Computer Controlled Local Anesthesia Delivery: Literature Review (컴퓨터를 이용한 속도 조절형 치과 국소마취 기구: 문헌고찰)

  • Background: Today, there are computer controlled local anesthesia devices used clinically. The main principle is to control injection speed by computer aided system, and it relieves pain. However, there are few objective data considering this subject. In this literature review, we researched studies about computer controlled anesthetic delivery. We compared pain control effect of computer controlled to conventional local anesthetic syringe system. Methods: A bibliographic search in PubMed was performed and we reviewed original articles. Results: There were 18 publications that compared pain control effect of computer controlled to conventional system. There were 8 articles reported of children, similar pain control effect was found in 7 of them. One study showed superior pain control effect of computer controlled anesthetic delivery. For adults, 10 studies showed superior pain control effect in computer aided system. Conclusions: Computer controlled anesthetic delivery has similar or superior pain control effect compared to conventional local anesthetic syringe system. For both children and adults, computer controlled anesthetic delivery could be clinically useful, still it may be more effective for adults.

  • The purpose of interlocking system was to prevent the route for a train being set up and its protecting signal cleared if there was already another, conflicting route set up and the protecting signal for that route cleared. Recently, the computer based control systems instead of conventional relays circuitry are widely used to industrial systems, therefore, interlocking system are rapidly changing from relay interlocking system to computer controlled interlocking system that control requirements of interlocking at junctions using electronic circuits. However, the reliability of interlocking logic for those systems are harder to demonstrate than in traditional relays circuitry because the faults or errors can not be analyzed and predicted to those systems, In this paper, by examine checking technique of computer controlled interlocking system, we will to acquire interlocking inspection algorithm and method for computer controlled interlocking system

  • Owing to remarkable development in automotive industry, vehicle performance comes close to perfection and guarantee of stability is getting emphasized in accordance with high speed trend in vehicle. In recent years, the utilization of automatic test method for research and development of automotive brake system is being propelled actively, which pursue whole automatic control from simple measurement to data acquisition. The main subject of this paper is to make a brief explanation on Micro computer controlled Automatic Test Method for Automotive Brake System which makes it possible to test with high accuracy and speed.

  • A precision planting system using computer controlled technology for mulching cultivation was developed and tested . The system consisting of a micro-computer, several optical fiber sensors and control actuators realized the mechanization of the precision planting operation. The film hole positions, existences of a seed on shutter were detected and the planting speed was measured. The shutter opening mechanism and a seed metering device driven by a stepping motor were controlled, automatically . The planting timing of the shutter opening mechanism were analyzed from a video camera motion analysis, theoretically. The results showed a sufficient accuracy of a seed planted into the center a film hole with a variety of planting speeded. The gravity point positions in film hole of seeds planted by the system just were within the area of +-5mm of the hole center when the hole diameter was 40mm.

  • The system is designed for the production and processing of feed, fertilizer, sugar , and grain. It can be used to weigh and transport automatically their pellet, power or nonstickness materials. In this system, we use discontinuous totalising automatic weighing instruments to weigh materials. It is a closed-cycle control system controlled by industrial controlling computer STD bus. The system used for processing grain and feed can improve the quality of products , carry out scientific management, increase productivity and decrease the intensity of labour

  • In this paper, a development of the control system for the milling machine which is used to cut teeth of the automibile keys is presented as an example of the industry-university cooperation. The machine is controlled by a computer and a PLC. The control of the servo motors are accomplished by the computer and mechanical sequences are by PLC. This machine is capable of cutting key teeth up to the accuracy of 10 microns.

  • A semi-actively controlled impact system which adjusts an impulse exerted by the external impact is studies. The main control variables are internal pressure difference inside the cylinder and the shock absorber displacement while it travels. Compared to a conventional one so called a passive system with a variable orifice inside the cylinder, a semi-actively controlled system utilizes an external orifice controlled by a highly fast responding electrical proportional valve. This device overcomes the temperature and viscosity change due to continuous operating and keeps the desired pressure difference and displacement in every operation. In this article a new prototype impact system is designed and manufactured based on a semi-actively control system. Through computer simulations and experiments, we verify the possibility of controlling the shock absorber pressure and displacement. After investigating the control performance a modified semi-actively controlled system with better control performance is also proposed.

  • This paper proposes an algorithm of CAD data extraction for the computer controlled marking system. In general, logo has been directly designed at the marking controller, but that is not an effective method because of the very limited working area. In this paper, for the data extraction we used a general PC and Auto CAD for logo design, and developed the software with GUI(Graphic User Interface) method. Then the data is transferred to the marking controller for marking on the object. With experimental result we showed the proposed algorithm to be very effective in the computer controlled marking system.

  • To control a greenhouse is to control environmental parameters in greenhouse. Controlled environments may be as simple as saran-covered shade houses or as complex as growth chambers. Although greenhouses are probably the most common example of a controlled environment used in agricultural/horticultural production, the type of controlled environment or system that is needed depends upon the climate, time of year, crops being produced and the environmental parameters that must be controlled. In this contribution puts emphasis on construction of automatic-controlled greenhouse system by personal computer.
