As the environment of Logistics is changing rapidly, the environment of port is also changing. Accordingly, rapid change within port environment appears as the increase of the volume for world wide cargo, liner ship owners' strategy shift, globalization of terminals, heavy competitions to become a hub of Logistics, development of ship engineering. Therefore, the people who are responsible for the operations and managements of ports foresee such changes and accordingly react to ensure competitiveness. As the competition among ports generally goes international, a port needs to be sure that they become superior to any other port regardless of whether it's outside their country or not. Especially Korea is located in the most heavily competitive area which is Far-East. So if we fail to get competitiveness against the other ports, it goes without saying that our ports will be defeated by them. In brief, this paper will discuss the history of study regarding the factors by which a port is selected and also suggest some of elements which can be applied to small ports in the future of it.

The environment of automobile industry in the world is rapidly changing. It is changing of high oil price, technology, environment and construction of competition by newly rising an economic district. Automobile company is focusing on three issue because they want to reinforce competition of automobile industry in the world. That is innovation of production profit management through quality management and Lean. Chance of success is separated in R&D, providing distribution, manufacture, distribution, selling in automobile industry. Emphasis on development process, distribution process, manufacture process, circulation and selling process for strengthening the competitiveness and guarantee. In this thesis, we try to analysis the data set period of automobile production by using survival analysis. While using mean comparison of general statistics commit mistakes, survival analysis can used for including censored data in order to heighten analysis efficiency.

The study aims to explore the problems of analysis unit when examining management performance and efficiency using DEA (Data Envelopment Analysis). Generally the DEA results depend on input, output, and analysis units. We used data from Park (2012) which analyze paddy farmers in Jeonnam province. Results show that data from farm household unit was well fitted to examine management efficiency, not data from per area unit. This study will be helpful for researchers and practitioners to understand proper analysis unit when using the DEA for enhancing farm competitiveness.

With recent trends leaning towards product miniaturization, the advent of new material and speedy delivery times, old style conventional trial-and-error methods have been only serving to weaken corporate competitiveness. Reliant on tiny increments of time-consuming experience, this antiquated approach begets a delayed delivery of product development, cost loss and quality depreciation. To solve such problems, the Dedicated Injection Molding CAPA (Computer Aided Plastics Application) performs a preliminary examination on problems rising from every stage of creation - from appropriate material selection and mold design to mass production - through a computer system. Thus, it determines the optimum design variables and process conditions while diagnosing and solving defective molds.

While knowledge management (KM) needs to be introduced in order to enhance the competitiveness of Korean firms, most of the current literature focuses on defining the concept of KM and developing its framework. This research attempts to develop an introduction methodology of KM, based on four dimensions such as organization, information technology, process, and culture. The methodology was applied to firm L, which recently adopted KM. A result from the analysis of this case study shows that firm L performed well in the dimensions of organization, information technology, and culture.

Many companies of the world have applied the TQM, which was originated from Japanese management style, to increase their competitiveness. It is not so easy to implement successfully the management practices originated from the foreign countries, which are usually mixed with specific cultures and management systems of their own. Some American companies created some best practices such as 6 sigma approach for applying TQM by creative benchmarking. This Paper Presents some issues for creative benchmarking for Korean companies through the analysis of the creative benchmarking processes of the successful American companies.

This paper studies the competitiveness and complementary among the major container ports in East Asia by analyzing their extensive and intensive dynamics in recent 8 years (2008-2015). Time series data on container throughput dividing into O-D and transshipment for the ports of Hong Kong, Kaohsiung, Shanghai, Busan, Ningbo-Zhoushan, and Shenzhen are calculated based on VAR and VECM model.

Knowledge-based economy is the economy or economic structure based on production, accumulation and utilization of knowledge. Independent innovation is the key factor to enhance competitiveness in China auto industry. This article is based on current status analysis of China auto industry independent innovation and it points out the problems and causes that exist in the independent innovation process. It also proposes policy and suggestions to accelerate cultivation of independent innovation in China auto industry.
