This research has been conducted in order to assess the effects on quality management factor of the construction sites. 30 companies abiding by the 'construction industry law' and 32 companies abiding by the 'housing construction promotion law' have been researched in areas of quality-management environment, quality-management understanding, quality-management education on construction field, quality-system and quality-improvement. This construction quality factors are to realized the anticipated results not only quality level's increasing, but also company's confidence, competitiveness. We were able to obtain participations of 62 questionnaire, and derived statistics by means of SPSS/PC version 10.0. In this study, we find the bottleneck factor for promotion and upgrade quality management factor of the construction sites and suggest a way out of difficulties.

This study suggests the holding of the 2015 Busan Harbour Registration Exposition in order to activate port & logistics industry, motivate Busan regional development and set up the long-term goal of local people. The SWOT analysis shows that the given conditions of Busan is competitive to attract the 2015 Busan Harbour Registration Exposition, which might be further strengthened for the competitiveness of the Port of Busan. The way to maximize the holding possibility of the EXPO, then, should be more emphasized for the successful implementation of the Pre-Expos periodically and successively by developing and planning perfectly logicality, differentiated subject and concept of the EXPO which accepted in the inside and outside of country.

국내 PC 산업은 노동비용의 비중이 높은 조립산업의 특성에 따른 수익성 악화와 대기업의 생산시설 중국이전, 해외 브랜드에 의한 국내시장 재편 등으로 인해 어려움을 겪고 있다. 삼성전자와 LG전자는 PC 생산시설이 중국으로 이전한 상태이며, 세계 PC 산업 역시 중국의 저임금으로 인한 경쟁이 가속화되고 있다. 본 연구에서는 먼저 차세대 PC 산업의 정의 및 분류체계를 정립하고, 실태조사를 통한 국내 시장 현황을 분석하였다. 또한, 국내 차세대 PC 제조업체의 선진기업 대비 기술 이외의 요인까지 고려한 종합적 경쟁력 수준을 제품역량과 운영역량을 중심으로 분석하였다. 제품역량은 가격경쟁력, 기능경쟁력, 디자인 등을 중심으로 분석하였고, 운영경쟁력은 마케팅경쟁력, 자금조달능력 등을 중심으로 분석하였다.

The world economy has came into unlimited competition with globalization since 1990. Opening markets to the world is in progress through the expansion of world free trade and internationalization of multinational enterprises. In the maritime transportation for world trade, shipping companies pursue "Hub & Spoke" strategy so a port which is not able to be located as a hub port is degraded as a feeder port. To attract shipping companies, it is necessary for existing ports to provide differentiated service. This paper devises marketing strategies for a competitive port after evaluating relation among the factors affecting port selection when a shipping company chooses a port of call. On the basis of determinants derived from existing researches, we study the relation as well as importance among the factors of port selection.

The u-Learning just begins to emerge as the next-generation knowledge-based business. Since it has a great potential to become a high value-added industry, there is much attention paid in this field. In this work, we first summarized the concept of the u-Learning where the architecture of various u-learning areas has been identified. Then we investigated the current status and problems of the u-Learning industry. Through the SWOT analysis, we have extracted the political strategies that will be essential for the rapid industrialization of u-Learning which will, in turn, contribute much to enhance the competitiveness of national economy.

In port management, the scale of facilities and port layouts are major factors characterizing the port, which influence port economics and productivities continuously through the port operation. Grouping ports in certain region by their characteristics could be used as the principal informations to establish national policy for port development or investment and also to analyze the competitiveness between ports. Currently Korean ports are divided into two groups such as the local port and the designated port containing foreign trade port and coastal port under the Korean port law. These divisions seem to be used for port administration as the matter of convenience but some qualitative grouping is needed for research of port problems. In this paper, 20 major Korean ports were clustered by the similar characteristics using Fuzzy C-Means and found to be classified 8 qualitative groups.

Induction motors are a critical component of many industrial machines and are frequently integrated in commercial equipment. The many economical losses and the deterioration of system reliability might be caused by the failure of induction motors in industrial field. Based on the reliability and cost competitiveness of driving system (motors), the faults detection and diagnosis of system is considered very important factors. In order to perform the faults detection and diagnosis of motors, the vibration monitoring method and motor current signature analysis (MCSA) method are emphasized. In this paper, MCSA method is used for induction motor fault diagnosis. This method analyzes the motor's supply current, since this diagnoses the motor's condition. The diagnostic system is constructed by using LabVIEW of National Instruments.

The investment to advanced manufacturing techniques is essential to reinforcement of furture competitiveness. To make a decision for selecting an appropriate manufacturing facility is very important ; it is, however, rather difficult to get a precise evaluation through conventional cost analysis methods. The supreme decision-maker does not only take into consideration tangible cost attributes in decision-making ; he also takes into account such intangible attributes as strategic ones. This study combines Analytic Hierarchy Process and Simulation in order to graph the variations of weighted indices of alternatives for effective decision making when cost attributes are uncertain. A numerical example is illustrated to explain the basic mechanics of the proposed decision procedure.

풍력에너지 연구개발은 1970년대 에너지 위기 이후 시작되어 1980년대 초반까지 가격 경쟁력과 기술 부족으로 상용화에 이르지 못하였다. 그러나 1980년대 중반 미국을 시작으로 상업발전에 성공하여 100kW급 풍력발전시스템이 대량 보급되기 시작하였다. 1990대에는 덴마크, 독일, 스페인 등에서 대규모 풍력시장이 형성되었고, 2000년대 들어 대형화에 성공하여 기존 발전에 대한 시장경쟁력을 확보하게 되었다. 본 논문에서는 풍력에너지 보급 확산을 촉진하기 위해 풍력발전 시장의 동향분석과 함께 기술 특성을 분석하였으며 보급 촉진을 도모할 수 있는 확산 전략들을 제시하였다.

This study aims at strengthening the national competitiveness of Korea's clothing industry as it provides substantial information on the human body proportion and proportional dimension standards for Chinese women and improves the fitness of clothing, considering human proportion in the production of clothing products for export to China. This study selected by simple random sampling Chinese women in Beijing and Shanghai, China, whose age is between 19-50 from June 23 to August 7, 2004. The stature of the average Chinese woman belonging to the High Frequency group is 7.09 times as long as the length of the head. We developed the body proportional dimension standards with the same proportion with High-Frequence group. The basic size of proportional dimension standards for Chinese women has the stature of 159cm, (chest circumference)/2 of 42.8cm.
