Design and Implementation of the English Education Testing System Interface Based on VoiceXML (VoiceXML 기반 영어 교육 평가 시스템 설계 및 구현)

  • In this paper we studied English listening and speaking test part of foreign language using web and VoiceXML-based education testing system, which is irrespective of time and space. The testing system interface based on VoiceXML consists of user registration module, testing module, and testing result module. User registration module registers user's name and ID, password in user database, and when a tester calls for testing, the User listens to the telephone sound supported by vxml scenario. After that, if a tester logs in, the tester is verified, In the VoiceXML-based education testing system, the manager can reduce time and effort for gaining testing result. The tester listens to the voice by scenario supported by VoiceXML markup language using wire/wireless telephone at any time or anywhere and can improve the effect of foreign language studying by valuating in voice directly. verified.   • In this paper, a web-based, advanced education system for embedded systems have been implemented, which provide students reality through remote controlled experiment environment when they conduct experiments through web, in addition to the creative multimedia contents. Students can use the server-side remote experiment environment through telnet client using Java technology to conduct a variety of experiments on the embedded system remotely. Our system can be used as economical education tools for expensive experiment equipments in shared fashion through web as well as effective and convenient ones for embedded systems anywhere and anytime when internet access is available, compensating for lack in reality of virtual educations.

  • Web 2.0 could influence the teaching and learning system significantly due to its characteristics to utilize information using internet in various ways, to create information, and to reorganize it through information sharing. In this new environment of information-oriented classes using the computer, positive education method is required to develop new teaching/learning method based on the internet web 2.0 in order to fulfill the learner's intellectual curiosity and to lead the future-oriented classes. This paper proposed a teaching-learning models in the web 2.0-based internet information education and its effect analysis.

  • In this study, we study and analysis on e-Learning based Information Security curriculum. e-Learning based university education courses will be much more established in Korea based on advanced IT technology. Computer related majors such as 'Computer Science' and 'Software' can be easily combined with e-Learning system. And Advanced Information Security Expert (AISE) educational course must be broadly opened for satisfying national requirements. In this study, we analyze e-Learning course on Information Security major based on off-line curriculum and suggest new model for further research.

  • If we are using SNMP based network management systems and we need to manage new OSI based network elements, we have to develop new network management system. Most of the networks, which are composed of diverse. heterogeneous network nodes, are managed by CMIP based management system. The development of new management system, however, is very costly. In this paper, we show the design and implementation of the SNMP based network management system with minor changes for the management of OSI network and network elements.

  • This paper proposes show how to support the field-learning by using web and mobile system. This Web Mobile system is to help the users plan, carry out and evaluate a field learning. Usually the field-learning is going through three steps: preparation, actual field activity and post-evaluation activity. The proposing Web-Mobile system supports an integrated methodology to more effectively help, lead and manage this three step field-learning, This effective approach will help the learners develop their creativity, self-control and partnership to each other.

Development of a Multiple SMPS System Controlling Variable Load Based on Wireless Network

  • This paper proposes a multiple switch mode power supply (SMPS) system based on the wireless network which controls variable load. The system enables power supply of up to 600W using 200W SMPS as a unit module and provides a controlling function of output power based on variable load and a monitoring function based on wireless network. The controlling function for output power measures the variation of output power and facilitates efficient power supply by controlling output power based on the measured variation value. The monitoring function guarantees a stable power supply by observing the multiple SMPS system in real time via wireless network. The performance of the proposed system was examined by various experiments. In addition, it was verified through standardized test of Korea Testing Certification. The results were given and discussed.

  • How to promote students interest is very important in undergraduate engineering education. One of the techniques for achieving this is select appropriate projects and to integrated them with regular courses. In this paper, a voice recognition system for autonomous robots is proposed as a project to educate students about microprocessors efficiently. The proposed system consists of a microprocessor and a voice recognition processor that can recognize a limited unmber of voice patterns. The commands of autono-mous robots are classified and are organized such that one voice recognition processor can distinguish robot commands under each directory. Thus. the proposed system can distinguish more voice commands than one voice recognition processor can. A voice com-mand systems for three autonomous robots is implemented with a microprocessor Inter 80CI196KC and a voice recognition processor HM2007. The advantages in integrating this system with regular courses are also described.

  • All of the students must trace to the predetermined course of curriculum in traditional education system. There are some absurdity that nearly the same subjects, which are different each other, are treating partially the same contents. Therefore This paper proposes the cyber-educational system which constructs curriculum divided to modular parts for efficient self-directed learning in performing internet-based remote education. The preliminary experiment for two subjects shows that the proposed system gives about 9.4% of time reduction than traditional system.

  • As the result of the rapid development of communication technology makes the circumstance and method of education change, distance education is adapted to new fields of education so that students can be educated what they need in the time and space which they want instead of relying on the existing physical frameworks. In this paper Learner-Analysing System was designed and implemented in the distance education based on the web. For the easy access and the demand of customers, this Learner-Analysing System is composed of the Q&A-processing module which can produce proper results for questions and acquisitions of their own study materials through efficient search, and the student-analyzing module for reinforcement of feedback through correct analysis.
