간호학 실습교육 평가도구에 관한 현황조사 (Survey of use of Evaluation tools for Student구s Clinical Competency)

  • The purpose of this study was to survey the use of a evaluation tools of clinical competency for nursing students. The sample consisted of the departments of nursing in 14 universities and 20 Junior colleges of nursing. Data analysis was done by frequency, percentages and factor analysis. The results of the study were as follows : 1. A common measurement tools for evaluation in the clinical area was used by 74.4% of universities and Junior colleges of nursing. Only 0-4.5% of Junior colleges of nursing and 1.5-7.4% of universities used a evaluation tools developed according to their major. 2. Theoretically, 3% of those sampled applied the nursing process as an instrumental means of nursing practice. Bloom's theory was applied by 35.8% of the schools. Most of them used their own measurement tools for evaluating their students. 3. One half of them used quantitative scales, the other half used others. 4. Professional attitudes wire included in their contents bvy 93.9% of universties and 94.1% of Junior colleges of nursing. The major areas of evaluation were knowledge, skills, attitudes and interpersonal relationships in that order. Results ; From this study can be concluded that regardless of the number of academic years of nursing and professional area, common standard evaluation tools for nursing competency were found to be needed. Theoretically, an evaluation scheme which applies the nursing process should be required. Knowledge, skill, attitude and interpersonal relationship would be essential elements to be evaluated. Maximizing the clinical competency and minimizing the conflict elements for nursing students is important. Nursing, education, students and environmental aspects must be consider in the goal of clinical education. A diagram, a checklist and a anecdote note in addition to the quantitative scale are necessary for efficient evaluation.

교사의 개인배경과 연수경험이 디지털교과서 활용역량, 이해수준, 효과성 인식 및 태도에 미치는 영향 (Effects of Teachers' Personal Backgrounds and Training Experiences on Digital Textbook Usage Competency, Understanding, Recognition of Effectiveness, and Attitude)

  • 본 연구는 교사의 개인배경과 연수경험이 디지털교과서 활용역량, 이해수준, 효과성 인식 및 태도에 미치는 영향을 분석하기 위해 수행되었다. 이를 위해 경기 및 전남지역 초 중 고등학교 교사 101명의 설문결과를 SPSS 통계 패키지를 활용하여 분석하였다. 연구결과 남교사의 디지털교과서 활용역량이 여교사에 비해 통계적으로 높았고 성별 및 학교급의 차이는 없었다. 또한 디지털교과서 연수경험이 있는 교사들이 그렇지 않은 교사들에 비해 이해수준은 높았으나 활용역량, 효과성 인식, 태도는 차이가 없는 것으로 나타났다. 연구결과, 정보격차가 일부영역을 제외하고 극복되고 있는 점이 특이사항으로 확인되었으며, 향후 디지털교과서의 발전을 위해 학습자 특성을 고려한 연수 프로그램 설계와 실천의 개선이 요구되었다.

애도상담자 전문역량 향상을 위한 교육과정 탐색 (A Study on Curriculum to Improve Grief Counselor's Competency)

  • 상실은 죽음 뿐 아니라 인생 전환기의 변화까지 포함하는 개념으로 확대되었다. 이와 더불어 자연재해, 예기치 않은 사고 등으로 주변의 죽음을 직 간접적으로 경험하는 비율도 증가하였다. 따라서 애도 상담에 대한 수요 증가와 전문 애도 상담에 대한 필요성이 제기되고 있다. 이에 본 연구는 애도 상담자의 전문역량 향상을 위해 애도 상담 역량 요인을 조사하고, 무엇을 학습하고 훈련해야 하는지 문헌을 검토하고 조사하는데 초점을 두었다. 구체적으로 애도 상담 이론 및 모델, 애도의 평가, 죽음 교육, 상담자 자기-관리로 나누었고 각 교육 내용을 기존 상담교육과정에 통합시키고 경험적 실습 방법을 제시하였다. 본 연구는 애도 상담자 교육에 대한 관심을 고취시키고 애도 상담자 역량 모형 및 체계적인 교육과정 개발에 기초자료로 활용될 수 있다.

간호관리학 임상실습에서 과제수행방식이 간호대학생의 의사소통능력에 따라 문제해결능력과 간호역량에 미치는 효과 (Effects of Task Performance Style in Nursing Management Practicum on Problem-Solving and Nursing Competency according to Communication Ability of Nursing Students)

  • Purpose: This study was done to examine effects of task performance style, communication ability and their interaction on problem-solving ability and nursing competency of nursing students participating in a nursing management practicum. Methods: The study was a non-equivalent control group non-synchronized design. Participants were 56 fourth year nursing students (25 in the cooperative task group and 31 in the individual task group) and data were collected from March to September 2010. Additionally, two groups were classified based on communication ability of students and four groups were classified by their task performance style and communication ability. Problem-solving ability and nursing competency were measured pre- and post-test and compared between groups. Data were analyzed using SPSS Windows 17.0 program. Results: Neither problem-solving ability and nursing competency were statistically significantly different according to task performance style. Nursing competency was statistically significantly higher in the high communication group compared to the low communication group. Problem-solving ability was significantly different among the four groups classified by task performance style and communication ability. Conclusion: Nursing educators may need to improve students' communication ability to improve nursing competency and also assign different tasks based on communication ability of nursing students to improve problem-solving ability.

간호대학 교수의 환자안전 교육역량 (Patient Safety Teaching Competency of Nursing Faculty)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to investigate patient safety teaching competency of nursing faculty and the extent of teaching patient safety topics in the nursing curriculum. Methods: A national survey was conducted with full-time nursing faculty in 4-year nursing schools. Regional quota sampling method was used. An online survey was sent to 1,028 nursing faculty and 207 of them were completed. Among the 207, we analyzed data from 184 participants. The revised Health Professional Education in Patient Safety Survey was used. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, independent t-test, one-way ANOVA, Pearson's correlation analysis, and multiple linear regression analyses. Results: The faculty's self-confidence was lower than their perceived importance of patient safety education. The mean score of teaching patient safety was $3.52{\pm}0.67$ out of 5, and the contents were mostly delivered through lectures. The extent of faculty's teaching varied depending on faculty's clinical career, teaching subjects, participation in practicum courses, and previous experience of patient safety education. The significant predictors of the extent of teaching patient safety were the faculty's self-confidence in teaching patient safety (${\beta}=.39$) during clinical practicum, their perceived importance of patient safety education during lectures (${\beta}=.23$), and the teaching subject (${\beta}=.15$). Conclusion: To enhance the competency of nursing faculty for effective patient safety education, a patient safety education program tailored to faculty characteristics should be developed and continuously provided for faculty. In addition, it is necessary to improve patient safety curriculum, strengthen clinical and school linkages, and utilize various education methods in patient safety education.

수산·해운계 고등학교 학생의 직업기초능력 요소 개발 (A Development of the Elements on Occupational Basic Competencies of Fisheries and Maritime High School Students)

  • The aims of this study are to analysis the elements associated with a occupational basic competencies of fisheries and maritime high school students. Fisheries & maritime key competencies were defined as the abilities that include the essential knowledge, skills, attitude, and experiences required for the workforce on the fisheries and maritime job condition. This research collected preliminary data from 177 fisheries & maritime high school teachers. Data were analyzed to obtain item quality, reliability and validity analysis. The results of the study were as follows; First, largely, fisheris & maritime key competencies were divided into two parts; basic vocational skills and fisheries-maritime job skills. Second, fisheries & maritime key competencies were consisted of communicative competence, numeracy skills, thinking skills, English communication skills, self-management skills, interpersonal competency, selection & application of alternative, marine technology & information skills, marine consciousness and maritime professional ethics. Third, each key competency consisted of 2-9 sub-competencies.

영국 브라이튼대학교 물리치료학과의 직무중심 교육과정 적용 사례 연구 (Case Study for Application of Job Centered Curriculum in Department of Physiotherapy: Brighton University in England)

  • PURPOSE: This study investigated the job-centered curriculum in the Department of Physiotherapy at the University of Brighton, England, to examine NCS (national competency standards) curriculum in physiotherapy. METHODS: The researcher visited the University of Brighton from September 2015 to May 2016 and conducted interviews with faculty members. Data were collected through the university's website and the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy. RESULTS: The undergraduate program is a three-year program and with a module system. There is a course leader for each module. Each grade requires 120 credits (10 hours per credit) and credit hours can be earned through lectures, tutorials, practical sessions, self-directed e-learning, group work, inter-professional classes, and seminars. Clinical placement is carried out six times during 3 years, for a total of 32 weeks, 35 hours per week, 1120 hours in total. Students are enrolled as a student members of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy and are covered by professional liability insurance during clinical placement. The Center for Teaching and Learning holds regular workshops to discuss curriculum and module design, conduct course reviews, and review student assessment and feedback. All courses at the university must be approved, monitored annually, and re-approved every 5 years. CONCLUSION: This study can contribute to the development and operation of the NCS physiotherapy curriculum, as well as to the development of modules and assessment tools related to the application of this curriculum.

프리셉터십 경험 전, 후 프리셉터가 인지하는 역할스트레스와 역량 (Cognition of the Preceptors on the Preceptor's Role Stress and Competency Pre-Post Preceptorship Experience)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to define cognition of the preceptors on the preceptor's role stress and competency pre-post preceptorship experience. Method: This study was designed as a one group pre-test and post-test study. The subjects of this study were 22 preceptors who had the preceptor preparation education and then worked as preceptor for four weeks at a university hospital. For data analyses, percentage, mean, paired t-test, Pearson's Correlation Coefficient were adopted with the use of SPSS WIN 10.0. Result: The results of this study showed that after the preceptorship experience, role stress of the preceptor decreased significantly compared to before the preceptorship experience. All of the score of sub domains was decreased. Especially, there was a significantly difference in education conducting and evaluation, personal relation and communication, professional development. Also, after the preceptorship experience, competency of the preceptor increased significantly compared to before the preceptorship experience. All of the score of sub domains was increased. Particularly, there was a significantly difference in socialization facilitator and educator except learning planning performance. There was a significant positive correlation between educational experience and the number of learner before preceptorship experience of general characteristics and competency, but was not correlation between general characteristics and role stress. Also there was not correlation between role stress and competency. Conclusion: The finding above indicated that the preceptorship was effective in decreasing preceptor's role and increasing preceptor's competency.

상급 종합병원 간호사의 정보검색능력이 근거기반실무 역량에 미치는 영향 (The Influence of Information Retrieval Skill on Evidence Based Practice Competency in Clinical Nurses)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to understand clinical nurses' level of information retrieval skill and its influence on evidence based practice (EBP). Methods: A cross-sectional design was used. Data were collected from a convenient sample of 492 nurses working at 5 university hospitals in Korea. The Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, t-test, one-way ANOVA, and hierarchical multiple linear regression. Results: The mean score for information retrieval skill and EBP competency were respectively $2.81{\pm}0.64$ and $3.98{\pm}0.86$. Two step hierarchical regression analysis showed that attendance at academic conference (p = .036) and information retrieval skill (p<.001) were significant factors of EBP competency, information retrieval skill explained about 19% of total variance of EBP competency. Conclusion: Nurse need to increased fundamental information retrieval skill for EBP competency. Therefore, it is important to increase nurses' information retrieval skills by tailoring continuing EBP education modules. It would be also advisable to develop centralized systems for the internal dissemination of research findings for the use of nursing staff.

라이프케어의 피부미용 NCS기반 자격 L3수준의 교육 중요도 연구 (An Importance Analysis on the NCS-Based Skin Care Qualification L3 Level of Education in Life Care)

  • 최근 교육훈련기관과 산업체의 수요에 필요한 지식이 불일치하는 인력 미스매치(miss match)의 현상은 신입 직원의 재교육과 취업을 위한 사교육 비용 증가로 전이되어 결과적으로는 개인의 직무수행 능력 저하와 취업 역량 저조는 물론 국가 차원에서도 경제적, 물질적 낭비의 원인이 되고 있다. 이러한 문제점을 보완하기 위해 실무에서 바로 활용이 가능하고 산업체에서 추구하는 인재양성을 목표로 국가에서 지정하는 직무 능력의 표준점을 구한 국가직무능력표준(NCS: National Competency Standards)이 개발되었으며, 이러한 시대적 흐름과 맞물려 NCS를 기반 한 자격제도까지 등장하게 되었다. 따라서 본 연구는 교육기관에서 NCS와 NCS기반 자격에서 제시하고 있는 수준에 맞춰 학교급별로 교육과정을 편성 운영하고 있는 현 시점에서 NCS기반 자격에서 제시하고 있는 수준의 전반적인 점검을 위하여 피부미용 분야 NCS기반 자격 중 피부관리 L3수준의 능력단위와 능력단위 요소의 중요도 및 우선순위를 도출하였으며, 이를 통해 산업계에서 요구하는 직무 수준별 전문인력 양성에 필요한 교육과정 개발의 기초자료로 제공하고자 시도되었다. 본 연구는 현장 전문가집단, 교육 전문가집단으로 구성하였으며, L3수준의 능력단위와 능력단위 요소에 대한 요구분석을 위해 AHP 설문 기법을 실시하였다. 또한 AHP 분석을 위한 통계처리는 데이터 코딩(data coding)과 데이터 크리닝(data cleaning) 과정을 거쳐, SPSS(Statistical Package for Social Science) ver. 21.0 통계 패키지 프로그램과 AHP전용 솔루션인 Expert Choice 2000을 활용하였다. 그 결과 현장 전문가집단, 교육 전문가집단의 의견이 부분적으로 차이를 보였다. 이는 전문적인 능력을 갖춘 현장맞춤형 인재 양성을 목표로 변화하고 있는 현 시점에서, 교육훈련기관과 산업현장의 불일치를 해소해야함을 시사하고 있으며, 해결 방안으로는 산업현장에서 요구하는 인재상과 접목시켜 산업현장의 직무와 교육기관의 표준화된 교육이라 할 수 있다.
