Open educational resources(OER) enable the spread of mutual information exchange and provide advantages to both their users and institutions, such as reducing costs, improving content quality, and establishing relationships. The recent research on OER was about their connection to formal education, copyright trends, and corporate e-learning. There have been very few studies, however, on the utilization of OER and on the problems related to their practical use. Thus, this study was conducted for the purposes of analyzing the status of OER usage in education-related institutions and of providing suggestions for institution operation based on the analysis results, to promote the use of OER. A survey was conducted among more than 200 institutions in Asia, and the survey results showed that 'images and visual materials' are the most commonly used materials in Asia, and that the factors barring OER usage in the said region are 'lack of awareness', 'lack of skills', 'the absence of a reward system', and poor cooperation in participation. To promote OER usage, each institution should provide training courses about awareness, utilization skills, and copyrights. There is also a need to provide support for the establishment of reward systems and environments for OER usage. Finally, more active participation is required for inter-agency cooperation in OER sharing.
TPR(Total Physical Response) is a new representative learning method for children's education. Today's approach to TPR has focused on signals from a user which becomes input data in a human-computer interaction, but the accuracy of sensing from body signals(e. g. motion and voice) isn't so perfect that it seems difficult to apply on an education system. To overcome these limits, we suggest a mediating interface device which can detect the user's motion using correct numerical values such as acceleration and angular speed. In addition, we suggest new design requirements for the mediating device through analyzing children's behavior as human factors by ethnography research and protocol analysis. As a result, we found that; children are unskilled in physical control when they use objects; tend to lean on an object unconsciously with touch. Also their behaviors are restricted, when they use objects. Therefore a mediating device should satisfy new design requirements which are make up for unskilled handling, support familiar and natural physical activity.
The study compares accuracies between humans and computer algorithms in the discrimination of spontaneous smiles from posed smiles. For this purpose, subjects performed two tasks, one was judgment with single pictures and the other was judgment with pair comparison. At the task of judgment with single pictures, in which pictures of smiling facial expression were presented one by one, subjects were required to judge whether smiles in the pictures were spontaneous or posed. In the task for judgment with pair comparison, in which two kinds of smiles from one person were presented simultaneously, subjects were to select spontaneous smile. To calculate the discrimination algorithm accuracy, 8 kinds of facial features were used. To calculate the discriminant function, stepwise linear discriminant analysis (SLDA) was performed by using approximately 50 % of pictures, and the rest of pictures were classified by using the calculated discriminant function. In the task of single pictures, the accuracy rate of SLDA was higher than that of humans. In the analysis of accuracy on pair comparison, the accuracy rate of SLDA was also higher than that of humans. Among the 20 subjects, none of them showed the above accuracy rate of SLDA. The facial feature contributed to SLDA effectively was angle of inner eye corner, which was the degree of the openness of the eyes. According to Ekman's FACS system, this feature corresponds to AU 6. The reason why the humans had low accuracy while classifying two kinds of smiles, it appears that they didn't use the information coming from the eyes enough.
A computer program written to predict blast occurrence based on micro climatic events was developed and tested as an on-site microcomputer in field plots in 1984 and 1985. A microcomputer unit operating on alkaline batteries; continuously monitored air temperature, leaf wetness, and relative humidity; interpreted the microclimate information in relation to rice blast development and displayed daily values (0-8) of blast units of severity (BUS). Cumulative daily BUS values (CBUS) were highly correlated with blast development on the two susceptible cultivars, M-201 and Brazos grown in field plots. When CBUS values were used to predict the logit of disease proportions, the average coefficients of determination $(R^2)$ between these two factors were 71 to $91\%$, depending on cultivar and year. This was a significant improvement when compared to 61 to $79\%$ when days were used as a predictor of logit disease severity. The ability of CBUS to predict logit disease severity was slightly less with Brazos than M-201. This is significant inasmuch as Brazos showed field resistance at mid-season. The results in this study indicate that the model has the potential for future use and that the model could be improved by incorporating other variables associated with host plants and pathogen races in addition to the key environmental variables.
In dental radiography, panoramic views cause distortion and thus may bring about inaccurate results in the process of quantitative analysis. In this connection, there has recently been an increasing use of cone beam computed tomography (CBCT) that is known to provide high-resolution images and positional information. In this study, a dental computed tomography unit, 'DCT-90-P IMPLAGRAPHY (Vatech, Korea)', was applied to 20 patients for 24 seconds respectively, with a tube voltage of 85kVp and a tube current of 7mA. The data of CBCT were three-dimensionally reconstructed by use of a computer program, and were histomorphometrically analyzed. The results showed that the diameter of mandibular canal is less distorted at a certain inclination of the mandibular body. The image tends to seem more distended in proportion to the distance between the subject and film. Also, the image tends to be affected according as it is out of focus. In conclusion, it requires that the image should be reconstructed in light of anatomic position and structure.
The objective of this study is to investigate the structural behavior of the composite slabs with the new metal deckplate. The new deckplate can be used as structural member with topping concrete. So several experiments of this structural test and the fire resistance test were done. From this experiments. slabs with new metal deckpklate were verified as composite slabs. In this paper, this verifications were compared with the international design methods. For experiment. 49 specimens were made. the main parameters are deckplate thickness (1.2mm. 1.6mm) depth of topping concrete(85mm. 90mm). support condition(simple, 2-span), shear reinforcment(studs), span(2.7m, 3.0m, 3.3m. 3.6m. 3.9m) and shear span(L/3, L/4, L/7). We analyzed the structural behavior of composite slab throughout the moment-curvature relationship which is obtained with the program using the computer language. Turbo C. From this development for slab system, the reinforced concrete or steel structure building may be easy, economical for construction, And informations about the structural behavior of composite slabs will be utilized to established korea standard.
The Purpose of this study was to explore the condition of periodic medical examination and the health care services of industries in order to offer some basic data on developing industrial nursing care. To achieve this goal a self - administered questionnaire (developed by the academic affairs of community health nursing) was provieded to the nurses in 56 industries from Dec. 10, 1992 to Jan. 20, 1993. The statistical computer package, SPSS, was used to manipulate the data along with T-test and ANOVA. The results were as follows : 1. General characteristics: The greater part of the industries were manufacturing company, and below 300 employees of industry were 55.4%. The shift system was mostly one shift(66.1%) and three shift(23.2%), and 50.0% them organized the Industrial Safety and Health Commitee. Average a number of employees was 631 person. 2. Periodic Medical Examination: Most of the workers were receiving periodic medical examination from the designated hospital (95.71%). From the about 12.89% were gone through a colse medical examination. In colse medical examination 58.41% were decided 'C' and 36.73% were decided 'D'. About 6.23% off those who had any clinical findings were work-time shortening(7.84%), work-transition(8.12%), recoverating at home. The majority of the workers receive the result of the periodic medical examination individually (78.5%). 3. Special medical examination: The rate of those who are receiving special medical examination were 76.82% and about 8.24% were decided 'C' and 1.23% were decided 'D' Those who had any health problems were receiving follow-up checking (9.10%) and medical treatment while working (15.04%). The health managers in the company can consult (85.7%) those who had any suspicious sign and symptoms of occupational disease. 4. Health care services: The average score of health care services were 17.57 point out of 28 point, and the score was lower in health assessment and environmental hygiene than medical diagnosis and health education. There were significant differences in environmental hygine (F=3.72, P=0.017), health care services(F=3.94, P=0.013) according to the size of the size of the industries The other's significancy is not shown by any type of industrial nurse. The level of health care services were higher in the wokers who had better health and showed no singificant differences(T=-0.73, P=0.470).

In the medical examination 9.4% were evaluated at 'C' and 3.8 were evaluated at 'D'. About 55.0% of those workers received the result of the periodic medical examination individually(95.0%). 3. Special Medical Examination : The rate of those who were receiving special medical examination was 98.4% and about 11.7% were evaluated at 'C' and 3.9% were evaluated at 'D'. Those who had any health problems (54.2%) were receiving follow-up care, 52.4% of them had medical treatment while working. The health care managers in the company consulted 97.1% of them who had any suspicious signs and symptoms of occupational diseases. 4. Health Care Services : The average score of health care services was 13.8 out of a possible 28 point. The score of health education and health assessment, was lower than medical diagnosis and environmental hygiene. There were no significant differences in health care services according to the size of the industries(F=.95, P=.429). The score of health care services was higher in the worker who had better health and showed significant differences (F=4.50, p=.025).

The present paper propose a real-time moving object recognition and tracking method using the wavelet-based neural network and invariant moments. Candidate moving region detection phase which is the first step of the proposed method detects the candidate regions where a pixel value changes occur due to object movement based on the difference image analysis between continued two image frames. The object recognition phase which is second step of proposed method recognizes the vehicle regions from the detected candidate regions using wavelet neurual-network. From object tracking Phase which is third step the recognized vehicle regions tracks using matching methods of wavelet invariant moments bases to recognized object. To detect a moving object from image sequence the candidate regions detection phase uses an adaptive thresholding method between previous image and current image as result it was robust surroundings environmental change and moving object detections were possible. And by using wavelet features to recognize and tracking of vehicle, the proposed method decrease calculation time and not only it will be able to minimize the effect in compliance with noise of road image, vehicle recognition accuracy became improved. The result which it experiments from the image which it acquires from the general road image sequence and vehicle detection rate is 92.8%, the computing time per frame is 0.24 seconds. The proposed method can be efficiently apply to a real-time intelligence road traffic surveillance system.
In this paper, we analyze the location accuracy of real-time locating systems (RTLS) in multipath environments, where the RTLS complies with an ISO/IEC 24730-2 international standard. RTLS readers should have an ability not only to recover the transmitted signal but also provide arrival timing information from the received signal. In the multipath environments, in general, the transmitted signal goes through both direct and indirect paths, and then it becomes some distorted form of the transmitted signal. Such multipath components have a critical effect on deciding the first arrival timing of the received signal. To analyze the location error of the RTLS in the multipath environments, we assume two multipath components without considering an additive white Gaussian noise. Through the simulation and real test results, we confirm that the location error does not occur when the time difference between two paths is more than 1.125Tc, but the location error of about 2.4m happens in case of less than 0.5Tc. In particular, we see that the resolvability of two different paths depends largely on the phase difference for the time difference of less than 1Tc.
