  • The purpose of this study is to enhance an understanding of employee's OCB(organizational citizenship behavior) in manufacturing innovations like a TPM(total productive maintenance). OCB is examined as a dependent variable in three dimensions; compliance behavior, altruistic behavior, and innovative behavior. The six determinants of OCB are considered based on previous literature : organizational culture, team climate, transactional leadership, transformational leadership, job satisfaction, and organizational commitment. And the moderating effect of TPM on the relationships between OCB and determinants are examined. Data is collected through questionnaires and interviews from 684 employees in the Korean medium-sized manufacturing company that are conducting TPM. • Threat is one special type of communication whereby one conveys opinion, knowledge, or attitude to another with an intention to influence and modify the latter's opinion or behavior. This research aims at identifying the antecedents and the effectiveness of threats applied in the process of purchasing decision-making. The research model integrates constructs derived from the literature of diverse discipline. The framework suggested explains the relative effects of threats, is tested empirically to verify the impacts on the influenced target's opinions and behaviors in buying centers. Data are collected from CAPM's members in Taiwan, and 208 respondents served as targets in the interpersonal relationships. LISREL findings indicate that threats are effective in winning a target's compliance. Additionally, influencing source's characteristics affect the choice of threats more strongly than target characteristics do. The relative ability of dependence on the source to cause manifest influence is even more significant than that of threats. Overall, the results of this study appear consistent with behavioral theories and research.

  • This article presents practical advice regarding the implementation and management of an impeccable Building Management System. The BMS was introduced to the series of computerized systems including manufacturing, storage, distribution, and quality control. Recently revised GMP regulation is requesting an improvement in drug product quality regulatory system by computer system validation. Quality is critical to guarantee the efficacy and the safety of drugs and is approved in the evaluation process after the audit trail application. HVAC parameter monitoring system will record the identity of operators entering or confirming critical data. Authority to amend entered data should be restricted to nominated persons. Any alteration to an entry of critical data should be authorized in advance and recorded with the reason for the change.

  • Negotiation is a process of reaching an agreement on the terms of a transaction. such as price, quantity, for two or more parties. Negotiation tries to maximize the benefits for all parties concerned. instead of using human-based negotiation. the e-commerce environment provides such an environment as adopting automated negotiation. Thus. choosing agent technology is appropriate for an automatic electronic negotiation platform. since autonomous software agents strive for the best deal on behalf of the human participants. Negotiation agents need a clear-cut definition of negotiation models or strategies. In reality, most bargaining systems embody nearly one negotiation model. In this article. we present a mobile agent negotiation system with reusable negotiation strategies that allows agents to dynamically embody a user's favorite negotiation strategy which can be preinstalled as a component in the system. We develop a prototype system, which is fully implemented in compliance with FIPA specifications, and then. describe the benefits of using the system.

  • Asthma is one of the most common chronic disease of childhood. Although an improved understanding of the pathophysiology of asthma has had a positive impact on the treatment and management of the disease, there has been a gradual but significant increase in asthma mortality. Also, mother's caring type is the essential factor in management of the child with asthma. The purpose of this study is to identify and understand the caring patterns of mathers of children with Athma by Q methodology. As a research method, 35 Q-statements were collected through individual interviews and review of related literatures. 37 subjects were interviewed and the data were analyzed by the PC QUANL program with principal component analysis. The were 3 different caring types classified as follows : Type I was the therapeutic compliance obeying type, compliancing medication and preventing cold etc. Type II was the physical strengthening type, taking Chinese medicine and folk remedy etc. Type III was the environment control type, managing house and environment clearly and ventilating room air etc. Therefore, it needs considering above each type in nursing care of the family and children with asthma.

  • This paper presents two social and academic studies on the boundary between cultural production and consumption. The first line of the study on cultural omnivore analyzes the choice of heterogeneous audiences in the face of various cultural offerings. The second line is a study of market categories, which analyzes the responses of peer audiences to objects with different levels of category code compliance. As such, this paper developed a heterogeneous audience model to evaluate objects of different types. This allows us to consider two dimensions of cultural preference: diversity and orientation of selection. To this end, this paper proposes a new analytical frame work to map consumption behavior on these two dimensions. The results suggest that one type of target that values diversity and transformation is particularly resistant to those that span boundaries. We test this argument in the analysis of two large data sets on film and restaurant reviews. Overall, our findings can extend beyond cultural consumption. Outline variability of contextual individuals or individuals in the same situation can cross cultural boundaries even if they are not intentionally pursuing such hybridism.

  • Performance measurement is not an easy task. However, it is necessary to measure the expected value of the informatization project to be invested, to help the successful progress of the informatization project, and to confirm the result of the informatization project. This study describes the evaluation systems of the defense informatization project in Korea used after the end of the informatization project (post-implementation evaluation stage). In the post-implementation evaluation stage of proposed system, the informatization project is evaluated in terms of performance achievement, project plan compliance, project management, and economic validity. For each element, this study suggests metrics and practical measurement method. With metrics and their method, it can be evaluated which project is better than others. Moreover, the lessons learned can be developed. Under scarce budget condition, defense organizations can make better performance from IT project with the evaluation system suggested in this study.
