as the unit profit and quantity of purchased items. Two-phase tree-based algorithms transform a database into compressed tree structures and generate candidate patterns through a recursive pattern-growth procedure. This procedure requires a lot of memory and time to construct conditional pattern trees. To address this issue, this study employs two compressed tree structures, namely, Utility Count Tree and String Utility Tree, to enumerate valid patterns and thus promote fast utility computation. Furthermore, the study presents an algorithm called single-phase utility computation (SPUC) that leverages these two tree structures to mine HUIs in a single phase by incorporating novel pruning strategies. Experiments conducted on both real and synthetic datasets demonstrate the superior performance of SPUC compared with IHUP, UP-Growth, and UP-Growth+algorithms.

  • GPGPU(General Purpose Graphics Processing Unit) 병렬처리 시스템인 CUDA(Compute Unified Device Architecture)는 컴퓨터에서의 고속 연산 처리를 위해 많이 사용되어왔다. CUDA에서 연산 처리를 하기 위해서는 CUDA의 특성을 이해해야 한다. CUDA는 CPU(Central Processing Unit)가 처리하는 Host 영역과 GPU(Graphics Processing Unit)가 처리하는 영역인 Device 영역이 존재하며, 이 두 영역간의 데이터 복사를 통해 연산 처리를 진행한다. 이런 구조적인 특성상 메인 메모리에서 GPU 메모리로 입력 데이터를 전달해야 GPU를 이용해 연산을 처리할 수 있는 구조를 가지고 있다. 하지만 이러한 처리 구조로 인해 연산 시간과 별도로 메인 메모리와 GPU 메모리간의 데이터 복사시간이 존재하며, 추가적으로 발생하는 메모리 복사 시간으로 인해 오버헤드가 발생하게 된다. 본 논문에서는 실험을 통해 메모리 복사 시간, 연산의 반복 횟수 그리고 연산의 복잡성이 전체 성능에 어떤 영향을 미치는지 논하고자 한다.

  • In this paper, we introduce a web-based scheduling toolkit(GridTool2), which can run simulation of scheduling algorithm in grid system. And we suggest new algorithms which apply additional communication costs to the existing MinMin and Suffrage scheduling algorithms. Since GridTool2 runs in web environment using server and database, it does not require a separate compiler or runtime environment. The GridTool2 allows variables such as communication costs on the web for performance evaluation, and shows simulation results on the web page. The new algorithm with communication costs was tested using GridTool2 to check for performance improvements. The results revealed that the new algorithm showed better performance as more workloads were incorporated to the system.

  • The purpose of the study was to examine the correlations between team cognition and team process and team performance in e-learning based team learning environment. 55 graduate students consisting of 11 teams participated in the study voluntarily during the spring semester. In the result, it was found that team cognition had no relationship with team process and performance although sub-variables of team cognition and team process as well as team performance had a significant relation with each other. Some further research issues were addressed in terms of team leadership and potential variables affecting each variables.
