The impact of a long-rod penetrator into oblique plates with combined obliquity and yaw is investigated. The study was done using a newly developed three dimensional dynamic and impact analysis code, which uses the explicit finite element method. Through the comparison of simulation result with experimental result and other code's result, the adaptability and accuracy of the developed code is evaluated under the complex situation in which yaw angle and oblique angle exist simultaneously. As a result of comparison, it has found that deformed shape, residual length and velocity, rotational velocity of long-rod show good agreement with experimental data. Through this study, the applicability and accuracy of the code as a metallic armour system design tool is verified.

As the level of life improves, the eating habit is changing from rice meal to bread meal and at the time, eat more strawberry jam than before. We tried to study to select the good cooking method and the proper strawberry variety for the jam through the sensory evaluation We made four kinds jam of Bogyo-Joseoung and Ai-berry by different cooking methods, the result6s of the sensory evaluation are as follow: The jam of Ai-berry is better than that of Bogyo-Joseoung by the paired comparison test but the difference between those, if we add some lemon to the jam of Bogyo-Joseoung and Ai-berry, is very little. The multiple comparison test proves the sourness, if added some lemon and citric acid, become better and the color and viscosity, if added pectin, became better. The overall preference about jam, if pectin and citric acid were added together, was best. In addition, we evaluated the quality of jammed bread by multiple comparison test. The result is like this: The jam with lemon is very good in color, flavor, sourness and texture, but the jam with pectin and citric acid was the best in overall preference.

This study is aimed to compare individualism and collectivism propensity of married immigrant women in a Korean rural area. By result of comparison on nationality, the level of collectivism was higher than it of individualism in every country, but the level of collectivism among the countries was no significant difference. The level of individualism among the countries was difference significantly, and the level of individualism of Chinese is most high but it of Japanese is most low. By logistic regression analysis the probability to be involved in the group that level of individualism is high was heightened as respondent have no religion or their's satisfaction on rural life increase. The level of horizontal propensity was higher than it of vertical propensity both individualism and collectivism. But the result of comparison on nationality, difference between horizontal and vertical propensity was no significant. Besides of these results, practical implications were discussed.

The inter-laboratory comparison test which is demanded on the authorized test of ISO/IEC 17025 is the program to guarantee the confidence of test result. This paper, as a part of the inter-laboratory comparison test between South Korea and China, is refered to the characteristic of friction coefficient of disk brake lining for rolling stock according to disk type. Brake tests were carried out under constant brake force and operating sequence by using dynamo-tester according to disk and disk lining types. To establishing the confidence of test result, we calculated A type uncertainty about friction coefficient and investigated the factors about the variation of friction coefficient.

Recently, studies on wearable devices in ubiquitous computing environments have increased and the technology collecting user's activities to provide services has received great attention. We have compared the step counting methods according to sensor molding methods in case of counting steps by using the piezoelectric sensor. We have classified the cases which could result from the course of molding the internal module of a smart shoe as follows: (i) the module is unmolded, (ii) molded but only to the extent that a sensor is fixed or (iii) molded to the extent that a sensor is not moved. Moreover, we have made comparison to verify which algorithm should be used to increase the accuracy of counting steps by the respective cases. Based on the comparison result, we have confirmed that the accuracy of counting steps is higher when using gradient value rather than when using threshold value. In the case of no molding and small molding under the condition of using gradient value, it was turned out to be 100% accuracy for step counting.

In this paper, we generalize the Bishop-Gromov volume comparison theorem by considering an integral bound for the part of the radial Ricci curvature which lies below a given smooth function. We also establish a compactness theorem from this result.

Interface tracking of two phase is significant to analyze multi-phase phenomena. The VOF(Volume of Fluid) and level set are well known interface tracking method. However, they have limitations to solve compressible flow and incompressible flow at the same time. CIP(Cubic Interpolate Propagation) method is appropriate for considering compressible and incompressible flow at once by solving the governing equation which is divided up into advection and non-advection term. In this article, we analyze the droplet impingement according to various We number using improved CIP method which treats nonlinear term once more comparison with original CIP method. Furthermore, we compare spread radius after droplet impingement on the wall with the experimental data and original CIP method. The result using improved CIP method shows the better result of the experiments, comparison with result of original CIP method, and it reduces the mass conservation error which is generated in the numerical analysis comparison with original CIP method.

Objectives The recent prevalence rate of obesity in children is increasing, but so far the majority of ongoing research is focused on obesity in adults. Even comparison studies between obesity in adults and in children are insufficient at this stage. Thus, our research will investigate the characteristics of obesity in children based on the comparison with adults. Methods The blood levels including glucose, cholesterol, AST, ALT of obese children and obese adults were compared and analyzed. Results From comparison studies, the levels of glucose, cholesterol, ALT in adults were higher than in children. In order to take account the age differences, only the rate of abnormal levels based on the reference range were compared. As a result, the abnormal rate in blood cholesterol level was higher in children. Conclusions Childhood obesity may develop complications at early age and has high potential risk to result in adult obesity as well. Therefore, child obesity needs to be treated with more caution and careful attention.

In this paper, a 2-dimensional phase comparison direction finding receiver was designed and fabricated. For 2-D comparison direction finding, direction finding formulas were derived from a uniformly arranged of four antennas. Based on this, a direction finding receiver was designed using Matlab simulink, and the direction finding receiver was fabricated. To analyze the performance of the designed direction finding receiver, the injection direction finding accuracy and simulation results were compared. As a result of the test, the fabricated direction finding receiver showed a maximum of 3° RMS precision, and the result of both tests showed similar trends. Also, it was confirmed that the direction finding accuracy of elevation angle is about 2.7 times better than azimuth angle, and both models performed well within 0.7° RMS at the boresight.

Objectives : This paper was for studying the features of sleep according to Sasang Constitution and to be helpful to make a diagnosis Sasang Constitution. Using the result of this study, it will be helpful to diagnose a Sasang constitution. Methods : There were 610 patients(258 men, 352 women) who answered questionnaire and were diagnosed by the Sasang Constitution Specialist at Constitutional Clinic of Dongguk Bundang Oriental Hospital. Using the response of questionnaire and several statistical techniques such as homogeneity test and multiple comparison, we tried to find the characteristics of each constitution depending on its sleep behaviors. 3. Results : As a result of the analysis of questionnaire, Soeumin has many dreams in comparison with other constitution(p<0.01). Taeumin and Soyangin have a few dream in comparison with Soeumin(p<0.01). Taeyangin has a characteristic that 'he is not drowsy comparatively, he awakes easily, he is not drowsy if it is cold, he is not drowsy and has many dreams if he has many stress.(p<0.01) Taeumin has a characteristics that 'he has a few dream in ordinary times'(p<0.01).
