The conformational details of β-lactose are investigated through molecular dynamics simulations in conjunction with the adiabatic potential energy map. The adiabatic energy map generated in vacuo contains five local minima. The lowest energy structure on the map does not correspond to the structure determined experimentally by NMR and the X-ray crystallography. When aqueous solvent effect is incorporated into the energy map calculation by increasing the dielectric constant, one of the local minima in the vacuum energy map becomes the global minimum in the resultant energy map. The lowest energy structure of the energy map generated in aquo is consistent with the one experimentally determined. Molecular dynamics simulations starting from those fivelocal minima on the vacuum energy map reveal that conformational transitions can take place among various conformations. Molecular dynamics simulations of the lactose and ricin B chain complex system in a stochastic boundary indicate that the most stable conformation in solution phase is bound to the binding site and that there are conformational changes in the exocyclic region of the lactose molecule upon binding.

Paraelectric lead landthanum titanate(PLT) thin films have been prepared by a reactive dc magnetron sputtering system using a multicomponent metal target. The surface area control of each element on the target markedly facilitates the fabrication of thin films of complex ceramic compounds. A postdeposition heat-treatment was applied to all as-deposited PLT thin films at annealing temperatures up to 75$0^{\circ}C$ for crystalization. The composition of the PLT(28) thin filmannealed at $650^{\circ}C$ was: Pb, 0.73; La, 0.28; Ti, 0.88; O, 2.9. The dielectric constant and dissipation factor of the thin film(200 nm) at low filed measurements (500 Vcm-1) are 1216 and 0.018, respectively. The charge storage density using a typical Sawyer-Tower circuit with a 500 Hz sine wave was 12.5 $\mu$Ccm-2 at the electric field of 200 kVcm-1.
Pure submicron $SrTiO_3$ powders had been synthesized with chemical wet process that $5N-NH_4OH$ solution was sprayed into the mixed solution of $SrTiO_3$, $TiCl_4$ and $H_2O_2$ with $N_2$ carrier gas. The characteristic properties of powders obtained from this experiment were as follows. The optimum synthesis condition in reaction bath was above PH 8.5 and under $25^{\circ}C$ The particle size of precipitated SrTiO(OH) powders dried at 6$0^{\circ}C$ was under 0.01${\mu}{\textrm}{m}$ and uniform. Amorphous precipitated complex powders emitted adsorbed water at 15$0^{\circ}C$ less that and crystalline $SrTiO_3$powders was produced from calcining the complex at 30$0^{\circ}C$. Sintered body of SrTiO3 fired at 133$0^{\circ}C$ showed that relative dielectric constant was 228 at 1MHZ and bulk density was 4.73g/$cm^3$.
In this paper, we proposed a numerical model the complex permittivity for the E-glass fabric/epoxy composite laminate containing electrical conductive carbon black. The model is based on the percolation theory and for the composites over than the percolation threshold and in higher frequency band in that the AC conductivity is fully proportional to the frequency. The measurement for the complex permittivity wasperformed at the frequency band of 0.5 GHz $\sim$ 18.0 GHz using a vector network analyzer with a 7 mm coaxial air line. The proposed model is composed of the numerical equations of the scaling law used in percolation theory and constants obtained from experiments to quantify the model itself. The model describes the complex permittivity as the function of frequency and filler concentration. The model was verified by being compared with the measurements.

Increasingly complex tasks are performed by computers or cellular phone, requiring more and more memory capacity as well as faster and faster processing speeds. This leads to a constant need to develop more highly integrated circuit systems. Therefore, there have been numerous studies by many engineers investigating circuit patterning. In particular, PCB including module/package substrates such as FCB (Flip Chip Board) has been developed toward being low profile, low power and multi-functionalized due to the demands on miniaturization, increasing functional density of the boards and higher performances of the electric devices. Imprint lithography have received significant attention due to an alternative technology for photolithography on such devices. The imprint technique. is one of promising candidates, especially due to the fact that the expected resolution limits are far beyond the requirements of the PCB industry in the near future. For applying imprint lithography to FCB, it is very important to control thermal properties and mechanical properties of dielectric materials. These properties are very dependent on epoxy resin, curing agent, accelerator, filler and curing degree(%) of dielectric materials. In this work, the epoxy composites filled with silica fillers and cured with various accelerators having various curing degree(%) were prepared. The characterization of the thermal and mechanical properties wasperformed by thermal mechanical analysis (TMA), thermogravimetric analysis (TGA), differential scanning calorimetry (DSC), rheometer, an universal test machine (UTM).
The dependence of polarographic parameters on the pressure for the reduction of copper(II), cadmium(II), and zinc(II) complex ions with ethylenediamine, propylenediamine, and diethylenetriamine has been studied. In this study the dropping mercury electrode, the mercury pool electrode, and helix type of platinum wire were used as the working, the reference, and the auxilary electrode, respectively. With increasing the pressure from 1 atmosphere to 1,500 atmospheres, the reduction half-wave potentials of metal complex ions are shifted to the negative values and the diffusion currents become considerably larger, in keeping with the theory on the change of the physical properties of the electrolytic solution such as the density, the viscosity, the dielectric constant, and the electrical conductance, etc. The slope values of the logarithmic plot are increased with increasing the pressure, which indicates the more irreversible reduction. The temperature coefficients of diffusion current observed over the range of the temperature from 25$^{\circ}$C to 35$^{\circ}$C are about two percentage with increasing the pressure, therefore the polarographic reduction under the high pressure is controlled by diffusion. The linear relationships between diffusion current and concentration of metal complex ions are established over all pressure range.
6-MQCC (Cr(VI)-6-methylquinoline) complex was synthesized by the reaction of 6-methylquinoline with chromium(VI) trioxide in 6 M HCl. The structure was characterized using IR (Infrared Spectroscopy) and ICP (Inductively Coupled Plasma) analysis. The oxidation of benzyl alcohol using 6-MQCC in various solvents showed that the reactivity increased with the increase of the dielectric constant, in descending order of DMF > acetone > chloroform > cyclohexene. In the presence of DMF solvent with acidic catalyst such as sulfuric acid ($H_2SO_4$), 6-MQCC oxidized benzyl alcohol (H) and its derivatives ($p-OCH_3$, $m-CH_3$, $m-OCH_3$, m-Cl, $m-NO_2$) were effectively oxidized. Electron-donating substituents accelerated the reaction rate, whereas electron acceptor groups retarded the reaction rate. The Hammett reaction constant (${\rho}$) was -0.69 (308 K). The observed experimental data was used to rationalize the fact that the hydride ion transfer occurred at the rate-determining step.
In this paper, we present an optimization method for the single Dallenbach-layer type microwave absorbers composed of E-glass fabric/epoxy composite laminates. The composite prepreg containing carbon nanotubes (CNT) was used to control the electrical property of the composites laminates. The design technology using the genetic algorithm was used to get the optimal thicknesses of the laminates and the filler contents at various center frequencies, for which the numerical model of the complex permittivity of the composite laminate was incorporated. In the optimal design results, the content of CNT increased in proportion to the center frequency, but, on the contrary, the thickness of the microwave absorbers decreased. The permittivity and reflection loss are measured using vector network analyzer and 7 mm coaxial airline. The influence of the mismatches in between measurement and prediction of the thickness and the complex permittivity caused the shift of the center frequency, blunting of the peak at the center frequency and the reduction of the absorbing bandwidth.
Reaction of aniline and iodine in$CHCl_3,\;CH_2Cl_2 : CHCl_3$(1 : 1), and $CH_2Cl_2$ has been studied kinetically by using conductivity method, Pseudo first-order rate constants ($k_{obs}$) and second-order rate constants ($k_{obs}$/[aniline]) are dependent on the aniline concentration. Second-order rate constants obtained were increased with increasing aniline concentration. We analysed these results on the basis of formation of charge transfer complex as reaction intermediate. From the construction of react ion scheme and derivation of rate equation, we calculated equilibrium constants and activation parameters for the formation and transformation of charge transfer complex. The equilibrium constants were decreased by an increase in the dielectric constant of the solvent and the value is 1.7-3.7$M^{-1}$. The rate of transformation are markedly affected by the solvent polarity. ${\Delta}H^{\neq}$ is about 14.2kJ/mol, and ${\Delta}S^{\neq}$ is large negative value of -243J/mol K.
