TRELSS를 이용한 전력계통의 확률론적 신뢰도 평가 I (Probabilistic Reliability Evaluation of Power System using TRELSS I)

  • In recent, the importance and necessity of some studies on reliability evaluation of grid comes from the recent black-out accidents occurred in the world. The quantity evaluation of transmission system reliability is very important under competitive electricity environment. The reason is that the successful operation of electric power under the deregulated electricity market depends on transmission system reliability management. This paper introduces features and operation modes of the Transmission Reliability Evaluation for Large-Scale Systems(TRELSS) Version 5_1, a program made in EPRI, for assessing reliability indices of composite power system. The package accesses not only bulk but also buses indices for reliability evaluation of composite powers system. The characteristics of the TRELSS program are illustrated by the case studies using the IEEE 25buses system.

  • This paper suggests the power system reliability evaluation fur transmission lines planning in composite power systems. In recent the importance and necessity of some studies on reliability evaluation of grid comes from the recent black-out accidents occurred in the world. Since probabilistic criterion can reflect recognize the probabilistic nature of system components, the application of probabilistic criterion has received a lot of attention. This paper introduces features and operation modes of the Transmission Reliability Evaluation fur Large-Scale Systems(TRELSS) Version 6.2, a program made in EPRI, for assessing reliability indices of composite power system. The characteristics of the TRELSS program are illustrated by the case studies using the KEPCO system.

Numerical approaches for vibration response of annular and circular composite plates

  • In the present investigation, by using the two numerical methods, free vibration analysis of laminated annular and annular sector plates have been studied. In order to obtain the main equations two different shell theories such as Love's shell theory and first-order shear deformation theory (FSDT) have been used for modeling. After obtaining the fundamental equations in briefly, the methods of harmonic differential quadrature (HDQ) and discrete singular convolution (DSC) are used to solve the equation of motion. Accuracy, convergence and reliability of the present HDQ and DSC methods were tested by comparing the existing results obtained by different methods in the literature. The effects of some geometric and material properties of the plates are investigated via these two methods. The advantages and accuracy of the HDQ and DSC methods have also been examined with different grid numbers and shell theory. Some results for laminated annular plates and laminated circular plates were also been supplied.

Buckling analysis of functionally graded plates resting on elastic foundation by natural element method

  • Functionally graded material (FGM) has been spotlighted as an advanced composite material due to its excellent thermo-mechanical performance. And the buckling of FGM resting on elastic foundations has been a challenging subject because its behavior is directly connected to the structural safety. In this context, this paper is concerned with a numerical buckling analysis of metal-ceramic FG plates resting on a two-parameter (Pasternak-type) elastic foundation. The buckling problem is formulated based on the neutral surface and the (1,1,0) hierarchical model, and it is numerically approximated by 2-D natural element method (NEM) which provides a high accuracy even for coarse grid. The derived eigenvalue equations are solved by employing Lanczos and Jacobi algorithms. The numerical results are compared with the reference solutions through the benchmark test, from which the reliability of present numerical method has been verified. Using the developed numerical method, the critical buckling loads of metal-ceramic FG plates are parametrically investigated with respect to the major design parameters.

형상보건을 이용한 유한요소 격자생성

  • A three dimensional FE mesh generation scheme based on mapping approach is proposed in this study. A volume in Euclcdian space is represented by composite hyperpatches which are piecewise cubic functions with parameters u,v,w. A key idea in the proposed approach is that sampled grid data points only on the boundary surfaces are needed for the shape representation. Inner points which are necessary of form a hyperpatch are internally generated by Coons patches. This approach is most appropriate for the shapes which are compositions of hexahedron-like shapes and also severely curved.

그리드형 보강재와 분산성 섬유를 활용한 도로 포장층의 현장 적용 특성 (The Field Applicability of Road Pavement Layer with Grid Typed Reinforcement and Dispersive Fiber)

  • 본 논문에서는 재활용 필름을 사용한 친환경 그리드형 보강재와 사전에 충진재의 혼입을 통해 분산성을 향상시킨 섬유를 도로 포장층에 복합적으로 적용한 공법의 현장 적용성을 분석하였다. 그리드형 보강재를 구성하고 있는 필름은 폐기된 PE수지를 재활용하여 친환경성을 강조하였고, 아스콘 혼입 섬유는 아스콘 충진재의 사전 혼입을 통한 섬유의 분산성을 확보한 것이다. 복합 섬유를 혼입한 교량 포장층을 시공함에 있어 발생할 수 있는 제반 상황을 사전에 인지할 수 있도록, Mock Up 포장층에 대한 기본적인 성능 분석을 실시하였다. 분석 결과, 친환경 그리드 보강재와 분산성 섬유를 함유한 포장층에서 강도 및 응력, 처짐 저항성에서 모두 기능성이 향상된 것을 확인할 수 있었다. 그러므로, 섬유 실제 현장 적용시 친환경성 재료 도입과 더불어 안전성 측면에도 효율적인 공법이라고 판단된다.

전지구 고해상도 수문모델 적용을 위한 격자유량 추정 방법 적용 연구 (Application of a Method Estimating Grid Runoff for a Global High-Resolution Hydrodynamic Model)

  • In order to produce more detailed and accurate information of river discharge and freshwater discharge, global high-resolution hydrodynamic model (CaMa-Flood) is applied to an operational land surface model of global seasonal forecast system. In addition, bias correction to grid runoff for the hydrodynamic model is attempted. CaMa-Flood is a river routing model that distributes runoff forcing from a land surface model to oceans or inland seas along continentalscale rivers, which can represent flood stage and river discharge explicitly. The runoff data generated by the land surface model are bias-corrected by using composite runoff data from UNH-GRDC. The impact of bias-correction on the runoff, which is spatially resolved on 0.5° grid, has been evaluated for 1991~2010. It is shown that bias-correction increases runoff by 30% on average over all continents, which is closer to UNH-GRDC. Two experiments with coupled CaMa-Flood are carried out to produce river discharge: one using this bias correction and the other not using. It is found that the experiment adapting bias correction exhibits significant increase of both river discharge over major rivers around the world and continental freshwater discharge into oceans (40% globally), which is closer to GRDC. These preliminary results indicate that the application of CaMa-Flood as well as bias-corrected runoff to the operational global seasonal forecast system is feasible to attain information of surface water cycle from a coupled suite of atmospheric, land surface, and hydrodynamic model.

  • 본 논문은 복합재의 3차원 파괴거동에 대한 기초 연구의 하나로, 탄성 계수가 서로 다른 물체로 구성된 2상접합재에서 군열선단의 국소영역에서의 3차원적인 파괴거동을 위의 매입격자법을 적용하여 균열선단의 3차원적인 변형율 분포상태와 노치로부터의 군열발생점 및 그 진행 방향과의 상관 관계를 살펴보았다.

  • This study aims to identify the dimensions of trade show performance in Iranian trade shows and apply the revised importance-performance analysis. The IPA method integrates two types of indirect importance and a composite I-P mapping using traditional four-quadrants, as well as a diagonal line on a two-dimensional grid. Based on the analysis results, this study presents several suggestions to contribute to the development of the trade show industry. First, it is noted that the dimensionality of trade show performance in a developing country context can be different from that of prior literature. Taking different industry development stages of a show hosting countries, examining the dimensions of each trade show performance with every effort to derive proper exhibitors' implications is necessary. Second, the use of statically-derived importance is recommended while considering respondents' convenience to reduce their time and fatigue when collecting data at the busy booths. Further, applying composite I-P mapping is suggested as an effective diagnostic tool to provide optimal trade show strategies for the exhibitors under the dynamic and ever-changing global business environment.

화강풍화토 뒤채움흙 내부 토목섬유 복합보강재의 거동특성에 관한 기초연구 (A Fundamental Study on Behavior Characteristics of the Geosynthetic Composite Reinforcement in the Weathered Granite Backfill Soils)

  • 본 연구의 최종 목표는, 세립분이 비교적 많이 포함된 우리나라에 폭넓게 분포되어 손쉽게 얻을 수 있는 화강풍화토를 뒤채움흙으로 활용하는 토목섬유 보강토벽체 시스템을 체계화하는 데 있다. 이를 위한 단계적 노력의 일환으로, 우선 본 논문에서는, 인장보강 기능이 우수한 지오그리드와 배수기능이 탁월한 부직포 지오텍스타일을 병행하여 포설하는 형태의 토목섬유 복합보강재의 마찰특성 등 상호관련거동에 대한 분석에 초점을 두고, 실내인발시험 및 유한요소 수치모델링 해석 등을 수행하였으며, 또한 지오그리드 하부에 설치되는 부직포의 배수효과를 간접적으로 살펴보기 위한 유한차분 수치모델링 해석을 추가로 시행하였다. 이를 통해 부직포의 배수효과와 더불어, 화강풍화토 뒤채움흙 내부 복합보강재의 경우 전반적으로 비교적 작은 크기의 변위가 유발되는 효과와, 인발에 대한 저항능력도 상대적으로 큰 특징을 확인하였다.
