  • The numerical simulation of air movement in a room using CFD (Computational Fluid Dynamics) requires a complicated set of input data, This includes physical data, such as space geometry, characteristics of supply air flow and contaminant source, etc. as well as computational domain. Among the input data, the boundary conditions related to the inlet are particularly crucial in order to achieve accurate computation results, although there are many other parameters which may also affect the results. • We proposed a fast detection of copy-move image forgery using four step search algorithm in the spatial domain. In the four-step search algorithm, the search area is 21 (-10 ~ +10), and the number of pixels to be scanned is 33. Our algorithm reduced computational complexity more than conventional copy move image forgery methods. The proposed method reduced 92.34 % of computational complexity compare to exhaustive search algorithm.

  • An elliptic grid generation scheme using Laplace's equations guarantees the resulting grids to be crossing-free as a result of maximum principle in its analytic form. Numerical results, however, often show the grid lines overlapping each other or crossing the boundaries, especially for very sharp convex corners. The cause of this problem is investigated, and it is found that this problem can be handled by properly modifying the coefficients of transformed Laplace's equations in the computational domain.

  • The R-adaptivity method to the shell surface which is presented by the NURBS is proposed. The r-adaptiivty method , given by Liao and Anderson〔2〕, aggregate the grid in the region where is relatively high weight function without any grid-tanggling. In numerical examples, the strain energy error estimate of shell in the whole domain can be reduced effectively by using applied r- adaptivity method mesh.

  • In this study, the singular thermal stresses induced during cooling down from high temperature to room temperature have been analyzed for the viscoelastic thin layer. The time domain boundary element method has been employed to investigate the behavor of stresses for the whole interface. Within the context of a linear viscoelastic theory, a stress singularity exists at the point where the interface between the elastic substrate and the viscoelastic thin layer intersects the free surface.

  • In this study, a new method coupling of Element-Free Galerkin(EFG) method and Infinite Elements(IE) method is presented for extending application of the EFG method to engineering problems in unbounded domain. EFG method and IE method are briefly reviewed, and then the coupling procedure of the two methods is proposed. Numerical Algorithm by way of EFG-lE coupling technique is also developed. Numerical results illustrate the performance of the proposed technique. The accuracy of numerical solutions by the developed algorithm is guaranteed in comparing those of the other methods.

  • In many areas of finite element analysis, elements with special properties are required to achieve maximal accuracy. As examples, we may mention infinite elements for the representation of spatial domain that extend to special and singular elements for modeling point and line singularities engendered by geomeric features such as reentrant corners and cracks. In this paper, we study on modified shape function representing singular properties and algorigthm for the pollution adaptive mesh generation. We will also show that the modified shape function reduces pollution error and local error.

  • This paper deals with the stress singularity induced at the interface corner between the viscoelastic thin film and the rigid substrate subjected to uniform temperature change. The viscoelastic film has been assumed to be thermorheologically simple. The time-domain boundary element method(BEM) has been employed to investigate the behavior of interface stresses. The order of the free-edge singularity has been obtained numerically for a given viscoelastic model. It is shown that the free-edge stress intensity factor is relaxed with time, while the order of the singularity increases with time for the viscoelastic model considered.

  • The modal parameter estimations of linear multi-degree-of-freedom structural dynamic systems are carried out in time domain. For this purpose, the equation of motion is transformed into the autoregressive and moving average model with auxiliary stochastic input (ARMAX) model. The parameters of the ARMAX model are estimated by using the sequential prediction error method. Then, the modal parameters of the system are obtained thereafter. Experimental results are given for a 3-story building model subject to ground exitations.

  • The necessity of the filter coefficients compensation for the LTJ adaptive filter was explained generally and easily by analyzing it with respect to the time-varying transform domain adaptive filter. And also the reduction method of computational complexity for filter coefficients compensation was proposed and its effectiveness was verified through experiments using artificial and real speech signals. The proposed adaptive filter reduces the computational complexity for filter coefficients compensation by 95%, and when the filter is applied to the acoustic echo canceller with 1000 taps, the total complexity is reduced by 82%
