  • 컴퓨터 게임은 소프트웨어 분야의 새로운 고부가가치 영역으로 발전되어가고 있으나 개발의 공정과 방법론에 있어서는 경험중심의 개발 방법을 고수하고 있으며 높은 자유도와 사용자 환경에 적응할 수 있는 빠른 패치의 개발에는 적합하지 못할 뿐 아니라 개발공정의 정형화 미비 등 많은 문제점을 가지고 있다. 본 논문은 이러한 문제를 지원할 수 있는 컴포넌트를 기반으로 한 게임엔진 개발방법에 적용할 수 있는 컴포넌트 저장소의 설계에 대하여 논하였다.

Hybrid Pattern Recognition Using a Combination of Different Features

  • We propose a hybrid pattern recognition method that effectively combines two different features for improving data classification. We first extract the PCA (Principal Component Analysis) and LDA (Linear Discriminant Analysis) features, both of which are widely used in pattern recognition, to construct a set of basic features, and then evaluate the separability of each basic feature. According to the results of evaluation, we select only the basic features that contain a large amount of discriminative information for construction of the combined features. The experimental results for the various data sets in the UCI machine learning repository show that using the proposed combined features give better recognition rates than when solely using the PCA or LDA features.

  • In this paper, the study focus on continuous query in EPC Information Services(EPCIS) middleware which is a component of RFID system. We can consider EPCIS as a data stream system with a repository. In our work continuous query is implemented in two query execution model. One is standing query model another is traditional query execution model in which continuous query run over database periodically. Furthermore a balance strategy is presented. It is used to determine which continuous query implementation model is suitable for the query. Finally we conclude our work and issue some research topic for future work.

  • In this paper, We describe the XML-based Web content management system that supports the efficient dynamic content publishing environment. EasyCM is designed based on Cocoon2 that is the XML publishing framework. We propose the publishing mechanism to support the efficient dynamic content publishing environment to expand into the available dynamic content caching to Cocoon2. Publishing mechanism of EasyCM draws XML object from content repository, associates XML with XSLT, creates and caches content components preprocessing HTML transformation process, and publish web pages constructed into cached content component. For supporting more efficient caching, EasyCM supports also content component update, two update method that is immediately-update and delay-update for updated content component.

R&D Review on the Gap Fill of an Engineered Barrier for an HLW Repository (고준위폐기물처분장 공학적방벽의 갭채움재 기술현황)

  • In a high-level waste repository, the gap fill of the engineered barrier is an important component that influences the performance of the buffer and backfill. This paper reviewed the overseas status of R&D on the gap fill used engineered barriers, through which the concept of the gap fill, manufacturing techniques, pellet-molding characteristics, and emplacement techniques were summarized. The concept of a gap fill differs for each country depending on its disposal type and concept. Bentonite has been considered a major material of a gap fill, and clay as an inert filler. Gap fill was used in the form of pellets, granules, or a pellet-granule blend. Pellets are manufactured through one of the following techniques: static compaction, roller compression, or extrusion-cutting. Among these techniques, countries have focused on developing advanced technologies of roller compression and extrusion-cutting techniques for industrial pellet production. The dry density and integrity of the pellet are sensitive to water content, constituent material, manufacturing technique, and pellet size, and are less sensitive to the pressure applied during the manufacturing. For the emplacement of the gap fill, pouring, pouring and tamping, and pouring with vibration techniques were used in the buffer gap of the vertical deposition hole; blowing through the use of shotcrete technology and auger placement and compaction techniques have been used in the gap of horizontal deposition hole and tunnel. However, these emplacement techniques are still technically at the beginning stage, and thus additional research and development are expected to be needed.

Business Process Design to Apply ebXML Framework to the Port and Logistics Distribution Industry (ebXML 적용을 위한 항만물류산업 비즈니스 프로세스 설계)

  • EDI (Electronic Data Interchange) has been widely utilized to support Business Activities since it has such advantages as fast transfer of information, less documentation work, efficient information exchange etc. Recently e-business environment has urged the traditional EDI system to be changed to ebXML framework. To apply the ebXML framework to a certain industry, it is required to implement Business Process (BP), Core Component (CC), Collaboration Protocol Profile (CPP), Collaboration Protocol Agreement (CPA), Messaging system etc. We have selected the port and logistics industry as a target domain to apply ebXML framework, since the EDI usage ratio of it is relatively higher than other industries. In this paper, we have analyzed the current status of EDI system and transaction processes in the port and logistics industry. We have defined the business process that will be registered in the registry/repository, the main component of ebXML framework, using UN/CEFACT modeling methodology. And Business Collaborations, Business Transactions, Business Document Flows, Choreography, Pattern, etc. are represented using UML according to UN/ CEFACT modeling methodology, to apply ebXML Framework to the port and logistics distribution industry. Also we have suggested the meta methodology for applying the ebXML framework to other industries.

  • this paper, we propose a flexible, reusable, and extensible HL7 encoding and decoding framework using a Message Object Model (MOM) and Message Definition Repository (MDR). The MOM provides an abstract HL7 message form represented by a group of objects and their relationships. It reflects logical relationships among the standard HL7 message elements such as segments, fields, and components, while enforcing the key structural constraints imposed by the standard. Since the MOM completely eliminates the dependency of the HL7 encoder and decoder on platform-specific data formats, it makes it possible to build the encoder and decoder as reusable standalone software components, enabling the interconnection of arbitrary heterogeneous hospital information systems(HISs) with little effort. Moreover, the MDR, an external database of key definitions for HL7 messages, helps make the encoder and decoder as resilient as possible to future modifications of the standard HL7 message formats. It is also used by the encoder and decoder to perform a well formedness check for their respective inputs (i. e., HL7 message objects expressed in the MOM and encoded HL7 message strings). Although we implemented a prototype version of the encoder and decoder using JAVA, they can be easily packaged and delivered as standalone components using the standard component frameworks like ActiveX, JAVABEAN, or CORBA component.

A Study on GIS Component Classification considering Functional/Non-Functional Elements (기능적/비기능적 요소를 고려한 GIS 컴포넌트 분류에 관한 연구)

  • Recently software industry in GIS(geographic information system) becomes an interesting issue by performing a large scale of national GIS application development as well as even small unit of FMS(facility management system). Also, there exist many cases to combine GIS with various business domains such as MIS(marketing information system), CNS(car navigation system) and ITS(intelligent transportation system). In this situation, in order to develop an efficient and useful GIS application for a short term, there must be a deep consideration of not only developing GIS component but also managing GIS component. In fact, even though there exist many certain components having high reusability, excellent interoperability and good quality, their reusability may be reduced because of their difficulty to access in a certain repository. Therefore, it is important to classify components having common characteristic based on their particular rule with reflecting their functionality and non-functionality before cataloging them. Here, there are two non-functional classification categories discussed such as GIS content-dependent metadata and GIS content-independent metadata. This cataloged components will help application developers to select easily their desired components. Moreover, new components may be easily producted by modifying and combining previous components. Finally, the original goal of all this effort can be defined through obtaining high reusability and interoperability of GIS component.

Use of Multivariate Statistical Approaches for Decoding Chemical Evolution of Groundwater near Underground Storage Caverns (다변량통계기법을 이용한 지하저장시설 주변의 지하수질 변동에 관한 연구)

  • Multivariate statistical analyses have been extensively applied to hydrochemical measurements to analyze and interpret the data. This study examines anthropogenic factors obtained from applications of correspondence analysis (CA) and principal component analysis (PCA) to a hydrogeochemical data set. The goal was to synthesize the hydrogeochemical information using these multivariate statistical techniques by incorporating hydrogeochemical speciation results calculated by the program, commonly used, WATEQ4F included in the NETPATH. The selected case study was LPG underground storage caverns, which is located in the southeastern Korea. The highly alkaline groundwaters at this study area are an analogue for the repository system. High pH, speciation of Al and possible precipitation of calcite characterize these groundwaters. Available groundwater quality monitoring data were used to confirm these statistical models. The present study focused on understanding the hydrogeochemical attributes and establishing the changes of phase when two anthropogenic effects (i.e., disinfection activity and cement pore water) in the study area have been introduced. Comparisons made between two statistical results presented and the findings of previous investigations highlight the descriptive capabilities of PCA using calculated saturation index and CA as exploratory tools in hydrogeochemical research.

Resource Scheduling Framework based on Resource Parameter Graph (자원인자 기반 스케줄링 프레임워크)

  • For the implementation of large scale GRID systems, the performance scalability in resource scheduling is clearly to be addressed. In this research, we analyzed existing scheduling frameworks from the viewpoint of the performance and propose a novel resource scheduling framework called resource parameter based scheduling. Proposed scheduling framework consists of three components. The first is the resource parameter graph that expresses resource information via inter-resource relation and the composition base on the hierarchical structure. The second component is the resource parameter tree to be used for the implementation of the memory-based index of resource information. The third component is the resource information repository which mostly consists of static data to be used for the general resource information services. This paper presents the details of the framework.
