A Component Composition Testing Technique in CBSD (CBSD에서의 컴포넌트 조립 테스트 기법)

  • An application in Component-Based Software Development (CBSD) is built by 'composing'two kinds of components; One is a component that is made by current developer himself, and the other is a component that is from other developments. We define the former as a 'White-box component' and the latter as a 'Black-box component.' The error from the composition can be said to be caused by interactions of Black-box components and White-box components. This paper proposes a new testing technique for composition errors, and applies the technique to Enterprise Java Beans component architecture. Our technique selects test cases by injecting a fault only into the specific parts of a White-box component. This specific parts for injecting a fault are selected by analyzing composition patterns, and lead to make our test cases have a good effectiveness. We show the effectiveness of our test cases through an experiment. Moreover, we also mention an automation tool for our technique.

  • A test range for a 75tf class gas generator cycle liquid propellant rocket engine is defined. The engine system test range is defined by the performance variation during flight, the dispersion after engine calibration, and additional margin. The component development test range includes the operation range corresponding to the engine system test range and the component performance margin.

  • In the testing of a software component-based robot system, generating test cases for the system is a time-consuming and difficult task that requires the combining of test data. This paper proposes an adaptive combinatorial testing method which is based on the input/output relationship among components and which automatically generates the test cases for the system. The proposed algorithm first generates an input/output relationship graph in order to analyze the input/output relationship of the system. It then generates the reduced set of test cases according to the analyzed type of input/output relationship. To validate the proposed algorithm some comparisons are given in terms of the time complexity and the number of test cases.

  • The test technique for the failure caused by interaction between the customized interface and core function is necessary. We propose a component customization test technique by using the fault injection technique and the mutation test case selection technique. Our technique injects fault into where the customization failure may take place and selects the test case that differentiates the fault-injected component from the customized-component. Therefore, our test case has a good fault-detectability and can reduce the testing time by injecting a fault only into a place where the customization failure may take place in the interface.

  • Multi-axial simulation table(MAST) is widely used in motor companies as the multi-axial excitor for vibration fatigue of target component, which provides the vibrational condition as close as the vehicle test. However, the vibration fatigue performance of target component can be guaranteed with MAST system only in case the input profile covers the required severity of the target component on field test. In this paper, the signal processing for multi-axial vibration fatigue test on vehicle component is presented, from the data acquisition of the target component to the derivation of input profile. To compare the severity of vibration condition between field and proving ground, the energy principle of a equivalent damage is proposed and then, it is determined the optimal combination of special events on proving ground using a sequential searching optimal algorithm. To explain the vibration methodology clearly, seat and door component of vehicle are selected as a example.

  • What kind of the mini-component the X-generation wanted\ulcorner It is not easy to find a mini-component which everbody can satisfy with a design and functions. By pre-test of the survey the most wanted things in the mini-component was extracted. By the post-test of the survey the newly design with a price of 500, 000 won. In this paper we try to suggest a mini-component whic X-generation can satisfy with a design and functions. Therefore, this new designed mini-component can give a visual happiness and enjoyment of the sound.

  • Abstract- In this paper tribological characteristics of solid and liquid phase sintered W/C-35%Ni tappets were investigated. Three test methods were performed to investigate the wear and surface damage mechanism of sintered tappets. First, block-on-ring wear test was performed to investigate the wear characteristics under pure sliding condition. Second, simplified cam and tappet tests (called component wear test hereafter) were carried out to simulate the real contact history of cam and tappet. Also, after the test, contact surfaces were analyzed with scanning electron microscope to study the wear mechanism. As a final screening, engine dynamo tests were performed. Results showed that in the block on ring sliding wear test, solid phase sintered specimens showed superior wear resistance to liquid phase sintered specimens. The component wear tests and engine dynamo tests also showed the same results. Therefore, in these tests, solid phase sintered tappet material revealed superior wear resistant properties to liquid phase sintered one.

  • Internal replaceable electronic module substitutions can impact EMC (ElectroMagnetic Compatibility) qualification testing and results if EMC testing is conducted at the cabinet level. The impact of component substitutions on EMC qualification results therefore should be evaluated. If a qualitative evaluation is not adequate to ensure that the modified product will not impact the cabinet level EMC qualification results, a new qualification testing should be conducted. Component level retesting should be conducted under electromagnetically equivalent conditions with the cabinet level test. This paper analyzes the propagation of conducted susceptibility test waveforms in a representative cabinet and evaluates the impact of component substitutions on cabinet level EMC qualification results according to the location of the replacement items. A guideline for a qualitative evaluation of the impact of component substitutions is described based on the propagation of the conducted susceptibility test waveforms. A module level test method is also described based on an analysis of the shielding effectiveness of the cabinet.

  • A turbopump for a 75 ton class liquid rocket engine was tested at full speed for 20 seconds using model fluid. Liquid nitrogen is used for the oxidizer pump, water for the fuel pump, and hot gas for the turbine. The non-cavitating head of pump from the turbopump assembly test showed a good agreement with that from the pump component test. The relative difference of turbine efficiency between the turbopump assembly test and the turbine component test was 0.3% only. Suction performance from the turbopump assembly test was higher than that of pump component test, which resulted from the thermodynamic effect of cavitation.
