The significance of complexation facilities in Japan is to recognize the problems resulting from social/economic changes such as rapid informatization, globalization, low rates of birth, and aging population, and to strengthen the national competitiveness and urban advantages. Likewise, there have been increasing demands for community facilities that can meet the new requirements in terms of efficient administration and resident-centered administrative service system in line with changes in the society and administrative conditions. Thus, analyzed are cases concerning complex community facilities in Japan that have coped with changes in consciousness in the community earlier than in Korea. Specifically, the concept of modernday complex community facility is investigated, and the complexation of Korea Japan complex community facilities is divided to physical complexation and functional complexation to grasp the types. The complex community facilities are compared, and the characteristics in terms of spatial composition are also examined. The result of analyzing complex community facility cases is comprehensively analyzed to find out new possibilities in this regard.
After the development of printing technology since the 15th century and the rise of citizen consciousness in the 18th century, the library has taken a public concept. And after the 20th century, its role as a public library for the public was stressed, and as its spatial composition became miniaturized and specialized, its function changed from stacking and reading to various kinds including culture and service and is getting more complex beside the function of a library. Thereupon, this study aims to figure out the limitations of public libraries' opening years shown in advanced researches and understand the current status of spatial composition by complexation with the subjects of five public libraries opened after the end of December, 2006 in order to examine their tendencies of complexation and the characteristics of spatial composition by the complexation of public libraries. As a result, the present public libraries have at leaser more than two spaces with complex functions. According to the result of analysis on the types, locational relations between spaces showed the mixed type the most. In the types of building allocation, the building integrated type had a higher percentage than the separated type. About the types of entrance, the one common door type was fewer than the two separate door type. In the analysis on the types of the interior line of flow, the common type was similar to the dispersed type, and it is thought to be resulted from spatial composition rather than the preplanned line of flow.
Mercury accumulates in biota mainly as methylmercury. In nature, methylmercury shows high affinity to organic matter and $CH_3Hg^+$-organic matter complexation affects the mobility and bioavailabiity of methylmercury. In this study, we examined the methylmercury binding sites in an aquatic humic acid as affected by the pH condition using Hg $L_{III}$-edge extended X-ray absorption fine structure (EXAFS). We evaluated methylmercury binding humic ligands using methylmercury-thiol, methylmerury-carboxyl, and methylmercury-amine complexation models. When $CH_3Hg^+$-to-humic reduced sulfur ratio is 0.3, we found that most of $CH_3Hg^+$ binds to thiol ligands at pH 5 and 7. At pH 7, however, some carboxyl or amine ligand contribution is observed, unlike at pH 5 where $CH_3Hg^+$ almost exclusively binds to thiol ligands. The carboxyl or amine ligand contribution may indicate that some types of thiol ligands in the natural organic matter have relatively low complexation constants or acid dissociation constants compared to those of some carboxyl or amine ligands. Analysis results indicate that ~0.2 fraction of methylmercury binds to amine or carboxyl ligands and ~0.8 to thiol ligands at pH 7.

Thermodynamic sorption modeling can enhance confidence in assessing and demonstrating the radionuclide sorption phenomena onto various mineral adsorbents. In this work, Ca-montmorillonite was successfully purified from Bentonil-WRK bentonite by performing the sequential physical and chemical treatments, and its geochemical properties were characterized using X-ray diffraction, Brunauer-Emmett-Teller analysis, cesium-saturation method, and controlled continuous acid-base titration. Further, batch experiments were conducted to evaluate the adsorption properties of Cs(I) and Sr(II) onto the homoionic Ca-montmorillonite under ambient conditions, and the diffuse double layer model-based inverse analysis of sorption data was performed to establish the relevant surface reaction models and obtain corresponding thermodynamic constants. Two types of surface reactions were identified as responsible for the sorption of Cs(I) and Sr(II) onto Ca-montmorillonite: cation exchange at interlayer site and complexation with edge silanol functionality. The thermodynamic sorption modeling provides acceptable representations of the experimental data, and the species distributions calculated using the resulting reaction constants accounts for the predominance of cation exchange mechanism of Cs(I) and Sr(II) under the ambient aqueous conditions. The surface complexation of cationic fission products with silanol group slightly facilitates their sorption at pH > 8.
This study demonstrated the stabilizing role of a cyclodextrin on Keggin $[PW_{12}O_{40}]^{3-}$ via hydrogen bonding complexation unveiled by ESI-MS. The distinctive fragmentation pathways of the $\{PW_{12}\}/{\gamma}$-CD complexes from that of discrete $[PW_{12}O_{40}]^{3-}$ showed that the so-called "weak" non-covalent interactions can effectively change the dissociation chemistry of POM in the gas phase. The influence of different types of solvents and organic additives such as ${\gamma}$-CD on the stability of Keggin $[PW_{12}O_{40}]^{3-}$ was also addressed firstly by ESI-MS.

Theoretical studies have been performed to study the binding characteristics of the alkali metal iodides, M-I (M = Li, Na, K), to poly(ethylene oxide) (PEO, I), poly(ethylene amine) (PEA, II) and poly(ethylene N-methylamine) (PEMA, III) via the B3LYP method. In this study, two types of complexes, singly-coordinated systems (SCS) and doubly-coordinated systems (DCS), were considered, and dissociation energies (${\Delta}E_D$) were calculated both with and without basis set superposition error (BSSE). Two types of counterpoise (CP) approach were investigated in this work, but the ${\Delta}E_D$ values corrected by using the function CP (fCP) correction exhibited an unusual trend in some cases due to deformation of the sub-units. This problem was solved by including geometry relaxation in the CP-corrected (GCP) interaction energy. On the other hand, the effects of the BSSE on the structures were very small when the complexes were re-optimized on the CP-corrected (RCP) potential energy surface (PES), even if the bond lengths between X and $M^+$ ($d_{{X-M}^+}$) and between $M^+$ and $I^-$ ($d_{M^+-I^-}$) were slightly lengthened. Therefore, neither the GCP nor RCP corrections made much difference to the dissociation energies.
Isomers based on the RS and EZ geometrical isomerism of the neutral, deprotonated species of HMPAO and their complexes with zinc(Ⅱ) ion have been investigated by semiempirical AM1 optimization method. The Hartree-Fock energies on AM1 geometries o f HMPAO species were calculated with HF/6-31G* methods. Twenty-two isomers of the neutral and twenty isomers of the deprotonated species of HMPAO have been found. The presence of four EE-series isomers of both zinc(Ⅱ) complexes with the neutral and deprotonated HMPAO have been expected and the SREE typical isomer of both types of complexes is the most stable isomer. Energies of complexation of zinc(Ⅱ)/HMPAO isomers with AM1 geometries were calculated by HF/ 6-31G*method. Due to the complexations with zinc(Ⅱ), the structural reorganizations of some isomers of the neutral HMPAO have been occurred. The optimized geometrical parameters of the related conformations have been discussed in terms of their stabilities and existences.

According to high-rise, complexation, and enlargement of buildings, various construction methods are being developed, and the significance of construction method selection about main work types has emerged as a major interest. However, it has been pointed out that hand-on workers cannot consider project characteristics carefully, and they lack an objective standard or reference for main construction method selection. Hence, the selection is being made depending on hand-on workers' experience and intuition. To solve this problem, various studies have proceeded for construction method selection of main work types using Artificial Intelligence like Fuzzy, AHP and Case-based reasoning. It is difficult to apply many different kinds of construction method selection to every main work type with consideration for characteristics of work types and condition of a construction site when selecting construction method in the field. Accordingly, this study proposed the decision-making model which can apply to fields easily. Using matrix analysis and liner transformation, this study verified consistency of study models applied in the process of soil retaining selection with a case study.
The effects of $\alpha$- and $\beta$-cyclodextrins (CD) on the twisted intramolecular charge transfer (TICT) behavior of p-N,N'-dimethylaminobenzoic acid (DMABA) in buffered aqueous solution have been investigated by examining formation and decay behaviors of the TICT-typical dual fluorescence. The ratio of the TICT emission to the normal emission (I$_a$/I$_b$) increases linearly $\alpha$-CD concentration increases, while in the presence of $\beta$-CD it shows nonlinear dependences on the CD concentration. The analysis of the CD-dependent changes of the I$_a$/I$_b$ and absorption spectra demonstrates formation of 1:1 inclusion complexes between DMABA and CDs. The decay time of the normal emission (ca. 700 ps) is little affected by the formation of $\alpha$-CD inclusion complex, whereas it increases upto ca. 1.6 ns upon formation of $\beta$-CD inclusion complex. The TICT emission for the $\beta$-CD inclusion complex exhibits two decay components while it shows a single component for the $\alpha$-CD inclusion complex, indicating formation of one or two types of inclusion complex in the presence of $\alpha$-CD or $\beta$-CD, respectively. These results are attributed to the CD cavity size dependence on patterns of complexation between CDs and DMABA. The CD size dependences of the TICT fluorescence properties with the orientation of the guest molecule demonstrate that the specific hydrogen bonding between the carboxylic acid group and water plays an important role in the excited-state TICT.
In this research, two new complexes of N-(2-aminoethyl)-1,3-propanediamine (aepn), $[Cd(aepn)_2]I_2$ (1) and $[Cd(aepn)_2]Cl_2{\cdots}H_2O$ (2), were prepared and identified by elemental analysis, FT-IR, Raman spectroscopy and single-crystal X-ray diffraction. Geometry around the cadmium atom in two complexes by coordination of six nitrogen atoms of two aepn is distorted octahedral. If distortion in the mer-$[Cd(aepn)_2]^{2+}$ cation is disregarded, it has a $C_2$ axis and $C_2$ symmetry. The cyclic voltammetry experiments were carried out to study the complexation process. Two structural surveys on coordination modes and complexes of aepn are presented. A study was carried out using CSD data to estimate the averages of bond lengths for different types of the Cd-N bonds. It was found that the intermolecular $N-H{\cdots}I$, $C-H{\cdots}I$ hydrogen bonds in 1 and $N-H{\cdots}Cl$, $N-H{\cdots}O$, $C-H{\cdots}O$, $O-H{\cdots}Cl$ in 2 stabilized the crystal networks.
