졸-겔법에 의한 알루미나 화이버의 ${\gamma}-LiAlO_2$ 코팅 (${\gamma}-LiAlO_2$ Coating on Alumina Fibers by the Sol-Gel Method)

  • The surface of commercial alumina fibers used for reinforcing the MCFC matrix has been coated with ${\gamma}$-LiAlO2 being the same material as the matrix, by the sol-gel method in order to enhance the corrosion resistivity of alumina fibers. Stable LiAlO2 complex polymeric sols for coating was synthesized by mixing aluminum alkoxide polymeric sols with LiNO3 solution. It was found that the LiAlO2 polymeric sol prepared by adding the mixed chelate of acethylacetone and triethanolamine (the mole ratio of AA/TEA = 0.125/0.75) to the 1 mole of the aluminum alkoxide had the excellent stability and coating behavior. The crystalline structure of the dried gel from the ${\gamma}$-LiAlO2 sol was completely transformed into the ${\gamma}$-LiAlO2 at $600^{\circ}C$. The optimum viscosity of the sol for coating the alumina long fibers was 30~40 cP, while it was 12~20 cP in case of the short fiber coating. The ${\gamma}$-LiAlO2 coated alumina fibers without defects fully densified when heat-treated at 120$0^{\circ}C$.

Re2O3(R=Dy, Gd, Ho)첨가에 따른 Mn-Zn ferrite의 고주파 특성에 관한 연구 (A Study on the High Frequency Properties of Mn-Zn ferrite with Re2O3(R=Dy, Gd, Ho) Addition)

  • We studied effects by Re$_2$O$_3$(R=Dy, Gd, Ho) addition on the properties of Mn-Zn ferrite. The doping concentration range from 0.05 wt% to 0.25 wt%. All samples were prepared by standard fabrication of ceramics. With increasing the rare earth oxides, specific density and initial permeability increased on the whole. But, the tendencies such as upper result had the measured value on limitation and characteristics saturated or decreased properties after that. In case of excessive addition of additive beyond some level, initial permeability properties of ferrite have gone down in spite of anomalous grain. With increasing the content of additive, both the real and imaginary component of complex permeability and the magnetic loss (tan$\delta$) increased. Because the increased rate of real component had higher than imaginary component, magnetic loss increased none the less for increasing the real component related with magnetic permeability. But, the magnetic loss of ferrite doped with the rare earth oxides was lower than that of Mn-Zn ferrite at any rate. The small amount of present rare earth oxides in Mn-Zn ferrite composition led to enhancement of resistivity in bulk, and more so in the grain boundary. It was seem to be due to the formation of mutual reaction such as between iron ions and rare earth element ions.

  • 본 연구에서는 내부전극 접합기술을 이용하여 적층구조의 PTC 서미스터를 제작하였다. 적층구조 PTC 서미스터는 저항, 소형, 대전류 등의 특징을 갖는다. PTC 특성을 조사하기 위하여 첨가제효과, 전압-전류특성, 온도특성, 복합임피던스 특성 등을 측정하였다. 적층구조 PTC서미스터는 저항의 온도특성과 전압-전류특성에서 높은 비선형성을 나타내었다. 적층수가 증가함에 따라 상온저항이 감소되는 특성이 결정립의 효과에 기인됨을 알았다. 전류의 스윗칭 변화는 적층구조가 갖는 열용량의 크기에 비례하였으며, 적층수가 증가할수록 스윗칭 시간이 증가하였다.

  • After Kyoto protocol took effect, many countries are making efforts to reduce $CO_2$ one of effective which is geosequestration. But a percentage of geosequestration in total research budget is very small and the priority order of research also is receded in Korea. As one of efforts to activate the research on geosequestration in field of geophysics, we proposed the plan to build up a measurement system for rock physical properties monitoring during $CO_2$ injection which will function as original technology. The system consists of two part, one of which is a data acquisition system based on seismic and complex resistivity tomographic measurement and the other of which is a tri-axial compressive system to realize the in-situ condition. And also developments of various inversion algorithms are proposed to interpret data qualitatively such as a inversion algorithm for confined cylindrical boundary, a joint inversion algorithm and a 4-D inversion algorithm.

Nd2O3 첨가에 따른 Mn-Zn ferrite의 고주파 특성에 관한 연구 (A Study on the high frequency properties of Mn-Zn ferrite with Nd2O3 addition)

  • The effects of$ Nd_2$$O_3$addition on the properties of Mn-Zn ferrite were investigated in the doping concentration range from 0.05 to 0.25 wt%. But, the tendencies such as upper result had the measured value on limitation and characteristics saturated or decreased properties after that. With increasing the content of Neodymium oxides. both the real and imaginary component of complex permeability and the magnetic loss(tan$\delta$) increased. Because reason that magnetic loss increases is high ratio that a real department increases than imaginary department. Magnetic loss increased none the less for increasing the real department related with magnetic permeability. But, the magnetic loss of ferrite doped with the Neodymium oxides were lower than that of none doped Mn-Zn ferrite. The small amount of percent Neodymium oxides in Mn-Zn ferrite composition led to enhancement of resistivity in bulk, and more so in the grain boundary.

Preparation of Highly Stabilized Silver Nanopowders by the Thermal Reduction and Their Properties

  • Silver nanopowders were prepared from silver 2-ethylhexylcarbamate (Ag-EHCB) complexes by simple thermal reduction at $85^{\circ}C$ without any reducing agent in organic solvent. 2-Ethylhexylammonium 2-ethylhexylcarbamate (EHAEHC) was investigated in terms of their abilities to stabilize the silver nanoparticles (Ag-NPs) and its subsequent effects on the preventing aggregation between Ag-NPs. Conditions (concentration of stabilizer and reaction time) used to reduce Ag-EHCB complex were systematically varied to determine their effects on the sizes of Ag-NPs. The formation of the stabilized Ag-NPs were easily monitored by UV-vis spectroscopy and characterized by TGA, TEM, SEM and XRD. When EHAEHC was used as a stabilizer, Ag-NPs of 10-30 nm in diameter were easily obtained in high yield. Silver patterns were obtained from a silver nano-paste by heat treatment at $200^{\circ}C$ in air and were found to have resistivity values of $2.9{\times}10^{-8}\;{\Omega}{\cdot}m$.

Geoelectrical Structure of the Kyongsang Basin from Magnetotelluric Sounding

  • The Kyongsang Basin is the most representative Cretaceous basin in the Korean Peninsula where extensive crustal deformation and non-marine sedimentation took place in the early Cretaceous period. The lithology of the basement of the basin and adjacent areas is comprised of mainly Precambrian gneiss complex and Mesozoic granite intrusions. We have carried out magnetotelluric (MT) surveys to investigate the deep geoelectric structure around the Kyongsang Basin. The MT data were collected in the frequency range from 0.00042 to 320 Hz at 24 sites along a profile across the northern part of Kyongsang Basin. The results of MT inversion show that the thickness of sediments is estimated about 3 km to 9 km and the depth to base of granite intrusion is about 20 km. A remarkable discovery in this study is the highly conductive layer beneath the basin, having the resistivity of 1 ohm-m to 30 ohm-m and the thickness of about 3 km to 4 km or more. Although we are not able to reveal the nature of this layer, the result of this study could provide some basic information with respect to the formation process and deposit environment of the proto-Kyongsang Basin.

유기 은 착체 화합물을 코팅용액으로 사용하여 연속적인 담금코팅방법에 의한 은 안정화층 제조 (Preparation of silver stabilizer layer on coated conductor by continuous dip coating method using organic silver complexes)

  • Silver stabilizing layer of coated conductor has been prepared by dip coating method using organic silver complexes containing 10 wt% silver as a starting material. Coated silver complex layer was dried in situ with hot air and converted to crystalline silver by post heat treatment in flowing oxygen atmosphere. A dense continuous silver layer with good surface coverage and proper thickness of 230 nm is obtained by multiple dip coatings and heat treatments. The film heat treated at $500^{\circ}C$ showed good mechanical adhesion and crystallographic property. The interface resistivity between superconducting YBCO layer and silver layer prepared by dip coating was measured as $0.67\;{\times}\;10^{-13}\;{\Omega}m^2$. Additional protecting copper layer with the thickness of $20\;{\mu}m$ was successfully deposited by electroplating. The critical current measured with the specimen prepared by dip coating and sputtering on same quality YBCO layer showed similar value of ~140 A and proved its ability to replace sputtering method for industrial production of coated conductor.

플라즈마 블라스팅, 공압파쇄, 진공추출이 활용된 지중 토양정화공법의 정화제 주입에 따른 투수성 개선 연구 (A Study on the Effect of Improving Permeability by Injecting a Soil Remediation Agent in the In-situ Remediation Method Using Plasma Blasting, Pneumatic Fracturing, and Vacuum Suction Method)

  • 지층구성이 복잡하고 저투수성의 토양이 분포하는 경우 정화효율은 급격히 저하되고 실질적인 정화가 이루어지지 않거나 정화기간이 증가하는 등의 문제가 발생한다. 효율적인 정화를 위해서는 투수성이 개선되어 오염된 구간으로 정화제 주입하여 오염물질과 충분한 접촉이 이루어져야 한다. 본 연구는 균열형성과 효과적인 정화제 유도를 위해 플라즈마 블라스팅, 공압파쇄, 진공추출을 복합적으로 활용하는 PPV 공법의 유체 전달특성을 분석하고 기존공법과의 비교를 통해 개선효과를 평가하였다. 연구는 TPH(Total petroleum hydrocarbons)로 오염된 실제 오염부지에 대한 정화제 전달효과를 확인하기 위한 실증시험을 수행하였으며 정화제의 전달특성과 영향범위 등을 산정하기 위해 주입량과 주입시간을 모니터링하고, 정성적인 지중환경 변화요인을 확인하고자 전기비저항탐사를 수행하였다. 또한, 투수시험을 수행하여 각 공법에 대한 투수성 변화를 평가하였다. 정화제의 주입량 모니터링 결과, 주입량은 대조군 대비 실험군의 주입량이 약 4.74~7.48배 증가하였고, 단위 시간 당 주입 유량(L/min)은 약 5.00~7.54배 실험군의 전달률이 빠른 것으로 분석되었다. 전기비저항탐사 결과, 실험군의 비저항변화비는 대조군과는 달리 지표까지 영향을 주어 비저항값이 전체적으로 감소하는 경향을 보인다. 따라서 실험군은 지표 상부에 분포하는 토사층까지 과산화수소 등의 유체 확산이 이루어져 저비저항 변화비가 감소하는 것을 볼 수 있으며 주입정과 추출정 사이의 수평적 변화비는 약 1.12~2.38배 비저항값이 감소되었다. 투수성의 경우, 대조군과 실험군 모두 유사한 초기 투수성을 보였으나 과산화수소의 정화기작 영향으로 투수성이 감소하는 특성을 나타내는 것으로 확인되었다. 수리전도도의 변화를 정량적으로 평가하면, 대조군은 시험 종료 후 초기 수리전도도 대비 21.1%의 수리전도도를 나타내어 투수성이 급격히 저하되는 양상을 보였으나 실험군은 실험종료 후 초기치 대비 81.3%로 초기 수리전도도와 근접한 값을 나타내는 것으로 파악되었다. 현장조사로 확인된 수리전도도와 정화재 주입실험을 통한 정화제 주입용량(m3/hr), 토양특성분석(함수비, 밀도)을 통한 공극률(%)의 분석을 통해 영향반경(ROI)을 산정산 결과, PPV 공법의 영향반경(ROI)은 대조군에 비해 평균 220% 개선되는 것으로 확인되었다. 이와 같은 성과는 PPV 공법 적용으로 인하여 기존공법 대비 보다 넓은 범위에 걸쳐 효율적인 정화제 전달이 가능하고 정화기작에서 나타나는 투수성 저해요인을 상당부분 극복할 수 있으며, 약 2배 이상의 영향반경 증대를 통해 정화효율을 높일 수 있음을 지시하는 중요한 지표로 볼 수 있다.

지표투과레이다(Ground Penetrating Radar)를 이용한 온양편마암의 풍화특성 고찰 (Weathering Characteristics of On-Yang Gneiss using Ground Penetrating Radar)

  • 본 연구에서는 온양편마암이 분포하는 지역을 대상으로 지표지질조사, 핸드오거 보링, 시추조사 및 GPR탐사 등을 통하여 변성암의 풍화특성을 파악하였다. 지표지질조사 및 시추조사 결과 조사대상 구간의 호상편마암은 엽리를 따라 발달된 수평절리 및 2 Sets의 수직절리가 발달하고 성인에 기인한 조성광물의 배열에 따른 차별풍화로 우백대가 우흑대보다 훨씬 높은 강도특성을 보였다. GPR탐사 결과, GPR단면도는 엽리의 방향성을 명확히 보여주며, 편마암 특유의 조성광물 배열상태와 조성광물 및 불연속면의 발달정도에 기인한 차별풍화의 전형적인 형태를 보였다. 특히 힐버트변환을 통한 순간위상 단면도는 엽리의 방향성 및 연속성을 명확히 보여주었다. 그러나 호상편마암에 대한 GPR탐사시 광물조성에 따라 뚜렷한 반사특성을 보이므로 토사층 및 기반암의 심도 파악이 매우 어렵기 때문에 반드시 시추 및 굴절법 탄성파탐사 등을 이용, 결과물을 상호비교하는 것이 바람직하다.
