  • The noise currents in the load of cascaded transmission lines excited by a nearly small loop are analyzed and the effective approxiamte method by which we can calculate these currents easily and the computation time can be significantly reduced is developed. Numerical results for n=3 are well agreed with those of Smith by the maximum difference of 3-4dB and show that the length of a segment of line regarded to be illuminated by uniform electric fields should be 1.3 times the distance from the loop to the point midway between the conductors.

  • Recently the railway becomes principal transportation on account of the important role in mass transit and commute in urban area. However, rail noise and vibration raise a major problem for the residents living nearby railway track. At that point of view, the effective counterplan for the soundproofing and protection of vibration has to be considered in the process of railway design. Therefore, the reliable computation of load caused by running train on rail is very important to estimate vibration of structure adjacent to railway. In this study, Input identification is used for the calculation of load and vibration, induced by high speed train on rail. The influence of railroad noise and vibration on structure is evaluated using the 3-D Finite element method and the reliability of the evaluation is discussed comparing with the results of the field measurements.

  • The conventional analysis for the numerical computation of fluid film thickness with elastic deformation of contact region. is performed by Newton-Rephson method for its 18st convergence characteristics. However, both high load and relatively low sliding velocity frequently make it impossible for Newton-Rahpson method to get both converged and stable solutions. In particular, this method cannot provide converged Solution under the condition of high load above 1.0 GPa which frequently occurs in line contact of EHL problem. Multigird multi-level method for the solver of non-linear partial differential equation including solid deformation is preferred to Newton-Rshpson method for better convergence and stability and is applied to line contact EHL behavior in this study.

  • This paper suggests a new methodology of evolutionary computations - an Adaptive Evolutionary Algorithm (AEA) for solving the Economic Load Dispatch (ELD) problem which has piecewise quadratic cost functions and prohibited operating zones with many local minima. AEA uses a genetic algorithm (GA) and an evolution strategy (ES) in an adaptive manner in order to take merits of two different evolutionary computations: global search capability of GA and local search capability of ES. In the reproduction procedure, proportions of the population by GA and the population by ES are adaptively modulated according to the fitness. Case studies illustrate the superiority of the proposed methods to existing conventional methods in power generation cost and computation time. The results demonstrate that the AEA can be applied successfully in the solution of ELD with piecewise quadratic cost functions and prohibited operating zones

  • This paper presents a fast and accurate contingency analysis in EHV systems for line outages, loss of generation of redispatching and loss-of-load or load management. Unlike other contingencies, line outage requires the modification of the Jacobian of the base case power flow and the calculation of its new inverse, which is substantially different from the original inverse. In this paper, we obtain the inverse of the new Jacobian from the original inverse without repeating the time consuming matrix inversion process. Numerical test results show the significant improvement in the accuracies compared with those obtained using the original inverse.

  • For the safety driving of an automobile which is become individual requisites, a new Neural Network algorithm which recognized the load vehicles in real time is proposed. The proposed neural network technique is the real time computation method through the inter-node diffusion. In the network, a node corresponds to a state in the quantized input space. Each node is composed of a processing unit and fixed weights from its neighbor nodes as well as its input terminal. The most reliable algorithm derived for real time recognition of vehicles, is a dynamic programming based algorithm based on sequence matching techniques that would process the data as it arrives and could therefore provide continuously updated neighbor information estimates. Through several simulation experiments, real time reconstruction of the nonlinear image information is processed. 1-D LIPN hardware has been composed and various experiments with static and dynamic signals have been implemented.

위치등록 방법의 성능분석 : 영역기준 위치등록과 거리기준 위치등록 (Performance Analysis of location Registration Methods : Zone-based Registration and Distance-based Registration)

  • In this paper, we evaluate the performance of zone-based registration and distance-based registration. First, we propose the mobility model which can be used to analyze the performance of both zone-based registration and distance-based registration. And using the proposed mobility model, we obtain several performance measures and perform numerical computation to compare the performance of two registration methods. Numerical results show that in general zone-based registration needs less number of registration than distance-based registration. On the other hand, if distance-based registration is used, registration load is equally distributed to all cells in a location area and ping-pong phenomenon is not occurred. And when a VLR area is composed of a few location areas, distance-based registration may need less registration load than zone-based registration. Therefore, a proper registration method should be selected considering system circumstances and implementation complexity, and the selected method should be implemented so as to change system parameters according to system circumstances.

  • The values for the average and rms currents in a three-level PWM inverter are required in order to select the various components such as power semiconductor devices, capacitors and reactors of inverter circuit. And those are very useful for the designing of the heat sink. In this paper, therefore, the simple current equations are proposed for a three-level PWM inverter. Analysis of inverter current waveforms indicate that the average and rms inverter currents are dependent on the load power factor and PWM modulation index (Ma).   • This paper presents the method for computing the power economic dispatch with an optimal power flow (OPF) computation algorithm, considering the power factor limits constraint. Efficient reactive power planning enhances economic operation as well as system security. Accordingly, an adequate level of power factor limits for the load buses should be evaluated for economic operation. The power factor limits are included and described into the OPF's objective function. The proposed method is applied to IEEE 26 buses system.

  • 본 논문은 전력설비의 신속한 상정사고 선택을 위한 앨고리즘을 제시한다. 이 방법은 DC법에 의한 선로와 모선사이의 감도계수인 GSDF(Generation Shigt Distribution Factor)를 이용하여 계산되는 선로개방분배계수 (LODF : Line Outage Distribution Factor)를 사용하여 정상상태에서의 선로조류로부터 상정사고시의 선로조류를 계산하였다. 상정사고 선택을 신속히 하기 위하여 정상상태에서 용량대비 선로조류가 35〔%〕(154〔kV〕에서는 60〔%〕)이상의 선로만을 대상으로 하였다. 본 논문에서 제시한 앨고리즘 및 프로그램의 효율성을 입증하기 위하여 6모선 11선로 모델계통을 선정하여 적용하였다.
