로봇 매니퓰레이터의 강인한 제어 (Robust control of robot manipulators)

  • In this paper, we derive a simple robust nonlinear control scheme for n-link robot manipulators subject to parameter uncertainty. By using the theory of variable structure system(VSS) and taking advantage of the important property of the robot dynamics, the stability of the derived control scheme is proved. This scheme utilizes the desired trajectory outputs, which can be calculated a priori, instead of the actual joint outputs in the nonlinear compensation controller. So the amount of on-line calculations is largely reduced, and as a result, this scheme can be implemented much more efficiently.

  • Conventional robot manipulators actuated by motors with the speed reducer such as the harmonic drive have weakness in the load capacity, since the speed reducer does not have enough strength. To improve this, a new type of robot actuator based on the four-bar-link mechanism driven by the ball screw was constructed. Also, a new type of revolute robot manipulator composed of the developed actuators was developed. But, modelling errors occur due to the off-set from the nominal model since the exact modeling of the complex inertia variation of the four-bar-link actuator is very difficult. To control the proposed robot along the prescribed trajectory, a sliding mode control algorithm was applied with compensation function for the modeling errors. To show performance of the proposed controller, a computer simulation was performed, and its results was presented.

A Novel Control Scheme Based on the Synchronous Frame for APF

  • For the purpose of enhancing the performance of the shunt active power filter (APF), this paper presents a novel Fast Weighted Compound Control (FWCC) strategy based on the synchronous frame. In this control strategy, the proposed new repetitive controller can work faster and more stably by reducing the internal model cycle and introducing a damping coefficient. In addition, the harmonic detector can be removed to simplify the structure of the APF owing to the improvements. Furthermore, a proportional-integral (PI) controller is added to work in parallel with the repetitive controller by using a weighted ratio. Then, a convergence speed analysis and design algorithm are given in detail. Simulation and experimental results show that the harmonic distortion is reduced from 2.91% to 1.89%. In addition, the content for each of the characteristic harmonic orders has decreased by more than three times.

일부 응급구조과 3학년생의 직업 가치관에 관한 연구 (The Study on Subjectivity of Job Values about Senior Student of EMT Dept)

  • Purpose : The purpose of this study was to explore the structure and characteristics of job values about senior student of EMT Dept. Method : A Q-methodology was used to identify factors in job values. A Q-sample was collected from in-depth and objective interviews and literature reviews. A P-sample was composed of 31 EMT students. Result : Results revealed three factors; Self achievement-oriented, stability-oriented, and aptitude-oriented. The 'self achievement-oriented' factor was characterized by preference of achievement, worth, and activity in choosing occupation. The 'stability-oriented' factor was focused on security of retirement age, pay, compensation, and lifelong job. The 'aptitude-oriented' factor was showed aptitude, interesting in choosing occupation. Conclusion : We evaluated that these results was used as useful data for the development of curriculum and guidance of choosing occupation.

  • In this paper, the effects of diverse parameters on the operation of loop heat pipe (LHP), such as particle diameter of sintered porous wick, wick porosity, vapor line diameter, thickness of wick and heating capacity were investigated by a theoretical analysis. A LHP has a wick only in its evaporator for the circulation of working fluid, and utilizes a porous wick structure of which pore size is very small to obtain a large capillary force. The working fluid is water and the material of sintered porous wick is copper. For these different parameters, capillary pressure, pressure drop in wick, pressure drops and temperature distribution were analyzed by a theoretical design method of LHP.

  • This study proposes a control method using a repetitive controller for a boost-type PFC rectifier with an APD circuit structure to improve the current distortion caused by DCM condition. Conventional proportional integral controllers have bandwidth limitations in DCM conditions. The performance improvement of the APD controller in the DCM region is verified through simulations and experiments on the compensation of harmonics by the repetitive controller.

  • Force-controlled electro-hydrostatic actuators have to exhibit high backdrivability, to quickly compensate for force control errors caused by externally disturbed rod movement. To obtain high backdrivability, the servomotor for driving the hydraulic pump, should rotate exactly to such a revolution to compensate for force control errors, compressing or decompressing cylinder chambers. In this study, we proposed a modified velocity control structure, including a robust internal-loop compensator (RIC)-based velocity controller, for the servomotor to improve backdrivability of a force-controlled EHA. Performance improvement was confirmed experimentally, wherein sinusoidal velocity disturbance was applied to the force-controlled EHA, with constant reference input. Its dynamic force control errors reduced effectively, with the proposed control scheme, compared to test results with a conventional motordriver, for motor velocity control.

Three-Phase Current Balancing Strategy with Distributed Static Series Compensators

  • This paper proposes a three-phase current balancing strategy in a power transmission system employing distributed static series compensators (DSSCs). With the proposed variable quadrature voltage injection method, the DSSC emulates either an inductive or a capacitive impedance into the transmission line, and the magnitudes of the phase currents are balanced. Hence, the phase imbalances in the power transmission system are significantly reduced. As a result, the power transfer capability of the transmission lines can be improved. The operational principle of the DSSCs, the hardware structure and the control algorithm are described in detail. Finally, the theoretical analyses and the proposed strategy are experimentally verified through a scaled down transmission system with DSSC prototypes.

Does Learning Matter for Wages in Korea? International Comparison of Wage Returns to Adult Education and Training

  • This study compares the wage equation in Korea to those in other countries, focusing on the wage returns to adult education and training (AET) participation. It is found that the wage compensation structure in Korea is associated mainly with job characteristics such as tenure and workplace size rather than with worker characteristics such as AET participation and cognitive abilities. It is also found that Korea's AET participation is skewed toward non-job-related AET, relative to the situations in other countries. These findings imply that the link between a worker's productivity and wage should be strengthened in order to incentivize workers to invest in AET relevant to the labor market.

고해상도 능동 위상 배열 영상 레이더를 위한 고안정 송수신 시스템 개발 및 성능 보정 연구 (Development and Performance Compensation of the Extremely Stable Transceiver System for High Resolution Wideband Active Phased Array Synthetic Aperture Radar)

  • 본 논문에서는 고해상도 광대역 영상 레이더용 X-대역 송수신기를 설계, 제작하고 성능 보정을 위한 연구를 수행하였다. 영상 레이더용 송수신기는 송신기, 수신기, 송수신 경로기 및 주파수 발생기로 구성되며, 특히 수신기는 지상 이동 표적 탐지를 위한 2 채널 모노펄스 구조를 가진다. 송수신기는 운용 모드에 따라 고해상도 모드를 위한 deramping 수신 기능을 제공하며, SAR 운용 모드에 적합하게 수신 대역폭 선택 기능을 가진다. 송수신기는 X-대역에서 300 MHz 이상의 대역폭을 가지며, T/R 모듈을 구동시키기에 적합하도록 송신 출력은 13.3dBm이며, 수신 이득은 39 dB, 잡음 지수는 3.96 dB 이하인 성능을 얻었다. 수신 이득은 6 비트 디지털 감쇠기에 의해 제어되며, 이득 조절 범위는 30 dB를 보였다. 수신 동적 범위는 30 dB이며, 수신 I/Q 채널 간 진폭 오차는 ${\pm}$0.38 dB 이내, 위상 오차는 ${\pm}$3.47도 이내를 보였다. 시험 결과, 송수신기는 영상 레이더에서 요구되는 전기적인 성능을 만족하였으며, 또한 영상 레이더의 성능을 크게 좌우하는 펄스 오차 항목이 분석되었으며, 임펄스 응답 특성을 개선하기 위한 보정 기법을 적용하여 개발 목표 규격을 만족하는 것을 확인하였다.
