전력변환장치를 이용한 상용차용 무시동 에어컨 압축기 시스템 (Commercial Vehicle Anti-Start Air Conditioner Compressor System Using a Power Conversion Unit)

  • his study deals with a power conversion unit of an anti-start air conditioner compressor system for the commercial vehicle. In case of converter, to reduce the switching losses and current stresses of the device, applies LLC resonant topology. Transformer leakage inductance in the full-bridge converter is used for making the resonance with the capacitor of the voltage-doubler. Through this method we can increase power and decrease volume of system. Both circuit analysis and design guideline are described. So in this paper, power conversion unit is designed. 2.5kW anti-start air conditioner compressor system was implemented, and system operation and stability was verified through experiment.

  • The necessity of diagnosis of the rotating machinery which is widely used in the industry is increasing. Because vibration diagnosis can avoid sudden breakdown of machine and reduce the maintenance costs. In chemical factory, Air-compressor and refrigerator which can affect the performance and capacity of output are important machine. Therefore, in this paper, the vibration of reassembled air-compressor and refrigerator after explosion is measured for checking the machine condition. The result of diagnosis and solution is discussed in this paper.

Experimental Study on Surge Inception in a Centrifugal Compressor

  • An investigation of surge inception in a centrifugal compressor was done with measurements of steady and unsteady static pressure. Vaneless diffuser and vaned diffuser were tested. Analyses of the static pressure and the pressure fluctuation showed that stall at the impeller leading edge occurred at first, and then it extended to downstream. In case of the vaneless diffuser, deterioration of the pressure rise in the impeller triggered instability. For the vande diffuser, instability that was generated in the impeller propagated into the vaned diffuser, however the pressure recovery by the vaned diffuser made the operation of the compressor stable at low flow rate.

  • The gas compressor is one of the important machine in the petrochemical industry. It is likely to have high vibration problems due to having large reaction source and structural characteristic. In this paper we analyze the cause of high vibration in the reciprocating compressor and present a solution to this problems. By performing this case study, we confirm the effectiveness of vibration reduction through excitation source changes.

Investigation on the Off Design Performance of a Transonic Compressor with Circumferential Grooves

  • Two cases with circumferential grooves were designed for a transonic compressor, and 3-D numerical simulations were conducted for stall mechanism at three representative speeds. A conclusion can be drawn from the comparison between compressors with or without casing treatment that: with the rising of rotation speed, stall margin increases dramatically under the help of casing treatments, and the case with middle grooves has reasonable compromise between stall margin increment and efficiency cutting. At lower speed, the increment reduces, and grooves at the back of blade tip have more influence on stall margin. Further investigation shows there is a transition in mechanism of compressor stall with the decline of rotational speed: at high rotation speed, the expansion of stall margin mainly results from the suppression of tip leakage vortex by casing treatments, yet it benefits more from the depression of boundary layer separation from suction surface of blade tip.

선형 GPA 기법을 이용한 터보프롭 엔진의 성능진단에 관한 연구 (A Study on Engine Health Monitoring using Linear Gas Path Analysis for Turboprop Engine)

  • 소, 중형 산업용 항공기나 초등 훈련기용으로 많이 이용되고 있는 터보프롭 엔진의 정상상태 성능해석 프로그램을 개발하고 성능진단을 위해 선형 GPA 기법을 적용하였다. 정상상태 성능해석 프로그램의 검증을 위해 상용 정상상태 해석 프로그램인 TURBOMARCH 해석결과와 비교하였다. 지상정지조건에서의 성능 및 비행마하수에 따른 출력 둥을 비교한 결과 각 구성품의 입,출구 온도 및 압력, 출력 등에서는 약 3%이하의 오차율을 보였으며, 마하수 변화에 따른 출력 비교에서도 최대오차율 2.4 % 이내로 프로그램의 신뢰성을 확인하였다. 선형 GPA 기법의 계측변수의 선정에 따른 정확성을 알기 위해 종속변수의 선정을 다르게 하여 오차율을 알아보았다. 성능저하 원인으로는 압축기에만 오염이 발생하였을 경우, 압축기와 압축기 터빈에 각각 오염과 부식이 발생하였을 경우, 압축기 터빈과 동력터빈에 동시에 부식이 발생하였을 경우, 압축기, 압축기 터빈, 동력터빈이 모두 오염과 부식이 발생하였을 경우를 가정하였다. 해석결과 계측기 변수가 많을수록 RMS 오차가 적었으며 같은 수의 계측기 변수라 하더라도 어떠한 변수를 계측하는가에 따라 오차율이 달라짐을 알 수 있었다. 비교적 오차율이 적으면서 경제성이 있는 경우는 8개의 측정변수를 이용한 경우로 최적의 계측기 수 및 계측기 변수 선정이 중요함을 알 수 있었다.

인공지능 및 성능덱 데이터를 이용한 압축기 성능도 식별에 관한 연구 (A Study on Compressor Map Identification using Artificial Intelligent Technique and Performance Deck Data)

  • 가스터번 엔진의 성능을 예측하기 위해서는 자신의 성능 특성을 포함한 구성품 성능도가 요구된다. 본 연구에서는 유전 알고리즘을 이용하여 압축기 성능도를 제작사에서 제공한 성능덱으로부터 역으로 식별하는 방법을 제안하였다. 알고리즘은 경사 로터 방식 스마트 UAV를 위한 PW206C 터보축 엔진에 적용하였다. 제안된 방법을 검증하기 위하여 새롭게 만들어진 압축기 성능도를 이용한 해석 결과와 제작사에서 제공한 EEPP(Estimated Engine Performance Program) 덱(deck)을 이용한 해석 결과를 비교하였다. 또한 기존의 스케일링 방법을 이용하여 얻어진 구성품 성능도를 이용한 해석결과와도 비교하였다. 그 결과 운용 영역이 설계점에서 멀어질수록 기존의 스케일링 방법을 이용한 구성품 성능도를 사용한 경우 오차가 크게 증가하였다. 반면 유전알고리즘을 이용하여 생성된 압축기 성능도를 사용한 경우 EEPP의 해석결과에 더 근접함을 확인할 수 있었다.

오토캐스케이드 방식을 적용한 극저온 칠러 시스템의 실험적 연구 (An Experimental Study of Cryochiller System Using Autocascade)

  • The purpose of this study is to investigate the performance of an autocascade refrigeration system using the refrigerant mixtures of R-134a(64${\sim}$72wt%), R-23(20${\sim}$25wt%) and R-14(8${\sim}$12wt%) as working fluids by experiment. The experimental apparatus consisted of a autocascade system with a compressor, condenser, evaporator, gas-liquid separator and cascade condenser, etc. Two main causes to this failure were considered as follows. First, the pressure ratio in the compressor was extremely increased at the beginning of the experiment. Second, the outlet temperature in compressor was higher than its limited temperature. For a stable operation of the compressor, a portion of the mixed refrigerant was by-passed at the inlet of the heat exchanger and transferred directly to the suction of the compressor in the modified system. The experimental parameters were changed weight of R-134a(1800g, 2800g), R-23(700, 800, 900g) and R-14(300, 400, 500g). The results showed that the best performance in case of R-134a of 2800g, R-23 of 900g and R-14 of 500g.

편집설계 기법을 이용한 압축기 설계 시스템 개발 (Development of a Compressor Design System Using Configuration Design Method)

  • In this research, we developed a design system for a compressor of an air conditioner using solid CAD system. The developed design system has some characteristics. First, the design system used a configuration design method, so a designer can design a compressor very quickly by using the constructed master libraries. Next, the system was developed to be used not only by engineers but also by salesmen. It is very easy for a user to use it, so a salesman can get a result very easily with the design system. And it has some design modules which give a considerable convenience to designers. Actually, designers are accustomed to the module based design. Then, it has calculation and analysis functions. Volume and mass of a part, and interference between parts are calculated by using the geometric calculation function of a solid CAD system. Also a packaging calculation was implemented to get the smallest space to package compressors for transportation and storing. An interface with a program to analyze the vibration of a compressor was developed in this design system. The design system is similar to CBD (Case-Based Design) system in the view of the whole design process.

Environmental awareness and economical profits of replacing gas turbines in gas compressor stations: A case study of Polkalleh station in Iran

  • In early 90s the worldwide awareness about the energy crisis and global warming had been increased and emission reduction (by improving energy efficiency), as well as increasing the capacity of clean and renewable energies, showed themselves as the most important steps towards the sustainable development approach. However, investigations on Iran's environmental situation show huge decline in recent decades and apparently there is no sense of urgency about these issues through the vision of Iranian politicians. In this article the idea of replacing the old gas turbines of Polkalleh natural gas compressor station - as one of the main compressor stations of Iran - with newer and more efficient gas turbines is evaluated, emphatically for reducing greenhouse gases emissions and their environmental costs and decreasing natural gas consumption as well. Clearly such idea is costly, but analyzing its economic impacts, huge declines in annual costs and greenhouse gases emissions can be seen as well. So an investment about $95 million can decrease 40% of Polkalleh compressor station annual costs, 25% of natural consumption and 30% of $CO_2$ and $NO_x$ emissions. Besides the simple payback period of this investment is about 2.5 years from the cut-expenses of annual costs.
