Environmental issues are currently in the forefront of the political and economic area both globaly and nationally. In the all spheres of socio-economic development and policy, it is suggested that there are need, to measure environmental impacts and to produce and disseminate environmental statistics systematically for environmentally sound and sustainable development. Specially, because environmental statistics encompass a wide spectrum of sectors from the natural to the social sciences and are dispersed among various agencies, an organized approach and compilation methods in complicated fields such as environment are required. This article includes the methodology on the framework for development of environmental statistics to advance korean environmental statistics.

This thesis proposes a method for effectively detecting memory errors with low occurrence frequency that may occur depending on runtime situation by analyzing assembly codes obtained by disassembling an executable file. When applying the proposed method to various programs having no compilation error, a total of about 750 potential errors taken about 90 seconds are detected among 1 million lines of assembly codes corresponding to a total of about 10 thousand functions.

Project value can be increased by implementing the most suitable one or more Value Management Processes (VMP). For the past decades, a variety of innovative management processes have been increasingly introduced into the construction industry. Each VMP is considered to be significantly beneficial for capital facility projects to proactively achieve one or more project value objectives. This paper covers the compilation of the 44 VMPs and provides their leveraging project characteristics that require the implementation of one or more VMPs. The results of data collection establish relative importance between the VMPs and the project characteristic factors in collaboration with 51 experts from both industry and academia. In the lack of industry awareness of both VMPs and their causal factors, the results of this study can facilitate the implementation of the VMPs and ultimately enhance the value of a particular capital project.

Enzyme kinetics-based respiration model can be effectively used for estimating respiration rate in $O_2$ consumption and $CO_2$ production of fresh produce as a function of $O_2$ and $CO_2$ concentrations. Arrhenius equation can be applied to describe the temperature dependence of the respiration rate. Parameters of enzyme kinetics-based respiration model and activation energy of Arrhenius equation were compiled from analysis of literature data and closed system experiment. They enable to estimate the respiration rate for any modified atmosphere conditions at temperature of interest and thus can be used for design of modified atmosphere packaging of fresh produce.

Tritium dose management is an important aspect of the radiation protection program at CANDU type reactor sites. This paper describes the bioassay and dosimetry of tritium at CANDU reactor sites, especially for Wolsung Nuclear Power Plant. It presents a compilation of information drawn from published papers, technical reports, international and national guidelines as well as practical experience both in Korean and Canadian CANDU Nuclear Power Plants. The implementation of this program would provide a technical basis for demonstrating to workers, managers and regulators that tritium bioassay measurements, dose calculations and records should be of acceptable quality and should meet overall radiation protection program objectives.

Requirements necessary for the construction of a fast critical assembly in this country are briefly reviewed. The critial masses of a spherical plutonium core with various spherical reflectors and its thicknesses are calculated using IDX, which is a computer code written for fast reactor analysis. The compilation of this code was made on CDC 3300/Master and UNIVAC 1106/EXEC 8. The calculated results are completely depicted, and compared with other results in this report. The Russian formatted 29 group cross section set generated by ETOX-2 using ENDF/B Version II file at Hanford is used in the calculations.

사물인터넷 기술의 사용이 증가하고 있으나 장치 및 플랫폼의 종류가 다양하여 한 번 구현한 응용 프로그램을 재사용하기 어렵다. 사물인터넷 장치에서 가상기계를 사용하여 이러한 문제점을 해결할 수 있지만 가상기계의 응용 프로그램 실행 속도는 네이티브 코드에 비해 속도가 느려 가상기계의 실행 속도를 개선할 필요가 있다. AoT 컴파일은 바이트코드를 네이티브 코드로 사전에 컴파일하여 가상기계의 실행 속도를 향상시키는 기법이다. 본 논문에서는 IoT-Cloud 융합 가상기계 시스템을 위한 AoT 컴파일 시스템을 설계한다. 설계한 시스템은 사물인터넷과 클라우드의 융합 환경에 적합하며, 바이트코드 중 일부만을 네이티브 코드로 컴파일하므로 네이티브 코드 로드에 의한 가상기계의 메모리 부담이 적다.

We are often faced with the task of having to estimate the hydrogen and helium ionizing luminosities of massive stars in the study of H II regions and the warm ionized medium (WIM). Using the results of the most complete compilation of stellar parameters (the effective temperature, stellar radius and surface gravity) and the latest Kurucz stellar atmosphere models, we calculate the ionizing photon luminosities in the $H^0\;and\;He^0$ continua from O3 to B5 stars. We compared the theoretical Lyman-continuum luminosity with the observationally inferred luminosity of the H II region around ${\alpha}$ Vir, and found that the theoretical value is higher than the observed value in contrast to the eariler result.

For a comprehensive understanding of human impact on a change of the global climate, it is necessary to obtain reliable information on man-induced fluxes of greenhouse gases (GHGs) into the atmosphere. Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) guidelines (IPCC 1996, IPCC 2000, IPCC2006) provide the methods and procedures of estimating the national GHG emission inventories. Particularly, IPCC 2006 contains new chapter of key conceptions uncertainties, including the types of uncertainties and assessment methods of uncertainties in GHG emission inventories. In this paper, a compact and clear survey on volume 1 of IPCC 2006, which contains the general information on inventory compilation, uncertainty and guidance on the choice of methods, and QC/QA, is given with emphasis on uncertainty analysis.
