  • In this paper, an implementable BFGS bundle algorithm for solving a nonsmooth convex optimization problem is presented. The typical method minimizes an approximate Moreau-Yosida regularization using a BFGS algorithm with inexact function and the approximate gradient values which are generated by a finite inner bundle algorithm. The approximate subgradient of the objective function is used in the algorithm, which can make the algorithm easier to implement. The convergence property of the algorithm is proved under some additional assumptions.

  • In this paper, we construct a complex reproducing kernel space for singular multi-point BVPs, and skillfully obtain reproducing kernel expressions. Then, we transform the problem into an equivalent operator equation, and give a numerical algorithm to provide the approximate solution. The uniform convergence of this algorithm is proved, and complexity analysis is done. Lastly, we show the validity and feasibility of the numerical algorithm by two numerical examples.

  • Moving objects in video data are main elements for video analysis and retrieval. In this paper, we propose a new algorithm for tracking and segmenting moving objects in color image sequences that include complex camera motion such as zoom, pan and rotating. The Proposed algorithm is based on the Mean-shift color segmentation and stochastic region matching method. For segmenting moving objects, each sequence is divided into a set of similar color regions using Mean-shift color segmentation algorithm. Each segmented region is matched to the corresponding region in the subsequent frame. The motion vector of each matched region is then estimated and these motion vectors are summed to estimate global motion. Once motion vectors are estimated for all frame of video sequences, independently moving regions can be segmented by comparing their trajectories with that of global motion. Finally, segmented regions are merged into the independently moving object by comparing the similarities of trajectories, positions and emerging period. The experimental results show that the proposed algorithm is capable of segmenting independently moving objects in the video sequences including complex camera motion.

  • Brake Moan is a laud and strong noise occurring at any vehicle speed over 2 mph as a low frequency in below 600Hz. In this study, we targeted to shift the unstable mode that causes the brake moan from the moats frequency range to sufficiently higher frequency range to avoid the moan phenomenon. We simulated the finite element model and found out the nodes in which the brake moan occurs the most and we regarded the boundary and its relationship between the brake pad and the rotor as a spring coefficient k. With the binary set of the spring coefficient k, we finally used genetic algorithm (GA) to get the optimal topology of the brake pad and its shape to avoid the brake moan. The final result remarkably shows that genetic algorithm can be used in topology optimization procedures requiring complex eigenvalue problems.

  • The adaptation to vector control theory is so generalized that it is widely used for implementing the high-performance of AC machine. Nowadays, One-Chip microprocessors or DSP chips are being well-used to implement Vector Control algorithm. DSP Chip have less flexibility for memory decoding and I/O rather than One-Chip microprocessor so that is requires more additional circuit and high cost. And the past One-Chip micro processors have difficult of implementation the complex algorithm because of small memory capacity and low arithmetic performance. Therefore we implemented the vector control algorithm of PMSM(Permanent Magnetic Synchronous Motors) using 80296SA form intel , which have many features as 6M memory space, 500MHz clock frequency, including memory decoding circuit and general I/O, Special I/O(EPA, Interrupt controller, Timer/Count, PWM generator) which is proper controller for the complex algorithm or operation program requiring so much memory capacity, So in this paper we fully digitized the vector control of PMSM included SVPWM Voltage controller using the intel 80296SA

  • To solve the problem of face recognition with complex changes and further improve the efficiency, a new near-infrared face recognition algorithm which fuses E-GV-LBP and FKNN algorithm is proposed. Firstly, it transforms near infrared face image by Gabor wavelet. Then, it extracts LBP coding feature that contains space, scale and direction information. Finally, this paper introduces an improved FKNN algorithm which is based on spatial domain. The proposed approach has brought face recognition more quickly and accurately. The experiment results show that the new algorithm has improved the recognition accuracy and computing time under the near-infrared light and other complex changes. In addition, this method can be used for face recognition under visible light as well.

  • The modem production systems are required to produce many items. This is due to the fact that society has become more complex and the customers' demands have become more varied. The demand for complex production systems of various purposes, which can flexibly change the content of work, has increased. One of such production systems is FMS (Flexible Manufacturing System). Limited resources must be used in FMS when a number of working procedures are simultaneously being undertaken because the conditions of stand-by job processes cannot be changed. Researchers are currently being conducted to determine ways of preventing deadlocks. In this study, we proposes the algorithm for detection and recovery of a deadlock status using the DDAPN(Deadlock Detection Avoidance Petri Net). Also, we apply the proposed algorithm has a feature to the FMS.

  • The new aspect of contemporary architectural design is the computer simulation of morphogenesis and evolution of the organic body. Morphogenesis and evolution is the kind of emergence that is the process of complex pattern formation from simpler rules in complex system. The development comprises the sequence of pattern formation, differentiation, morphogenesis, growth. This study analyzes the application methodology of various biomorphism in contemporary architecture. The methods of generative application by computation in architecture are self-organization, differentiation, growth algorithm via MoSS. And the methods of evolution by computation are genetic algorithm, multi-parameter in environments, phylogenetic cross-over, competing as natural selection, mutation+external constraints, generative algorithm+genetic algorithm via Genr8.
