열-랜덤 음향 하중을 받는 보강된 복합재 패널의 비선형 진동 해석 (Nonlinear Vibration Analyses of Stiffened Composite Panels under Combined Thermal and Random Acoustic Loads)

  • This study using ABAQUS investigates the nonlinear vibration responses when thermal and random acoustic loads are applied simultaneously to the stiffened composite panels. The nonlinear vibration analyses are performed with changing the number of stiffeners, and layup condition of the skin panel. The panel and stiffeners both are modeled using shell elements. Thermal load (ΔT) is assumed to have the temperature gradient through the thickness direction of the stiffened composite panel. The random acoustic load is represented as stationary white-Gaussian random pressure with zero mean and uniform magnitude over the panels. The thermal postbuckling analysis is conducted using RIKS method, and the nonlinear dynamic analysis is performed using Hilber-HughesTaylor time integration method. When ΔT = 25.18 ℃ and SPL = 105 dB are applied to the stiffened composite panel, the effect of the number of stiffener is investigated, and the snap-through responses are observed for composite panels without stiffeners and with 1 and 3 stiffeners. For investigation of the effect of layup condition of the skin panel, when ΔT = 38.53 ℃ and SPL = 110 dB are applied to the stiffened composite panel, the snap-through responses are shown when the fiber angle of the skin panel is 0°, 30°, and 60°.

논문 : 복합재료 항공기 동체 부품 설계 (Papers : Component Design of a composite Aircraft Fuselage)

  • 항공기 동체의 주 구조를 이루는 스킨, 스트링거, 프레임을 복합재료 부재료 대체하여 파손 및 좌굴에 대해 유한요소해석을 수행하였다. 각 부재의 하중은 기존 항공기 MD90-30의 하중을 적용하였으며, 스트링거, 프레임은 I, Z, T-type의 3가지 단면형상을 선정하여 해석하였다. 복합재료 부재의 적층각, 적층수에 따른 부재의 특성을 알아보고, 단면형상에 대한 비교를 수행하였다. 해석결과 파손은 적층각에 좌굴은 적층수에 많은 영향을 받으며, 스킨, 스트링거는 좌굴이 프레임은 축방향 하중에 의한 파손이 부재 설계의 중요한 요소임을 알 수 있었다. 스트링거, 프레임은 준등방성 적층의 경우 [0/60/-60]적층이 좋은 결과를 갖는 것을 알 수 있었고 단면형상에 대해서는 I-type이 가장 좋은 결과를 보였다. 또한 기존 알루미늄 부재와의 비교를 통해 복합재료 부재의 경량성을 확인할 수 있었다.

  • Excellent environmental durability and handy installation procedure as well as high specific strength and stiffness have introduced fiber-reinforced polymeric composite materials into the civil and architectural engineering field. This study presents the considerably enhanced strength characteristics of the mortal beams by being reinforced with epoxy-bonded carbon fiber sheets(CFS). Three point bending and Charpy impact tests were performed on both of bare and reinforced mortar specimens. The influences of length, and the number of reinforcing plies were investigated. Strength reduction due to pre-existent notch was lessened dramatically. The acoustic emission(AE) measurement revealed the progressive damage process in reinforced specimens.

  • Composite resin have very important roles as a esthetic fillng material. Today we are confusing by a numerous number of the polymer options in the market. Are there any complications such as tooth sensitivity? Do they have stabilization in the long term aspect? These are the reasons why many dentists don't use composite resin in my country. But the problems can be overcome by choosing the best suited materials and meticulous clinical procedures. So that we are able to expand our clinical boundary. I would like to introduce the clinical techniques of Dr.Gordon Christensen in Utah, and overall clinical cases under the base of CRA newsletter.

  • The free vibration analyses of the isotropic and CFRP laminated composite rectangular plates with point supports at the fix edge is performed by FEM. We showed optimal position and mode shape of point supports that maximized fundamental natural frequency of the isotropic and CFRP laminated composite rectangular plates by each aspect ratio and the number of point supports.

  • Fatigue life Prediction is investigated analytically based on the fatigue modulus concept. Fatigue modulus degradation rate at any fatigue cycle was assumed as a power function of number of fatigue cycles. New stress function describing the relation of initial fatigue modulus and elastic modulus was used to account for material non-linearity at the first cycle. It was assumed that fatigue modulus at failure is proportional to applied stress level. A new fatigue life prediction equation as a function of applied stress is proposed. The prediction was verified experimentally using cross-ply carbon/epoxy laminate (CFRP) tube.

터어빈 회전차를 모델로하는 복합 히이트파이프의 전열특성에 대한 연구 (A Study on the Heat Transfer Characteristics in the Composite Heat Pipe as Modeling Turbine Rotor)

  • 본 연구의 목적은 터어빈 회전차를 모델로한 복합회전형 히이트파이프의 전열특성을 실험과 유한요소의 해석법에 의하여 연구한 것이다. 입열량과 회전수에 따른 Nu, Re, Pr 그리고 무차원 응축액막두께가 변수로 사용되었다. 해석과 실험치는 거의 유사한 경향으로 일치하였으며, 연구결과는 복합히이트파이프 성능예측을 하는데 도움을 주었다. 복합회전형 히이트파이프에서의 열저항은 응축액막두께가 감소함에 따라 응축부의 열전달은 급격히 증가하였고, 응축액막두께는 복합회전형 히이트파이프의 전열 특성에 가장 큰 영향을 주었다. 주어진 Pr에서 Re가 변화함에 따라 무차원 응축액막두께가 일정한값으로 나타났고,무차원 응축액막두께는 회전수의 역수의 제곱근에 비례하였다. 본 연구의 해석적 방법에 의해서 Nu=A$({\delta}({\omega}/v)^{-1/2}Re^B)$라는 식을 구했고, 이때 A=0.963, B=0.5025의 값을 얻었다.

  • Future bridge decks must have high load-resistance capacity as well as fatigue strength to withstand the increase in traffic loading and the increase in span length between girders due to the decrease in the number of main girders. Steel-concrete composite bridge decks may be proper deck types to satisfy such requirements. To promote the application of composite bridge decks, a rational process to predict and evaluate the fatigue behavior of steel concrete composite bridge deck is required. Various types of steel-concrete composite bridge decks have been developed in many countries. In this study, combining advantages of the existing composite deck types, a new type of composite bridge deck is proposed. An experimental study is performed to examine the fatigue behavior of the proposed composite bridge deck. This composite bridge deck consists of corrugated steel sheet, welded T-beams, stud-type shear connectors and reinforced concrete filler. The fatigue tests are conducted under four-point bending test with three different stress ranges in constant amplitude. The fatigue category of the fillet welding between corrugated steel sheet and the T-beam is evaluated based on the S-N data obtained from the experiment.

Practical and efficient approaches for semi-rigid design of composite frames

  • The use of composite semi-rigid connections is not fully exploited, in spite of its great number of advantages. Composite semi-rigid connections may lead to an optimal moment distribution that will render lighter structures. Furthermore, using the appropriate semi-rigid connection design, the stability of the frames against lateral loads may entirely rely on the joint stiffness, thus avoiding bracing systems and permitting more diaphanous designs. Although modern codes, such as the Eurocode 4 (EC4), propose thorough methods of analysis they do not provide enough insight and simplicity from the design point of view. The purpose of this paper is to introduce practical and efficient methods of analysis that will facilitate the work of a structural analyst starting from the global analysis of the composite frame and ending on the final connection design. A key aspect is the definition of the stiffness and strength of the connections that will lead to an optimal moment distribution in the composite beams. Two examples are presented in order to clarify the application of the proposed methods and to demonstrate the advantages of the semi-rigid composite design with respect to the alternative pinned and rigid ones. The final aim of the paper is to stimulate and encourage the designer on the use of composite semi-rigid structures.
