IDEA 알고리즘을 이용한 고속 암호 VLSI 설계 (A Design of the High-Speed Cipher VLSI Using IDEA Algorithm)

  • 본 논문은 IDEA 알고리즘을 사용한 고속 암호 IC의 설계에 관한 것이다. IDEA 알고리즘을 회로로 구현하기 위하여 전체 회로를 6개의 주요 기능블럭으로 분할하여 설계하였다. 주요 블록으로 암호키 및 복호키 생성부, 입력 데이터 처리부, 암호화 처리부, 출력 데이터 처리부, 그리고 동작모드 제어부 등이 있나. 서브키 생성회로는 연간속도보다 회로면적을 축소시키는 방향으로 설계한 반면, 암호화 처리부는 회로면적보다 연산속도를 증가시키는 방향으로 설계목표를 정했다. 따라서 반복연산에 적합한 파이프라인 구조와 연간속도를 향상시키는 모듈라 승산기를 채택하였다. 특히, 많은 연산시간이 소요되는 모듈라 승산기는 연산속도를 증가시키기 위하여 캐리선택 가산기 및 modified Booth 승 산 알고리즘을 사용하여 한 클럭에 동작하도록 설계하였다. 또한, 입력 데이터 처리부는 데이터를 동작모드에 따라 8-bit, 167-bit 32-bit 단위로 받아들이기 위하여 데이터 버퍼가 8-bit, 16-bit, 32-bit 씩 이동할 수 있도록 하였다. 0.25$\mu\textrm{m}$ 공장기술을 사용하여 시뮬레이션한 결과, 이 IC는 큰 면적을 요구하지 않으면서도 1Gbps 이상의 throughput을 달성하였으며, 회로구현에 약 12,000gates가 소요되었다.

  • The objective of this paper is to develop a automatic computation module for optimum stories in apartment buildings in order to assure the solar access right for neighboring areas. Compared to the existing solar access right analysis programs, the proposed solar access right analysis program is more improved and expanded by automating the computing process of optimum stories in apartment buildings. With the result of this research, it would be possible to furnish advanced information for an amicable settlement against the civil petition and disputes, to reduce waste of the time and money, and to improve the efficiency of solar access right analysis works.

Tidal Disruption Flares from Stars on Bound Orbits

  • We study tidal disruption and subsequent mass fallback process for stars approaching supermassive black holes on bound orbits, by performing three dimensional Smoothed Particle Hydrodynamics simulations with a pseudo-Newtonian potential. We find that the mass fallback rate decays with the expected -5/3 power of time for parabolic orbits, albeit with a slight deviation due to the self-gravity of the stellar debris. For eccentric orbits, however, there is a critical value of the orbital eccentricity, significantly below which all of the stellar debris is bound to the supermassive black hole. All the mass therefore falls back to the supermassive black hole in a much shorter time than in the standard, parabolic case. The resultant mass fallback rate considerably exceeds the Eddington accretion rate and substantially differs from the -5/3 power of time. We also show that general relativistic precession is crucial for accretion disk formation via circularization of stellar debris from stars on moderately eccentric orbits.

  • The equipment of industrial robot in manufacturing and assembly lines has rapidly increased. In order to achieve high productivity and flexibility, it becomes very important to develop the visual feedback control system with Off-Line Programming System(OLPS). We can save much efforts and time in adjusting robots to newly defined workcells by using OLPS. A proposed visual calibration scheme is based on position-based visual feedback. The calibration program firstly generates predicted images of objects in an assumed end-effector position. The process to generate predicted images consists of projection to screen-coordinates, visible range test and construction of simple silhouette figures. Then camera images acquired are compared with predicted ones for updating position and orientation data. Computation of error is very simple because the scheme is based on perspective projection which can be also expanded to experimental results. Computation time can be extremely reduced because the proposed method does not require the precise calculation of tree-dimensional object data and image Jacobian.

  • In rigid-plastic finite element method, there is a heavy computation time and convergence problem. In this study, static-explicit rigid-plastic finite element method will be introduced. This method is the way that restrict the convergence interval. It is expected that various results from the numerical analysis will give very useful information for the design of tools in sheet metal forming process.

  • 멀티미디어 데이타베이스 시스템에서 k-최대근접질의는 매우 빈번히 발생하며, 다른유형의 공간질의에 비하여 처리비용이 많이 요구된다. K-최대근접질의의 처리비용을 최적화하기 위해서는 색인에서 검색되는 노드의 수와 연산시간을 최소화할 수 있어야한다. 본 논문에서는 최적검색거리[1]의 연산시간을 줄일 수 있는 새로운 검색거리를 제안하고 그 특성을 보인다.

  • This paper proposes a method of solving a unit commitment problem using parallel tabu search(PTS) approach. Tabu search is a heuristic optimization method that has the tabu list to control the search process. To improve the searching ability of a global solution, we used a method of exchanging solutions among connected processors as a diversification strategy, and to reduce the computation time, a new evaluating method was proposed which evaluates only a changed par. To show the usefulness of the proposed method, we simulated for 10 units system and 110 units system. Numerical results show improvements in the generation costs and the computation time compared with other conventional methods.

적응격자계를 이용한 경계층의 확산제어천이 예측 (Prediction of the Diffusion Controlled Boundary Layer Transition with an Adaptive Grid)

  • Numerical prediction of the diffusion controlled transition in a turbine gas pass is important because it can change the local heat transfer rate over a turbine blade as much as three times. In this study, the gas flow over turbine blade is simplified to the flat plate boundary layer, and an adaptive grid scheme redistributing grid points within the computation domain is proposed with a great emphasis on the construction of the grid control function. The function is sensitized to the second invariant of the mean strain tensor, its spatial gradient, and the interaction of pressure gradient and flow deformation. The transition process is assumed to be described with a κ-ε turbulence model. An elliptic solver is employed to integrate governing equations. Numerical results show that the proposed adaptive grid scheme is very effective in obtaining grid independent numerical solution with a very low grid number. It is expected that present scheme is helpful in predicting actual flow within a turbine to improve computation efficiency.

유전자 알고리즘을 이용한 원기둥형 물체의 자세 추정 방법 (Pose Estimation of a Cylindrical Object Using Genetic Algorithm)

  • The cylindrical object are widely used as mechanical parts in the manufacturing process. In order to handling those objects using a robot or an automated machine automatically, the pose of the object must be known. The pose can be described by two rotation angles; one angle about the x axis and the other about the y axis. In the many previous researches these angles were obtained by the computationally intensive algorithm, that is, fitting the data as a polynomial and doing pseudo inverse. So that, this method required high performance microprocessor. In this paper in order to avoid complex computation, a new method based on a genetic algorithm is proposed and analyzed through a series of simulations. This algorithm utilized the geometry of the cylindrical shape. The simulation results show that this method find the pose angles very well In most cases, but the computation time is randomly changed because the genetic algorithm is basically one of the random search method.
