A cost-function based on manipulability and compatibility is designed to determine assembly motions of two cooperating manipulators. Assembly motions are planned along the direction maximizing performance indices to improve control performance of the two manipulators. This paper proposes bimanual task compatibility by defining cost functions. The proposed cost functions are applied and compared to the bimanual assembly task. The problem is formulated as a constrained optimization considering assembly constraints, position of the workpieces, and kinematics and redundancy of the bimanual robot. The proposed approach is evaluated with simulation of a peg-in-hole assembly with an L-shaped peg and two 3-dof manipulators.

The Architecture, engineering & construction (AEC) industry domains have grown more complex and larger. BIM is a digital representation of a building to facilitate the exchange and development of construction information integration and interoperability. Industry Foundation Classes (IFCs), under development by International Alliance for Interoperability (IAI), represent the part of buildings or elements of a process. IFC has been adopted as a central information repository in order to deliver integrated information. BIM softwares could open the IFC file, recognize standard objects. However, sometimes, information distortion or information loss occurs during information exchange. As project participants exchange BIM information by using BIM softwares they will need a reliable and efficient exchange of information. This paper suggests the BIM object information compatibility problems among BIM softwares and classify the BIM object information compatibility problems.

During the COMS system level test, the RF compatibility will be performed in order to verify that there is no issue in RF interface between satellite and COMS ground station, namely SOC (Satellite Operation Center) before the launch. As used for KOMPSAT1, the RF coaxial cable was chosen to be used to connect satellite and SOC with various advantages as compared with ground antennas. As the preparation step, RF cable and required multiplexer were tested in advance. This paper suggests the way for the RF compatibility tests between the satellite and the SOC over RF cable interface and presents the estimated level diagram as the signal power analysis result.

The dimensional measurement equipment, such as Coordinate Measurement Machine (CMM), Optical Coordinate Measurement Machine (OCMM), and Checking Fixture (CF), take multiple dimensional measurements for each part in an automobile industry. Measurements are also recorded under different measurement systems to see if the responses differ significantly over these systems. Each measurement system (CMM, OCMM, and CF) will be considered as different treatments. This set-up provides massive amounts of process data which are multivariate in nature. Therefore, the multivariate statistical analysis is required to analyze data that are dependent on each other. This research provides step by step methodology for the evaluation procedure of the compatibility of measurement systems and clarify a systematic analyzation among the different measurement system's compatibility followed by number of case studies for each methodologies provided.

The prevalent phenomenon in the high technology market shows market-determined do facto standard is preferred to de jure standard determined by formal organization. The purpose of the study is to provide a framework to empirically examine the relationship between network externalities and switching costs from the consumer's point of view Key findings of the study are ： First, physical compatibility and upgradability are positively related to the network externalities. Second, conceptual compatibility and expertise are negatively related to the switching costs. Third, the network externalities and the switching costs are positively related to the continuous usage decision. Finally, the network externalities are positively related to the switching costs. The followings are major implications of the study. First, network externalities and bandwagon effects have different causal relationship respectively. Second, contrast to Weiss and Heide's (1993) study, the study suggests multiple dimensions of compatibility, Third, physical compatibility and upgradability increase switching costs through network externalities as the moderator.

Surface modification of polypropylene hollow fiber membranes was peformed in order to develop blood-compatible biomaterials for use in the blood contacting and oxygenation membranes of a lung-assist device(LAD). Blood compatibility was determined by using anticoagulation blood and evaluating formation of blood clots on their surfaces as well as activation of plasma coagulation cascade, platelet adhesion, and aggregation. It was verified that the number of platelets on the silicone coated fibers was significantly lower than those on polypropylene. It was also found that the polypropylene hollow fiber membranes using plasma treatment exhibited suppression of complement activation in blood compatibility test.

This study aims to investigate the compatibility between 'quality' and 'R&D' and to ascertain what methodology can be applied. To consider the compatibility, this study discussed whether quality management can expand into R&D area in future and whether the quality management principles in ISO9000 can work well in R&D environment. Our conclusion is that the application of the quality management in R&D is valid and can serve as a new paradigm for improving R&D performance. In addition, this study divided the quality concept in R&D into several types from the viewpoints of quality definition and suggested quality methodologies for each type.

국내의 고추, 사과, 포도, 스타티스(statice)에서 분리한 Glomerella cingulata 균주들의 병원성과 체세포화 합성군(vegetative compatibility group : VCG)과의 관계를 조사하였다. 사과, 포도, 스타티스에서 분리된 균주들은 전기주에 모드 병원성을 나타내었으나 고추에는 병원성이 없었다. 한편, 고추에서 분리된 균주들은 무상처접종시 병원성을 나타내지 못하였다. Nitrate nonutilizing(nit) mutant는 1.5%의 KClO\ulcorner을 첨가한 최소배지에서 선발하였다. nit mutnat들은 nit1, nit2, nit3, nitM의 4가지 표현형 중 하나에 속하였다. VCG는 표현형이 다른 nit mutan간의 대치배양을 통해 결정하였는데 사과, 포도, 스타티스에서 분리한 균주들간에는 같은 VCG를 나타낸 반면 고추에서 분리된 균주들은 다른 VCG로 나타났다. 따라서 G. cingulata 균주들의 체세포화합성은 병원성과 밀접하게 관련되어 있음을 알수 있었다. 또한 동일한 VCG에 속하며 기주가 다른 균주들의 대치배양시 heterokaryon을 형성했으나 자낭을 형성하지는 않았다.

Nowadays many two-wheeled motorcycles are used in leisure and express delivery industries. But studies of the electromagentic compatibility on motorcycles have seldom been performed and published. This paper has studied the electromagnetic safety of motorcycles considering international and domestic regulations and standards. Also, a series of experiments have been performed to evaluate the level of electromagnetic compatibility of commercially available motorcycles. As a result, detailed experimental procedures are proposed to secure the electromagnetic safety and can be used to confirm or revise the Korea Motor Vehicle Safety Standards.
