신쾌환의 현미감정연구 (Microscopic Identification of the Chinese Patent Medicine "Shin Kwae Hwan")

  • Shin Kwae Hwan(神快丸) is a Chinese patent medicine which has been used for polymyositis, trigeminal neuralgiaand ischiodynia in Korea. It consists of 15 kinds of powdered crude drugs. In powered crude drugs, it is hard to identify each component by chemical analysis or morphological examination. However, the method of identification of powdered crude drugs has not been clearly established. For the identification of individual crude drugs in such powdery mixtures, microscopic method may advantageously be used, as it requires only small amount of specimens. In this study, it is demonstrated that the microscopic method is very effective for the identification of 15 crude drug ingredients in Shin Kwae Hwan.

  • 'An Che Whan(安滯九)' is a Chinese patent medicine which has been used for gastric ulcer and digestive disorder in Korea. It consists of 15 kinds of powdered crude drugs. In powdered crude drugs, it is hard to identify each component by chemical analysis or morphological examination. However, the method of identification of powdered crude drugs has not been clearly established. For the identification of individual crude drugs in such powdery mixtures, a microscopic method may be used conveniently as it requires only a small amount of specimens. In this study, it is demonstrated that the microscopic method is very effective fer the identification of the 15 crude drug ingredients in An Che Whan.

  • Man Kyung Dan(萬經丹) is a Chinese patent medicine which has been used for rheumatic neuralgia, apoplexy, extremitas neurolepsis in Korea. It consists of 16 kinds of powdered crude drugs. In powered crude drugs, it is hard to identify each component by chemical analysis or morphological examination. However, the method of identification of powdered crude drugs has not been clearly established. For the identification of individual crude drugs in such powdery mixtures, microscopic method may advantageously be used, as it requires only small amount of specimens. In this study, it is demonstrated that the microscopic method is very effective for the identification of 16 crude drug ingredients in Man kyung Dan.

However, the method of identification of powdered crude drugs has not been clearly established. For the identification of individual crude drugs in such powdery mixtures, microscopic method may advantageously be used as it requires only a small amount specimens. In this study, it is demonstrated that the microscopic method is very effective for the identification of 14 crude drug ingredients in Hwan So Dan.

In powered crude drugs, it is hard to identify each component by chemical analysis or morphological examination. However, the method of identification of powdered crude drugs has not been clearly established. For the identification of individual crude drugs in such powdery mixtures, microscopic method may advantageously be used, as it requires only small amount of specimens. In this study, it is demonstrated that the microscopic method is very effective for the identification of 24 crude drug ingredients in Dae Jeong Hwan.

PCA 퍼지 혼합 모델을 이용한 화자 식별 (Speaker Identification Using PCA Fuzzy Mixture Model)

  • In this paper, we proposed the principal component analysis (PCA) fuzzy mixture model for speaker identification. A PCA fuzzy mixture model is derived from the combination of the PCA and the fuzzy version of mixture model with diagonal covariance matrices. In this method, the feature vectors are first transformed by each speaker's PCA transformation matrix to reduce the correlation among the elements. Then, the fuzzy mixture model for speaker is obtained from these transformed feature vectors with reduced dimensions. The orthogonal Gaussian Mixture Model (GMM) can be derived as a special case of PCA fuzzy mixture model. In our experiments, with having the number of mixtures equal, the proposed method requires less training time and less storage as well as shows better speaker identification rate compared to the conventional GMM. Also, the proposed one shows equal or better identification performance than the orthogonal GMM does.

PCA-based neuro-fuzzy model for system identification of smart structures

  • This paper proposes an efficient system identification method for modeling nonlinear behavior of civil structures. This method is developed by integrating three different methodologies: principal component analysis (PCA), artificial neural networks, and fuzzy logic theory, hence named PANFIS (PCA-based adaptive neuro-fuzzy inference system). To evaluate this model, a 3-story building equipped with a magnetorheological (MR) damper subjected to a variety of earthquakes is investigated. To train the input-output function of the PANFIS model, an artificial earthquake is generated that contains a variety of characteristics of recorded earthquakes. The trained model is also validated using the1940 El-Centro, Kobe, Northridge, and Hachinohe earthquakes. The adaptive neuro-fuzzy inference system (ANFIS) is used as a baseline. It is demonstrated from the training and validation processes that the proposed PANFIS model is effective in modeling complex behavior of the smart building. It is also shown that the proposed PANFIS produces similar performance with the benchmark ANFIS model with significant reduction of computational loads.

  • 부하특성의 모델링은 부하의 비선형특성 때문에 어려운 문제이다. 이 연구는 부하특성을 표현하기 위하여 비선형 문제를 근사화 할 수 있는 신경회로망을 이용하였다. 대표적인 개별부하를 선정하고 전압과 주파수 변화에 대한 유효, 무효전력의 응답을 실험을 통해 얻었다. 그리고 개별부하특성을 식별하기 위하여 실험자료를 근거로 신경회로망을 구축하고 학습하였다. 학습된 신결회로망은 또다른 전압, 주파수 변화에 대한 개별부하의 특성을 식별하였다. 아울러 제안된 방법의 타당성을 입증하기 위하여 식별된 결과를 제시하였다.

  • PD(partial discharge) occurred from variable PD sources in air may be the cause of breakdown in high voltage equipment which affect huge outage in power system. Identification and localization of PD sources is very important for engineer to cope with huge accident beforhand. PD phenomena can be detected by acoustic emission sensor or electromagnetic sensor like antenna. This paper has investigated the identification method using PCA(principal component analysis) for the PD signals from variable PD sources, for which the electric field distribution and PD inception voltages were simulated by using commercial FEM program. PD signals was detected by ultra wideband antenna. Their own features were extracted as the frequency coefficients transformed with FFT(fast fourier transform) and used to obtain independent pincipal components of each PD signals.
