Recently, the Malaysian government had been developing new technologies to the construction industry and one of them is the Industrialised Building System (IBS). The government urged that IBS is 100% utilized in all construction projects. It is believed that the application of IBS helps in reducing construction duration and cost, solving the problems of overflow of foreign workers in the site and improving performance and appearance of a structure. However, there are some parties like the contractor who feel reluctant to utilize this system because there are risks. They worry that their trades will be affected as IBS construct a structure using components which are manufactured in a factory and assemble on site. Therefore, this research is to find out whether IBS benefits the country's economy by focusing on the business created by investing in IBS. A comprehensive supply chain for IBS will be developed to compare with the traditional construction supply chain as to determine businesses or trades created and eliminated. This paper is looking at the theoretical framework about business opportunities due to the Government policy on embarking IBS.
Digital Twin technology is rapidly transforming various industries by providing comprehensive virtual models that replicate physical objects or processes. In the context of agriculture, digital twin can be a game-changer. This technology can help in creating precise simulations of farming scenarios, thereby enabling farmers to make data-driven decisions and optimize farm operations. The potential benefits include improved crop yields, resource efficiency, and environmental sustainability. However, the implementation of digital twin technology in agriculture poses challenges, such as data management issues and the need for robust IoT infrastructure. Despite these hurdles, the future of digital twin in agriculture looks promising, with ongoing research and developments aimed at overcoming these obstacles.
There can be little dissension that the ultimate goal of all physical therapy interventions with the elderly is to restore or maintain the highest level of function possible for the individual. Whenever physical therapists take on this challenge, they assist elders in maintaining their identities as competent adults. Advancing age is associated with profound changes in body composition, including increased fat mass, decreased fat-free mass(particularly muscle), decreased total body water and decreased bone density. Along with these changes in body compositions, and perhaps as a direct result of them, elderly people have lower energy needs, reduced strength and functional capacity and a greatly increased risk for such diseases as noninsulin-dependent diabetes mellitus and osteoporosis. Resistance training is considered a promising intervention for reversing the loss of muscle function and the deterioration of muscle structure that is associated with advanced age. This reversal is thought to result in improvements in functional abilities and health status in the elderly by increasing muscle mass, strength and power and by increasing bone mineral density. In the past couple of decades, many studies have examined the effects of Resistance training on risk factors for age-related diseases or disabilities. We have explored the positive and negative aspects of older adults' participation in resistance training programs. The benefits to older adults are reported to be increased strength, endurance, muscle capacity, and flexibility; more energy; and improved self-image and confidence. The negative aspects include some pain or stiffness and other nonspecific problems. The positive and negative aspects of resistance training are therefore very similar to those in younger populations. Scientific investigations over the past 10 years have demonstrated that resistance training can be safely and successfully implemented in older populations. Even the frail and very sick elderly can benefit and improve their quality of life. Proper design and progression of a resistance training program for older adults is vital to optimal benefits from resistance exercise. The results of data provided by this research on resistance training for health shows that there is enough existing evidence to conclude that resistance training, particularly when incorporated into a comprehensive fitness program, can offer substantial health benefits which can be obtained by persons of all ages. These benefits, including improvements in functional capacity, translate into an improved quality of life.

This study analyzes determinants of strategic marketing alliances' performance using 'continuous use intention' of consumers in the Korean credit card industry. Specifically, this study aims to provide comprehensive and synthetic understanding of these factors divided into firm- level and consumer- level variables. Thirty alliance cards were chosen randomly. For firm- level data, managers from the thirty selected cards were interviewed concerning their respective firm and alliance operation. For collection of consumer- level data, 610 card holders from these thirty cards were surveyed concerning card benefits, benefits information, brand image, and continuous use intention. The hierarchical linear model (HLM) was employed to analyze this multi-level data, yielding the following results: First, consumers identified three factors that positively influence continuous use intention. Second, with respect to firmlevel factors, alliance partner's marketing capability is not positively related to intention, whereas fit of alliance goal influences consumer's continuous use of card. Third, contrary to expectation, the positive interaction effects between consumer level variables and firm level variables were found to be not present.
In the area of such a nature-friendly stream improvement, it is not established yet which engineering method is suitable for stream environment, due to lack of technology. Therefore, although nature-friendly stream improvement was done with expensive engineering method, the effect has not been fully confirmed, which results from the absence of overall valuation tool of stream improvement. In this regard, it is necessary to develop and apply comprehensive and diverse valuation methods covering stream functions to the analysis of stream improvement. In this study, we collected data from years' of monitoring on the Gyeongcheon river, which is located in Sunchang-eup, Jeollabuk-do and recently underwent an nature-friendly stream improvement work. Based on the data, we developed a series of valuation methods such as stream naturalness evaluation, life cycle evaluation, amenity evaluation, and economic benefit analysis to consider the environmental function of stream from a comprehensive perspective. Stream naturalness evaluation is a quantitative analysis of how natural a stream is, and includes additional valuation items such as ecosystem and water quality for the purpose of overall valuation, unlike existing research focusing on physical elements and structural characteristics of a stream. We developed a method of stream valuation with life cycle assessment to river reorganization project. Amenity evaluation method was developed as a means to analyze residents' satisfaction with stream improvement through questionnaires. Economic benefit analysis was developed as a means to determine the attributes of environmental water supply, ecosystem, river maintenance, and water quality and predict economic benefits using contingent valuation method (CVM) and multi-attribute utility analysis (MAUA) method in order to analyze economic benefits brought in by stream improvement. It is considered that the four methods developed in this study make possible to conduct an overall and quantitative analysis of stream improvement.
The purpose of this study was to examine the relationship between the child care support policies and the birth rate in 33 OECD countries. In the structural equation modelling, the birth rate was the dependent variable while the cash-support policies, the child-care facility service policies, and the tax benefits policies were the independent variables. The analysis showed that the most effective factor on the birth rate was the child-care facility service policies. Regarding the effectiveness of the policy expenses, the cash-support policies showed stable fluctuation of effectiveness according to the fluctuation of cash amount, the child-care facility service policies. In conclusion, in order to increase the effectiveness of the cash-support policies, the adequate cost calculation to decrease the parents' burden for child-bearing, re-allocation of budget, and support methods and timing should be continually discussed. In addition, for the better effectiveness of the facility service policies, more various, comprehensive and high-quality facility service policies that could balance home and work, should be implemented.
Objectives: Korean Standard Classification of Functioning, Disability and Health (KCF), a useful tool for a comprehensive consideration of the health-related overall implications, might be also promising way to validate the effectiveness of Korean medicine. This study reports the change of pre- and post-hospitalization using the KCF in a patient with spinal cord infarction who underwent rehabilitation plus Korean medicine treatment. This study aims to apply the KCF to this case, evaluate its applicability, and review its expected benefits and obstacles in the clinical practice of Korean medicine. Methods: The changes in the overall health status of the patient were assessed by the KCF as well as the chief complaints, diagnosis, neurological deficits, and activities of daily living (ADL), impairment scale etc. before and after admission to a Korean medicine hospital were investigated. Results: Most of the chief complaints of the patient were improved enough to perform her daily routine activities independently. These improvements were reflected in the neurological function and ADL scores, but could not change the diagnosis according to the Korean Standard Classification of Diseases nor the impairment scale. The KCF, on the other hand, was able to grasp the changes of the patient in various aspects in terms of body function, body structure, activity and participation, and environmental factors. Conclusions: Through this case, we found the applicability of the KCF in clinical practice of Korean medicine and the possibility that the KCF can be a promising tool to show the effectiveness and benefits of Korean medicine.

At a consequence of WWW large popularity, the internet has suffered from various performance problems, such as network congestion and overloaded servers. These days, it is not uncommon to find servers refusing connections because they are overloaded. Web server performance has always been a key issue in the design and operation of on-line systems. With regard to Internet, performance is also critical, because users want fast and easy access to all objects (e.g., documents, graphics, audio, and video) available on the net. To solve this problem, a number of companies are exploring the benefits of having multiple geographically or locally distributed Internet sites. This requires a comprehensive scheme for traffic management, which includes the principle of an optimal load balancing of client requests across multiple clusters of real servers. This paper focuses on the performance analysis of Web server and we apply these results to load balancing in clustering web server. It also discusses the mam steps needed to carry out a WWW performance analysis effort and shows relations between the workload characteristics and system resource usage. Also, we will introduce an optimal load balancing algorithm base on the RTSM (Real-Time Server Monitor) and Fuzzy Inference Engine for the local status of a real server, and the benefits is provided with of the suggested method.
Purpose: The purpose of the study was to investigate the status of visual health behavior of school-age children and to identify the predicting variables of the school-age children's visual health behavior. Method: The subject was 764 children in grades 4 to 6, enrolled in 2 elementary schools located in urban area. The data were analyzed using t-test, ANOVA, correlation analysis, and stepwise multiple regression. Result: The findings were as follows: 1. The mean of the score of the visual health behavior of school-age children was 41.59(SD=7.22) and there was a significant difference according to grade. 2. There were significant correlations between visual health behavior and self-efficacy for visual health behavior (r=.51, p=.000), motivation for visual health(r=.45, p=.000), perceived benefits(r= .34, p=.000), self-concept(r=.32, p=.000), knowledge of visual health(r=.30, p=.000), health perception for vision(r=.16, p=.000), health locus of control(r=.11, p=.002), and perceived barriers(r=.-.12, p=.000). 3. Self-efficacy for visual health behaviors, knowledge of visual health, motivation for visual health, self-concept, health perception for vision, and perceived benefits were identified as predictor variables of the visual health behavior of the school-age children from the stepwise multiple regression analysis. The total percent of variance accounted by these 6 variables were 36.9%. Conclusion: From the result, it is suggested that the development of comprehensive visual health education program including the component of self-efficacy, health motivation and self-concept to promote the visual health of school-age children.
Essential hypertension is a typical chronic disease requiring adequate and continuous management. Many studies supported that self-care was the essential factor to promote the wellbeing of hypertensives and self-efficacy increased healthy, behavior. The comprehensive self-regulation program was conducted as a nursing intervention on the promotion self-care performance for hypertensives in company. And this self-regulation program was recommended to apply for hypertensives in rural area. The purpose of this study is to identify the general characteristics affecting self-care and interrelationship among the factors including self-care, self-efficacy, HLOC, perceived benefits, barriers and family support. 40 subjects were interviewed from Dec. 1996 to Jan. 1997 and the data was analyzed by the SPSS PC+ program with t-test and multiple correlation to determine the variables affecting the self-care behavior. The results were as follows: 1) Level of self-care was significant difference according to sex(t= -2.27, p=.0l9). religion (t=1.57, p=.055) and smoking habit (t=4.42, P=.000). Perceived self-efficacy was more significantly high among the non-smoking group (t=3.25, P=.000) and female group (t=-2.534, p=.0l3). 2) There were significant positive correlation among the variables: self-care and self-efficacy (r=.5460, p=.000), external-LOC and self-care(r=.2548, p=.056), external-LOC and self-efficacy(r =. 2901, p=.035), self-efficacy and perceived benefits (r=3307, p=.019). And there were significant negative correlation between self-care and barriers (r=-.5438, p=. 000), self-efficacy and barriers (r= - .4153, p=.004). From the above results, it can be concluded that the self-care is more required in male hypertensives and self-efficacy is one of the important factors to increase healthy behavior in cluding self-care. Thus self-regulation program can be recommended in the management of the hypertensives in community settings.
